Video: Lieberman Must Go.

Video: Lieberman Must Go.

Today, Brave New Films launched a “Lieberman Must Go” petition drive. The campaign argues that, because Joe Lieberman has overtly supported and defended President Bush and John McCain’s key policies, he no longer deserves a chairmanship or leadership role in the Senate Democratic Caucus. Watch this video:

Send him into retirement ………..Back to Israel , where he belongs.

  2. ralph the wonder llama says:

Well, I’m hoping that Democratic gains of four to six seats in November will make this a done deal. But there’s no guarantee that Harry Reid will see what the rest of us see so clearly.

  3. PatrioticLiberalChristian says:

…after we have a clear Democratic majority without him.

  4. Above the Clouds says:

Lieberman is already gone. Like so many of his brethren on the right, he has hitched his wagon to a falling neocon star.

  5. robbez_92107 says:

    Joe LIEbermann = Zell Miller.

How big is the Ned Lamont buyer’s remorse in the Nutmeg State now?

  6. moondancer says:

Funny you’d post this now. joementum just finished a noble interview on NPR as I logged on. He’s just going to plod on doing whats best for the sheep er citizens of our country and not worry about the consequences. He took a shot the “them” defeating him in the primary. What a hero. I can’t wait for the kabuki when he gets his ass beat like a drum in 2010.

  7. RUCerious says:

Why wait till January, when the Senate is 57 – 41? He does the Dems no favors now, just dump his Repugnicant ass.

  8. sacopenapa says:

Lieberman Must Go… So does Pelosi and Reid. TRAITORS!

  9. Chris L says:

    Leiberman must go.

    Agreed.

  10. Buckie Boy says:

LIEbermann – His name says it all, turncoat, scum bag.

He likes him some Gannon tush, curtsey of GWB.

I wonder if he is wired to McSame?

  11. Leftside Annie says:

No matter what happens, LIEberman’s career is basically over. The Repukes won’t trust him and the Democrats are going to kick his scraggy old ass to the curb.

And I hope he rots in Hell.

  12. marlow says:

Hey, what took y’all so long?

  13. Chris L says:

    rogerse Says:

    There’s a reason he’s an “independant democrat”.
    #####

    And that reason is …?

He should have just switched to the republican party altogether, his voting record shows this.

  14. Fred says:

    rogerse Says:
I guess you think that makes sense?

  15. RUCerious says:

Off topic, but I just wanted to bulletin board Daryll, that a new Survey USA puts his home state of Indiana (famous for it’s baby deer slaughter) on Obama’s side 48/47. Gotta wonder if St D’s parents are voting Obama?

  16. StratRat says:

    There’s a reason he’s an “independant democrat”.

Yeah, it’s because he couldn’t win as a regular, patriotic democrat. He’ll be gone soon enough – don’t you worry.

  17. RUCerious says:

Rather than an ‘Independent Democrat’ it’s much closer to

    Israeli Operative.

  18. Fred says:

lieberman is niether independant or democratic. He is republican. Our troll knows that. don’t know why he thinks we care what he thinks though.

  19. Chris L says:

I hope McCain picks Lieberman as his running mate.

  20. ralph the wonder llama says:

My theory is that Lieberman got some positive feedback for criticizing Clinton’s BJ, and even got himself a VP nom for it. So he got used to it. He criticized Democrats more and more. And he got hooked on the illusion of a “reach around” — I mean, “reach across the aisle” kind of guy.

Then he got body-slammed in the Connecticut primary and got peeved.

Now he’s just paying back all those mean Democrats who don’t appreciate him.

IOt will be soooooo sweet to see him stripped of his leadership positions.

    Yeah

It sounds better to mindless Chimpy backing cretins like yourself than phony Dem – really another GOP skid mark………..

I don’t know, but he won as an independant, and is officially listed as “ID“.

Yeah , because it’s short for “IDIOT” ; the party your obviously a full-fledged member of……….

And how does he compartively stand on domestic policy…

    June 25th, 2008 at 7:01 pm

He stands firmly behind a strong national security and domestic policy program ………….For Israel.

I’m glad you could translate that, MCM, because I couldn’t make heads nor tails of it.

  25. gummitch says:

    rogerse Says:

And how does he compartively stand on domestic policy…

Right next to John McCain. Close enough to whisper in his ear.

  26. pete says:

rog, rog, rog. Haven’t you figured out that thoughtful people find his support for the invasion/occupation of Iraq a deal breaker? Here’s the deal. If one supports the mistaken (Please note I didn’t use the term illegal.) invasion/occupation of a foreign country? They are FINISHED. DONE. KAPUT!

Joe could write a personal check to every inhabitant of the planet and he would still be unfit to serve in our government.

    MCMetal Says:

    I said domestic, idiot…nevermind..

    June 25th, 2008 at 7:09 pm

Israel is domestic to Loserman , you moronic GOP/Chimpy backing sycophant……..

  28. ralph the wonder llama says:

rogerse calling anyone else “idiot” is like Karl Rove whining about someone outing a CIA officer. Or Newt Gingrich complaining about someone else being “partisan”. Or George W. Bush calling someone “incompetent”.

  29. pete says:

And why, rog, should we think that someone so wrong on foreign policy would be right on domestic? Hasn’t Lieberman’s disastrous foreign policy worsened the domestic front? Hasen’t he voted with the Reps on doestic policy too?

Joe has proven to be a Republican in all but name. Kinda like one of those “enemy combatants”, who refuse to wear a uniform, and be identified by same.

    pete Says:

how has he supported the gop on domestics..

    June 25th, 2008 at 7:43 pm

Backing the GOP nominee for president ; another unintelligible , narrow-minded simpleton , pretty much answers that question , doesn’t it ?

  31. pete says:

Actually rog, that was a question. “Hasn’t he voted with the Reps on domestic policy too?” That squiggly thing on the end denotes a question. Personally I neither know nor care.

My point was that Lieberman’s domestic record is irrelevant. EVERYONE who continues to support Bushco’s follies in the Mideast has to go. No exceptions. Until they are gone we will continue to suffer on the international stage and we will suffer domestically. Because, despite the wet dreams of isolationists, we NEED the goodwill of the rest of the world to flourish.

  32. madmax says:

Never going to happen. Too many right wing Democrats in the Senate.

By the way; F U Joe.

  33. Freedom Rebel says:

    #10 rogerse Says:

    There’s a reason he’s an “independant democrat”.

A technicality- he is backed by Naral 100%. He is a Pro-Choice Voter. Republicans are Pro-Life. That is the only issue we can count on him to be consistant with the democratic party.

Otherwise, he is completely and utterly worthless. But I had to acknowledge he does one thing right.

  34. STL Cynic says:

I have little to say about Lieberman that would be positive, but…….. Dems hold the Senate by the narrowest of margins. If Lieberman is removed from his positions of leadership he moves to the Rebuttlickin’ caucus and the majority swings on the vote of the VP.

Lieberman is an excellent example however, of the fallacy under which Progressives labor in this country and one of the greatest problems with a two-party system. Just because Republicans are bad doesn’t mean that Democrats are good. This polarized absolutist reasoning will ultimately doom our republic.

  35. Max-1 says:

    .

    Ahhh…

To be such a wanted man among GOP men…

Joe must be really, REALLY hung.

“So, it only goes to show that everybody knows McCain is the man for the job.”

“Everybody” meaning the 41.3% that currently support Sen. McCain, or “everybody” meaning the 48.2% that currently support Sen. Obama?

  38. chestersam says:

    Lieberman was Gore’s worse mistake

  39. chestersam says:
