Cute. Black enough to whom, African Americans? Hate to break it to you, but, most of us really don’t give a sh*it about this stuff (most of us under the age of 50, anyway)

BTW. Even if the quantity/quality of one’s “blackness” did matter to Black voters, how are John Kerry, Al Gore and Bill Clinton “blacker” than Barack Obama? What did these gentlemen do to “blacken” themselves sufficiently so that they were acceptable to Black voters?

This is ridiculous. First, there is no need for pictures of Barack Obama and his father, after all, he was abandoned by his father. Secondly, he was raised in a mostly white family. If anything, Barack Obama should have a really good understanding about race issues in this country. As a grandson and son of admirals, McCain only understands the privilege and special treatment while serving in the Navy. Just one more McCain and Bush similarity. No wonder Johnny boy hugs Georgie. They have so much in common.

This is more insidious nonsense that comes from people who have issues with the hue of the skin. The only thing that makes one skin lighter or darker than another is the amount of melanin one’s body has. I hate to break it to those who are uninformed or in denial, but at least one-third of those who check the Anglo-American box on the job application/census/ have some heritage of color and African descent. I am Irish/Cherokee/African and my grandfather used to “pass” when he needed to go to the bathroom while traveling. What I want to know is: what is “white” and what is “black”? Is it culture, is it education, is it just because people need to have something that they can use to believe that they are better than? If one was to use culture and education, I would be considered “what”? I like a very diverse number of things, from many cultures. I don’t fit anyone’s stereotype, nor do many, many people I know. Just as I don’t believe that the majority of Anglos are spoken for by the minority who hide behind their computers or microphones or whatever, making hatefilled, minimizing comments in some weak attempt at leveling , I would hope that thinking, conscious people would begin to do whatever is necessary to stop the madness because there is no such thing as being more “white” than “black”. There is however the posibility of being more inhuman than human.

So instead of knowing the fact that Obama is bi-racial, white mother from Kansas and a Kenya father from Africa and a half-sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, born in Indonesia, nimrods like Weisman who has two asses instead of one have to make total fools out of themselves to claim that Obama is more white than black.

This is the way it will always be with a liberal or Democratic candidate. The press will never allow them to measure up. Look at Obama. He is a member of the elite. Remind them of his humble beginnings and the problem is that he skipped the middle class. If he goes to an African American church, he is too black. If he wants to note his diverse background, he is too white. If he made a lower middle class wage as an organizer, he is too wealthy to understand the poor or to be credited with sufficient empathy or community spirit. Nothing will ever be good enough to qualify him as a candidate.
