Well, you see, in 2003 shortly after Bush started his little war in Iraq, and after Gen. Jay Garner was fired, the Heritage Foundation website started accepting applications from young and eager Republicans who wanted to join the Bush adventure in Mesopotamia by working at Bremer’s Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA). (And no doubt other right-wing think tank websites did the same, recruiting young and eager Republicans to work in the Green Zone in Baghdad).

Unfortunately, just like what happened at the Justice Department, some of these young and eager Republicans had surpassed their Peter Principle level, and were wholly unqualified to work in the Green Zone, like the young and eager Republican with no banking experience who was put in charge of reforming the Iraqi banking system.

Geez, I could have done that. Oh, right, I’m a liberal, progressive Democrat who has no place in a Fascist Republican-Ruled America, so my application would have never been accepted at the Heritage Foundation or at the corrupt Bush Justice Department.

Thanks for reminding us the larger purge needed to bring back our democracy.

Regency U(seless) and Liberty U(seless) grads must also be purged, along with all Fascist Society members from the DOJ and our entire gov.

Several……….For the inherent comedy value.

I’ve tried to make sense of The Federalist Society. And there is no making sense of them. At a glance they are guilty of not supporting their own ideas. They believe in freedom, but not privacy. They believe in seperation of powers, but think the executive should have more power than the congress. They think judges should interpret the letter of the law, but they support torture.

Separation of powers apparently doesn’t mean they’re co-equal. To these bozos, it means “We run the executive branch and you, you’re over there. Separate. Just keep quiet until there’s something we need from you.”

None hopefully. It’s not about balance, picking equal numbers of wingnuts from both sides. It’s about respect for the Constitution and the rule of law, neither of which are a apart of the Federalist Society. Antonin Scalia is proof of that.
