I thought Bush didn’t sign his name because he got confused with the placement of E and O in his first name. That and he wants to use his favorite Crayola to sign it…and be allowed to color outside of that “pesky black line, because I have a creative side”.

McCain is missing votes to go get the votes of people who were members of the “Lollipop Guild”. Mashed veggies and tasty puddings with “like-minded” folk are enough reason for Johnnie ToughTalk to ignore his Constitutional Duty, to you know…vote on policies that shape our nation.

Is this for their entire Senate tenure, or just for this Congressional term? Even if it’s just for the 110th Congress, I’m still impressed there are nine of them with perfect records.

After the results gained by Bushco, the most anti-intellectual administration in U.S. history, we need all the input from “librul perfessors” we can get. With luck, we might be able to undo the majority of the damage in 50 years or so. Some things, however, are permanently FUBAR.

Back on topic, I have always felt that people running for higher office should be required to resign or appoint a proxy. The day to day operation of the Legislature should take precedence over personal ambition.

My family was very political. My parents discusses politics all the time. He was a Nixon Republican and she was a Kennedy Democrat. I greatly admired Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King and Eugene McCarthy, so I became a liberal. In 1976, the first presidential election in which I was old enough to vote, I cast a ballot for Eugene McCarthy, who ran as an independent. That fall, I was a freshman in college, and the “quacked out professors” hardly had time to “indoctrinate me”. In 1980, I voted for former Republican John Anderson, who also ran as an independent. So, you can see the “quacked out professors” did not make me more liberal. In fact, in the 80’s, I was foolish enough to vote Libertarian, until I finally began to understand the dark side of libertarianism.

So, you can see that you premise is wrong, at least in my case.

Now go spew you anti-education somewhere else, dumbass.

rogerX2 brings up Obama’s strategic STATE Senate voting present to “refute” the fact that his voting record in the Federal Senate is 20% better than McCain’s this year. He uses an OLD smear that was already debunked. He should go back to cut-and-paste.
