Speaking of Barack Obama:

BARACK OBAMA IS AN EXCELLENT PRESIDENT!

Obama is a racial-minority individual and does not like racism:

I know it may be hard to believe.

However, it is absolutely true that Ronald Wilson Reagan committed horrible, racist, hate crimes during his presidency.

A lot of people know about Reagan's infamy.

And a lot of people will know about Reagan's infamy--even until the end of human existence: they'll find out.

Numbers 32:23: "Be sure your sins will find you out."

Respectfully Submitted by Andrew Yu-Jen Wang, J.D. Candidate
B.S., With the Highest Level of Academic Honors at Graduation, 1996

This is a joke, right? Note to Pentagon, next time pay attention to the news over the last 30-40 year or so, the Taliban fought Soviet troops to a standstill for over a decade.

It's not a stretch to say folks in Afghanistan have become "resilient" over the last couple of thousand years or so. Inhospitable living conditions and being the crossroads for numerous countries to fight each other - and the Afghanis - will make a person resilient, definitely.

CASPIAN OIL CASPIAN OIL CASPIAN CASPIAN OIL CASPIAN OIL

Remember the TALIBAN were business partners until about 2000, when they went to Houston, Texas to UNOCAL headquarters as guests and many were trained in oil technologies . So they weren't too bad then to do business with, until they started blowing up religious statues and the treatment of women became PUBLIC . Then former cIA director's daughter stepped in as PR person to help clean up their image .
(look at guys on 9 -11 commission , several are involved in Afghan OIL pipeline , ie Richard Ben Veniste sued BRIDAS(from spain i believe ) to stop them from building their pipeline in Afghanistan .
Problem was the Taliban (and prudently correct) wanted to tap into small portion of oil(open line)that passed through their country, nah Unocal refused .
9-11 happened around a year later , then the invasion and several weeks later ...KARZAI (CIA op.) signed an OIL PIPELINE DEAL with Pakistan and Uzbekistan . BADABING , mission accomplished and the occupation for no reason other then to control the regions oil and other resources WILL continue , along with the deaths of thousands of Afghans , the building of U.S. controlled prisons, huge bases and for what ..a few hundred radicals riding around in the back of Toyota pick up trucks w/ ak 47s ...ya right .

The OCCUPATION WILL NEVER END , NOR WILL THE KILLING ..NEXT STOP NIGERIAN OIL AND NO DOUBT RADICALS THERE ARE BEING FUNDED BY SOME INTELLIGENCE AGENCY, TO GIVE REASON FOR INVASION AND OCCUPATION THERE .

Bush and Company didn't believe that this was a place that wouldn't give up. They ignored the history lessons of the Soviets and the British and others.

Bush is a disgrace. Impeach.

Breaking news from the British Journal of Nutsology.
It is now a proven scientific fact that being republican is proof positive of insanity says Dr Elmwood Futherthom.
All republicans should be treated, and some can recover.
However die hard bush supporters are beyond help and should be quarantined as soon as possible for the greater good of humanity; these people have lost all signs of being human and have become a danger to themselves and others. If republicans are spotted in your area they should be pointed out to local mental health professionals. The sooner the better. That is all.

This article details the strength of the Taliban in Pakistan's Northwesst Province, and the likelihood that they will take over a major city there, Peshawar.
http://iht.com/articles/2008/06/27/asia/peshawar.php

Bush's lack of diplomacy with Mushariff has just turned into more lack thereof with the new administration in Islamabad. When a joint intervention might have stalled the Taliban rise, Mushariff kept us out. Bush did not have the willingness or foresight to team with him and the Pakistani Army to get OBL, or the core of the Taliban. The US had not convinced the Pakistanis that terrorism was a real threat to them, that they could not ultimately continue to buy off the Taliban-leaning tribal chiefs.

So, is the next step that Pakistan goes hard core Islamist, and the Taliban has nuclear capability? Or do we now go to war with Pakistan, which is becoming a real nuclear threat, rather than Iran?

By the way, how is that mid-east strategy working out Mr Cheney/Bush?

The surge is working!

The terrorists & dead-enders are on the run, running so fast that they re-group and fight back!!

That's how desperate they are!!!

More attacks? More deaths? Clear signs of our success!

According to a new Pentagon report released today, “the Taliban has regrouped after its initial fall from power in Afghanistan. The new report offers a rather dim view of progress in the nearly 7-year-old war, declaring that the Taliban has ‘coalesced into a resilient insurgency’”

This is the same mistake authoritarians make every time. To them world conflict is like a game of Risk where if you eliminate enough of the right colored pieces you win.

Instead of understanding why poor and desperate people tend to gravitate to the extremists and fighting the battle by giving them better alternatives, they insist on playing the never ending game of attrition.

StratRat Says:

And the rest of the planet is waiting for us to do something about this criminal administration. I feel so sorry for those brave soldiers and their families. 5 years of grief, pain, and loss; All for nothing.

I am sure even the trolls would agree with us.

We can't get rid of one, because the other would pardon them. Then no one has enough courage to put both Bush and Cheney up for impeachment. The only way for us to do something is to vote for Obama and oust all the GOP incumbents as possible in November, so there is no obstructionists to a Democratic Executive and Legislative branches that can start to reverse the last eight nightmarish years.

Badger, you are so very right! In addition, the whole world was behind us for the days, weeks and months after 9/11.

bush p1ssed all of that good will away, and then a whole lot more, and with it went the lives of thousands of soldiers, hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, and TRILLIONS of dollars (especially if you include the $2 TRILLION that Rumsfeld admitted was missing at the pentagon on 9/10/01)

It will take years, if not decades, to repair the damage done by bush.

The whole world is now watching us again, and electing Obama will be a HUGE first step in the right direction.

Now look at us!

Do we remember when bush said that we'd "snatched defeat from the... er, um, we won't be defeated"? How about "bin Laden? I just don't think about him that much"?

Yes, this admin DID snatch defeat from the jaws of what appeared to be a clear victory. But there was just so much money to be made in Iraq...
