A new AP-Ipsos poll finds that nearly eight in 10 Americans believe “the country is moving in the wrong direction…amid soaring food and gas prices, falling home values and unending war. Just 17 percent say the country is going in the right direction.” This figure is the lowest since the survey began in 2003, and when compared with other past surveys, “the general level of pessimism is the worst in almost 30 years.”

Will those 8 out of 10 Americans vote for Change in November or will they continue to follow the lying BS handed to them by the Repubs?
June 19th, 2008 at 9:43 pmYer doin’ a heckuvajob, Bushie!
June 19th, 2008 at 9:46 pmI read once (and I wish I could find where) that something like 19% of Americans think they are in the top 1% of income earners in this country. Certainly the top 1% thinks things are fine and ducky (except for the part where poor people get some of the rich peoples’ unpaid tax money on their unearned income). Maybe that’s why so many think the country is doing just fine.
Then again, about one out of six people are pretty stupid. (Have you been on the highways lately? They’re everywhere!)
June 19th, 2008 at 9:49 pmthe other 20% clearly have an IQ of a snail….actually, that’s an insult to the snail.
June 19th, 2008 at 9:56 pmsometimes it takes the artistic musicians (punks) to get to the truth….quickly.

June 19th, 2008 at 10:01 pmthe greedy rich, the rapture ready and the bigoted.
No shit?
But will those 8 out of 10 show up to vote?
Ha!
June 19th, 2008 at 10:03 pmAnd the other 2 out of 10 think they’re going in the right direction even though their GPS has cut out on them…
June 19th, 2008 at 10:07 pmno. look for 5.1 percent of the people to show up at the booths. just enough for another stolen election.
June 19th, 2008 at 10:08 pmsry 50.1 percent
June 19th, 2008 at 10:09 pmThe question is: will Americans wake up and realize it was the conservative revolution that’s responsible for direction this country has taken, that Ronald Reagan wasn’t a great president but rather one of many causes for the decline we’re experiencing?
Only by understanding what went wrong can we hope to fix it.
