Fox News “has seen its once formidable advantage over CNN erode in this presidential election year, as both CNN and MSNBC have added viewers at far more dramatic rates.” The New York Times reports:
CNN has added 170,000 viewers a night, on average, when compared with the last presidential year, while Fox has shed about 90,000, according to Nielsen. (MSNBC, which added 181,000 viewers in that audience, much of it courtesy of gains by “Countdown With Keith Olbermann,” still lagged in third place, with 303,000.)
A Fox News spokeswoman, Dana Klinghoffer, refused “several requests” for comment about the channel’s ratings and strategy.
The end of Pravda.
June 29th, 2008 at 12:38 pmAs people find out the truth and that faux has been deliberatly lying…..finally a trend towards sanity.
June 29th, 2008 at 12:40 pmIt must be the lipgloss…
June 29th, 2008 at 12:41 pm/sarc
Fox News, the most trusted name in pro-Bush Republican propaganda.
-GSD
June 29th, 2008 at 12:44 pmI used to be a sucker for Fox News and a Bush supporter (no surprise) but then I realized it can’t be news when most of the coverage is opinion based. I always had it in the back of my mind that something was wrong with the channel, but like a good Bush loyalist…you put wishful thinking over reason.
Eventually I realized this country is falling apart, I can’t continue to support this corrupt Republican regime and it’s underlings such as Fox Noise and Reich-wing radio. It is propaganda, pure and simple.
June 29th, 2008 at 12:46 pmgitrdone, can you go over and talk to my dad…?
June 29th, 2008 at 12:48 pmIt is not surprising: If the talking heads at Fox”News” say it’s a sunny day, but when you look out the window it’s overcast or flat-out pouring, even the most die-hard kool-aid drinkers will begin to wonder.
And it doesn’t matter how much eye candy the producers put in front of the cameras (cleavage, short skirts, etc). Eventually, people will look for information somewhere else.
Which is not to say the other networks offer significantly more substantive information (Britney Spears’ meltdown, anyone?.)
June 29th, 2008 at 12:51 pmGregor Samsa Says:
Which is not to say the other networks offer significantly more substantive information (Britney Spears’ meltdown, anyone?.)
A Britney Meltdown? You missed the real issue. Was she wearing panties this time?
June 29th, 2008 at 12:57 pm/snark always on
I’m busy trying to talk to my dad…but you know older people… stubborn as hell, don’t want to change.
June 29th, 2008 at 1:00 pmZooey:
June 29th, 2008 at 1:03 pmHave you considered just reminding your pops how much he likes strong women?
Since Fox’s demographic consists primarily of viewers over seventy, perhaps it’s merely simple attrition, by age.
June 29th, 2008 at 1:05 pmWayne,
LOL… I guess that’s a fair-and-balanced “coverage” (win wink) type of question… ;-)
June 29th, 2008 at 1:06 pmA few years ago I was in a Firestone where they always had FOX on in the waiting room (I have a fleet of vehicles I have serviced there). I flat out told the manager I would not return if they kept showing FOX. Since then I have been back at least 20 times. Not once when I returned has FOX been on.
There are the little things you have to do to get people’s attention.
June 29th, 2008 at 1:08 pmwhat,
no trolls?

good luck

June 29th, 2008 at 1:10 pmHey whatever happened to mighty aphrodite?
June 29th, 2008 at 1:13 pmTake a look at http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com and get a first hand look at what the intention of the government is with respect to the information we receive. Over the last 15 years laws have been removed giving greater control of the air waves to less people, who if given leaders who have the same idoligy as a president, you have what you have today.
The movie takes into account Religion, War, Monitary System and Governmental control. It’s 2:02min…check time code lower right side of screen of video. If not 2:02 click refresh unill 2:02 appears. Please note, the media is not allowed to talk about this movie????? Ask yourself why??? and lets do something before it’s to late!!!!
June 29th, 2008 at 1:14 pmgitrdone,
Thanks anyway. I understand. :)
dbadass,
When did my dad start liking strong women…? ;)

dbadass is right to assume I am a strong woman. Not so sure about the dad…
June 29th, 2008 at 1:44 pm@gitrdone
To paraphrase the sage Mr. Roarke: Welcome! Welcome to Reality Island!
June 29th, 2008 at 1:47 pmWhich would not be happening but for the influence of the gop propaganda machine called fox news.
Anything intelligent to add?
June 29th, 2008 at 2:02 pmBut, faux supports the murder of our troops by Iraqi civilians defending their homeland.
June 29th, 2008 at 2:13 pmThe anti-Americanism spewing from Faux should be exposed. Faux is bad for America. Conservatism and neocons are bad for America.
June 29th, 2008 at 2:15 pmI don’t. I still am an American that recognizes wrong when I see it though….what’s your problem. Imagine if the left had full control of the media and all you ever heard was what the left wants you to hear…..would you still be so callous? I doubt it.
But we have come to understand that you are not interested in fairness or equality. Its all about who the big dog is with youse guys.
Soon regulatory agencies will strip these propaganda machines of their ability to control the flow of information to Americans. It should be illegal for a media outlet to label themselves as “News” organizations when they are really political agents that never show opposing views. That is not fair and balanced and it is not news. It is however, propaganda. So get ready for some big changes.
June 29th, 2008 at 2:21 pmProve it. When they happen to hit a few million viewers from time-to-time, that hardly represents any sort of majority in this country. Don’t let facts and reality ruin your hard-on for Faux. Faux is bad for America. Conservatism and neocons are bad for America. These are facts.
June 29th, 2008 at 2:26 pmThe network news destroy faux on a daily basis. The only “people” that watch and defend faux are the 19%ers. Faux has zero credibility among mainstream/real Americans.
June 29th, 2008 at 2:28 pmWow, “#1″ among 3 cable outlets. Big deal. Nothing really to brag about. It’s like Ford bragging to be number 1 among the big 3 automakers. Agagin, the network news destroy faux on a daily basis.
June 29th, 2008 at 2:30 pmReich-wing GOPigs care more about defending faux than bringing our troops home safely.
June 29th, 2008 at 2:30 pmtripple jock itch, I’m done playing tiddlywinks with you. You spout bs as if it were gospel and sit on your high horse acting as if you have the inside track. Well if you’re so damned smart then how did we get in this mess? Get out of my yard.
June 29th, 2008 at 2:32 pmReich-wingers have the worst president in the history of the country….but, Faux is number 1, Faux is number 1, Faux is number 1!!!!!! LOL.
June 29th, 2008 at 2:33 pmI guess there haven’t been any missing blonds for Fox to cover lately. Maybe they will have Bill O’Reilly kidnap a pretty young blond, so Fox News can have a 24/7 story about her “disappearance”.
June 29th, 2008 at 2:44 pmAnd you’re not coherent, so?
June 29th, 2008 at 2:52 pmI’d respond to TK’s statements, but it’s pointless. His mind is already made up and nothing’s going to change it.
Just a word of advice - those rose-colored glasses you’re wearing come with a high price.
June 29th, 2008 at 2:53 pmYou nazi’s and romans want to run us in with the lions in an unfair competition for expressing ideas. You love to talk about beating them in the arena as long as you are standing safely on the sidelines. You are bullies who have destroyed our democracy….you should be proud.
America is founded on equality, remember.
Oh, please give us an example of a good idea that your side has presented that didn’t cause people to suffer and die….please, just one.
June 29th, 2008 at 2:57 pmFred Says:
Oh, please give us an example of a good idea that your side has presented that didn’t cause people to suffer and die….please, just one.
June 29th, 2008 at 2:57 pm
First, the troll would have to care…
June 29th, 2008 at 3:07 pmThey prefer Fox News because they know who’s side Fox News is on.
~TrippleKick
Oh, but we all know what side Fox”News” is on: President Bush’s side, that’s who, the rest of the world be damned.
It doesn’t matter the state of the economy, the blunder of historical proportions that Iraq is, that people are dying in a war of choice, that jobs are not being created… none of that matters as long as they can sing the praises to their Dear (mis)Leader, and they can get halfwits (like you) buy the alternate reality they sell.
June 29th, 2008 at 3:08 pmWhat DribbleDick neglected to say about the soldiers watching Fox overseas is that it is only because they don’t have the option of changing the channel, either because of orders from higher up or the removal of other networks from their system.
But what else should we expect from rightwing republiscums who lie, and then lie about lying. What fools they are!
June 29th, 2008 at 3:10 pmYou closet stalinist are all the same, if you can’t beat them in the arena of ideas, then just simply control them.
That’s a good depiction of the rubberstamps. They couldn’t see the country change, and decide to bring the troops home, because it interfered with their agenda, so they shut down debate, with “unamerican” slurs, and legislative posturing.
Remember Sensenbrenner, cutting off the mikes, and turning out the lights during a committee investigation? That’s the archetypical republican response to honest debate: shut it down at all costs.
June 29th, 2008 at 3:10 pmJune 29th, 2008 at 3:38 pm
Because faux covers the war less than any other cable outlet. Fact. Faux refuses to cover and expose the complete and utter failure of this war. Fact.
June 29th, 2008 at 3:40 pmIt is about time the people are now realizing that FOX is nothing more than a GOP and White House owned and operated station. There to spit out the presidents propagnga.
June 29th, 2008 at 3:40 pmClearly you know nothing about the military. Where is your DD214? I have mine. Want to compare?
Face it, you’re a 19%er, you are marginalized, your president is a failure, the reich-wing is minority, and the GOPigs will be a permanent minority for another 40 years. But, Faux is number 1, Faux is number 1, Faux is number 1!!!!!! LOL.
June 29th, 2008 at 3:42 pmAs a typical reich-winger, you “think” you speak for others. How telling. You never served a day in your life….it’s obvious.
Ever notice that only far, far reich-wingers would be caught dead defending faux? Again, how telling.
June 29th, 2008 at 3:44 pmDoes anyone here read globalresearch.ca?
June 29th, 2008 at 3:47 pmThere was an article up there about the corruption in the white house and the leadership of this country, esp the way Haliburton and its subs had bilked the taxpayers out of billions but when the gov found out about it they forced it down. Did any one print that article out. It was about some evidence that had been given to sen Waxmen that he did nothing about.
the article ran on 6/21/2008
June 29th, 2008 at 3:49 pmLike when faux turns off the mics of guests, or tells guests to shut-up, or doesn’t let a guest finish with a point and interrupts them and talks over them. You = hypocrite.
June 29th, 2008 at 3:52 pmTrippleKick.
June 29th, 2008 at 3:54 pmAs you put it, the troops “continuously play Fox News Channel in their mess halls and break rooms.”
OK. But what’s your point?
Do you want us to take that to mean that all of our troops agree with you? Or are you just hiding behind them? Please don’t presume to speak for the troops. Don’t presume to speak for anyone but yourself.
Do you honestly think that opinions of the men and women of our armed forces can be summed up by what they watch in the mess hall. Very condescending, dude.
I don’t speak for the troops because I wouldn’t presume to, and I don’t think they don’t need some poster talking about them like they were a Nielsen ratings family.
Make up your mind. You claim “Americans are simply choosing where they want to get their news”, and it widely known fact that network news destroys the ratings of faux. So, it is clear that Americans choose NBC, ABC, and CBS to get their news rather than faux.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:01 pmWow, project much?
June 29th, 2008 at 4:03 pmYou mean war is happy, fun, joy-joy, romantic experience? Or is it the death of U.S troops that you reich-winger think is “good”?
June 29th, 2008 at 4:05 pmWell said! I hate Faux, because Faux hates America. Finally, the truth from a reich-winger.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:06 pmWhat is success in Iraq? herr dubyah wanted this war to disarm Saddam of his the so-called “WMD”. There were none. Fact. The mission of this war is failure by default. Fact.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:07 pmFaux loves the idea of “America”, but they clearly hate Americans.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:09 pmbarfly Says:
Since Fox’s demographic consists primarily of viewers over seventy, perhaps it’s merely simple attrition, by age.
I think even much of that ‘measured demographics’ is because many of the rest homes and retirement villages have Faux hardwired and therefore get the viewer count.
Just like in the WH.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:20 pmThe authors of the left-wing blogs hate Fox because they hate America and don’t want the world to know that the Iraqi people, for the most part (not all of them) actually like the American Military and are appreciative of what they are doing for them.
Not judging by polls taken of Iraqis. And the tired “hate America” schtick is cliche.’ Are you still living in 2005? If so, you’ll find the country no longer supports your position. But feel free to keep using the “hates America” meme. It paints you as a political anachonism.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:20 pmYou’re the one that said, “The authors of the left-wing blogs hate Fox because they hate America”. Perhaps it’s you that needs to quit home schooling and obtain a real education. Nonetheless, thanks for reaffirming that Faux hates America and that’s the reason why left-wing blogs hate Faux.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:21 pmVile GOPigs like johnsom is the reason why America can’t stand the reich-wing and is the reason why GOPigs will be a permanent minority. johnsom is the epitome of the far, far reich-wing 19%ers.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:23 pmjohnsom Says:
The best way to get the truth is to talk to the members of the military itself. That’s what I do, and that’s what Fox does.
Hardly.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:23 pmrepublican = insanity!
June 29th, 2008 at 4:24 pmPerhaps johnsom would care to make a bet: I’ll bet you a hundred, that this time next year the military reverses policy, and allows other networks to broadcast to the troops.
How about it?
June 29th, 2008 at 4:26 pmSO, johnsom, you are in Iraq now, fighting your favorite war? Tell us how that’s working out for you?
June 29th, 2008 at 4:26 pmFox Clown Network is losing its steam over the cable network. Bummer. I’m all broken up in tears over that. ;-)
Well, it was wonderful ride of emptying the viewers of crapola spin and being on the shirt tail of the Sith Lord Administration. But, folks are just plain worn out of the Fox News spin. The Clown network will lose its steam for good when the bubble boy is gone from office and if Obama win the Presidency. Then, I can offer BillO to mow my lawn if he can’t find employment.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:27 pmThe majority of America opposes the war in Iraq and herr dubyah. You reich-wingers are on the wrong side of yet another issue.
Try to keep up.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:27 pmLOL. Hi kettle! You f**king twit.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:28 pmYou are a real anti-America. A veritable Nazi. And my, you are quite civil.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:29 pmbarfly, you have to read what I said, carefully. I realize many Americans who are on the left don’t hate America, they merely believe in the wrong things.
The authors of the left-wing blogs hate Fox because they hate America and don’t want the world to know that the Iraqi people, for the most part (not all of them) actually like the American Military and are appreciative of what they are doing for them.
The meaning seems ambiguous at best. Define “authors of leftwing blogs,” ’cause that definition could also cover those authoring posts on blogs.
And you can 86 the attitude.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:30 pmThe vile GOPigs only support a war as long as their hands do not get dirty and as long as they can keep their tax cuts for the wealthy.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:31 pmjohnsom Says:
Why Dr. Hussein Matt, you must be a real Cosmopolitan. A veritable gentleman. And my, you are quite civil.
And you, my good fellow, are a hypocrite.
You’re the one who started with the “hates america” crap, and you think you deserve to be treated in a civil fashion?
Please.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:32 pmjohnsom is moments away from breaking out some Clinton and “they hate us for our freedoms” talking points.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:32 pmI’d respond to JMom’s statements, but it’s pointless. His/her mind is already made up and nothing’s going to change it. They got their talking points from Rush and Billo, never questioning why anybody in this country would hate it as these pundits so blithefully claim. Go ahead - I bet you can’t answer why. What’s the motive?
And for the record I don’t believe Bush and his group of cronies hate America - it’s more like they see it as something to use and abuse and suck dry. That is what we’re fighting against. Perhaps if you used your brain to do more than parrot the talking points from your talk radio stations you’d get mad enough to protect this country too.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:33 pmLike a typical reich-winger, you are too much of coward to wear the uniform, but you have no problem hiding behind it. Wimp.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:34 pmNo, I just happen to live near a Military Base. Right near.
Well, I’ve got a grandson who’s a forward artillery spotter in Afghanistan, as a member of the Big Red One, and he tells a different tale.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:34 pmIt is a typical reich-winger….always playing the victim.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:35 pmjohnsom Says:

SO, johnsom, you are in Iraq now, fighting your favorite war? Tell us how that’s working out for you?
No, I just happen to live near a Military Base. Right near.
Two questions for you:
Tell us why you don’t enlist and fight your war?
Why did we have so many ex-military running for office in ‘o6 as ANTI-war candidates?
June 29th, 2008 at 4:35 pmDitto. My former college roommate just got back from an 18 month deployment in Iraq and one of my students just got back from a 12 month deployment. Plus, I still keep in touch with about a dozen Marines and Sailors that I use to serve with.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:37 pmThe belief that our Military want to stay in Iraq is like saying our firemen prefer to stay in burning buildings.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:38 pmSince your premise has no merit, there can be no bet.
Right back at ya,’ Mr. Lives Near A Military Base. Chances are, you’re a bartender, who works in an off-base bar; am I right?
June 29th, 2008 at 4:38 pmBetween the House and Senate, more Democrats are veterans than Reich-wingers.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:39 pmPlus, I still keep in touch with about a dozen Marines and Sailors that I use to serve with.
But, you don’t live next to a military base, so your comments are uninformed, sadly.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:40 pmI’ll guess that it is a bus boy/girl at the local pizza hut.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:40 pmDamn, damn, damn. But, I do live about a mile away from George H. dubyah Bush, so my comments by him and his family should be taken seriously.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:42 pmWho said “they wanted to stay in Iraq”?
Isn’t that what wingnuts have been saying? That it’s necessary to stay, and finish the mission? Do try harder to keep up, old fellow.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:42 pmOr for clarity I should say, don’t wingnuts claim that the military’s enlisted folk overwhelmingly support staying to finish the mission? Where’s the beef, except for a few unproven assertions?
June 29th, 2008 at 4:46 pmExactly. Anti-American reich-wingers, like yourself, do not know the difference. Some troops still may believe in the mission, because they are trained to do so. However, the vast majority of Americans and Troops do not want to stay in Iraq.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:47 pmThere’s a big difference between “wanting to stay” and “doing some good and believing in their mission”.
Please explain the difference, in detail.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:47 pmWhat is that mission? Didn’t Bush declare the mission was over years ago? What are they there for? The Iraqis want them to leave. We want them back home. The only reason Bush and McCain won’t let them come home is because it would mean admitting that this whole operation was a failure.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:49 pmbarfly Says:
Since your premise has no merit, there can be no bet.
Right back at ya,’ Mr. Lives Near A Military Base. Chances are, you’re a bartender, who works in an off-base bar; am I right?
Johnsom probably does provide services to the troops. A lot of prostitutes live near military bases, ask John McSame about that. He’s lived at a lot of bases.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:50 pmWhy else would they “want to stay,” except to complete their mission?
The great weather? The excellent shopping?
June 29th, 2008 at 4:50 pmjohnsom Says:
Two questions for you:
Tell us why you don’t enlist and fight your war?
…..?
I know I’m going to Heaven because I spent my time in Hell……Viet Nam 71-73. Drafted into the infantry.
So, what’s your story?
Vietnam 69-70.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:50 pmAnd that was an unnecessary clusterfu(k, too, just like the illegal Irag invasion and occupation.
Too bad your time in ‘nam didn’t wake you up. It sure did me!
June 29th, 2008 at 4:53 pmJune 29th, 2008 at 4:51 pm
Right…Who didn’t see that one coming?
June 29th, 2008 at 4:54 pmIt’s just loopy to assert “There’s a big difference between “wanting to stay” and “doing some good and believing in their mission”, when one leads to the other. “Believing in the mission” would naturally lead one to “want to stay.” Except there’s little evidence to show that even a simple majority of soldiers in country actually supports the mission, so much as wants to survive, and wants his/her buddies to survive, as well.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:56 pmI got your number.
Dismissed, private.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:58 pmJohnsom says:
In the financial world they’re called “FUDSTERS”, and their purpose was to control the flow of information, and make it impossible for the truth to compete.
I got your number.
That is a great example of projection: Who TF is using FUD here? McCain, Dubya, Darth and their official mouthpiece: Faux. They play the fear card at every turn. Are you a NeoCon, too?
How sad your world must be.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:58 pmGosh, did my comment about Johnsom at 4:50 make him leave at 4:51? If that is the case I’m sorry…. for not posting at 4:03 after his post at 4:02.
June 29th, 2008 at 4:59 pmWhat did you think, I was going to play in your circle jerk all day long?
And he’ got to clean the spunk off before heading for the bar.
Funny how he jumps into the conversation with a “hates America” lead, and then whines about the lack of civil discourse.
What a putz.
June 29th, 2008 at 5:00 pmSome do that, but not most. So, meanwhile they’d appreciate a little credit for what they are doing.
Like McCain’s aversion to Webb’s GI amendment? How much appreciation did he show them?
June 29th, 2008 at 5:04 pmJohnsom,
But they are stop-lossed in, multiple tours, and all for an unnecessary and illegal war. They do have a right to distrust the BushCo Cabal. At least 80% of the rest of this country, and most of the world do, so they have a LOT of company!
June 29th, 2008 at 5:05 pmSimple question. What is the mission?
June 29th, 2008 at 5:07 pmIf this was an all drafted military, I would agree with you, but you have to remember that these guys/gals enlisted.
Not for multiple deployments, spending more time in-country than with their families in the states. Your rhetoric exposes the paucity of your position. First, your assertion that they enlisted so they knew the risks, show a callous disregard for individual circumstance; and then you whine about showing them more respect.
Hypocrite.
June 29th, 2008 at 5:08 pmWe all honor what they do, we just don’t honor the scumbags that are keeping them there, creating more casualties and creating more terrorists.
June 29th, 2008 at 5:10 pmJohnsom said he was leaving but he’s still here? Does that make him a liar? Well, that and the fact that he is a republiscum, and we all know how rebubliscums lie, always.
June 29th, 2008 at 5:15 pmShorter johnsom:
I have no plan, except to hope the still-warring factions see the light, put down their arms, and sing the muslim version of kumbaya.
June 29th, 2008 at 5:16 pm70% of the Iraqi’s already said they want us gone! What do we need, a 100%
June 29th, 2008 at 5:16 pmStop with the sweeping generalizations, JM, you’ll hurt yourself.

Don’t let the Lord hear you talking like that, Auggie. You could get demoted to cherub.
June 29th, 2008 at 5:19 pmYou REALLY believe we have done the Iraqi people a service and are still doing it? Which side of this multi-faceted civil/religious war should we take?
How much Kool-aid have you beend drinking, anyway?
June 29th, 2008 at 5:20 pmJonsom is living his whole life in the FUD factor. Gotts suck, and will get better when he sees the light in January.
June 29th, 2008 at 5:21 pmHuh? I thought my answer was well stated.
Except you left out how political accomodation might be achieved.
Y’know, little stuff like that…
June 29th, 2008 at 5:22 pmbarfly Says:
Don’t let the Lord hear you talking like that, Auggie. You could get demoted to cherub.
Promise? Sometimes my duties as Patron Saint of Breweries wears me down, I could use a rest and a shot of Jack Black.
June 29th, 2008 at 5:22 pmYes, by all means run away, little one. Next time, come back better prepared…

In heaven there is no beer (or so I’ve been told), but does that also go for the hard stuff? Just in case I die and accidently wind up there, it would be nice to know.
June 29th, 2008 at 5:27 pmGee. Ya’ll think that the constant lies, fear, and smears are growing old with people who want our government to work for our best interests?
June 29th, 2008 at 5:28 pmthey’re all corporate owned - CNN is just more subtle than Fox - pay attention CNN lies ALL the time…
June 29th, 2008 at 5:52 pmDistraction - distortion - disinformation -deception, that’s all they offer
johnsom said: As a corrolary to that, I would say we should stay there and re- build as long as they want us to. If they tell us to get the hell out, then we should.
I read lots about the war, and I have never seen a poll where less than 70% of the Iraqi people want us out. Even the parliament has a majority that wants us out. Show me any legitmate group, other than Maliki and his money grubbers who does not want us out. So, lets get out.
June 29th, 2008 at 5:55 pmbaarfly: Its paradise, how in hell could there not be beer and whisky???
June 29th, 2008 at 5:56 pmYou are Joking right? FOX NEWS has set records this year. THE ONLY Reason CNN has gained any steam is because the Dem Primary went so long and because Dems were to SCARED to debate on FOX and Get some tough questions from Brit Hume. They preferred the ” Diamonds or Pearls” CNN questions.
Want to see Liberals Jeff Towbin and Wolf Blitzer and Roland Martin agree on everything watch CNN. If you want to see a REAL DEBATE between Liberal Guests and Conservative Hosts Watch FOX.

You are too funny.
Uhhh, This is a satire, right?
June 29th, 2008 at 6:01 pmI used to watch CNN all the time. Then one night I saw O’Reilly and Al Sharpton debate. After a while I realized the REAL Debate was on FOX while CNN was a Propaganda Station of ONE SIDED VIEWS.
June 29th, 2008 at 6:05 pmThe Dem debates were SUCH A JOKE Saturday Night Live did 3 Weeks of attacks on their fairness
June 29th, 2008 at 6:06 pmCNN is almost as big a joke as Faux, where you have clowns like Vannity, billo (shut off the mic if anyone disagrees with him), Malkin and Ingraham, Coultergeist, rover, the neocon bunch; kristol-meth, brooks, krautheimer.
Tell me these are ‘fair and balanced’?
And CNN has blitzer, another neocon and then there is their great KKK-Nazi, glenn beck.
You are a hoot, though, I will give you that. Thanks for the laughs today.
June 29th, 2008 at 6:11 pmCNN? The network that employs fellow of the Heritage Foundation, as a pundit?
That CNN?
June 29th, 2008 at 6:16 pmR.I.P. Fox News: Couldn’t happen to a more deserving gang of propagandists in my opinion. That’s what basing your reporting on lies and propaganda will do; once you’re “outed”, you’re irrelevant. Soon they will be gone totally.
June 29th, 2008 at 6:21 pmbarfly,
And don’t forget that skank, Screechy Nancy Grace, the ‘There’re all guilty til I say otherwise’.
June 29th, 2008 at 6:22 pmlooks like dennis the menace couldn’t handle the heat.
June 29th, 2008 at 6:24 pmFox will no doubt tweak their marketing strategy, once the elections are over. With a near-total freeze-out of Fox by dems, they’ll either sharpen the rhetoric, or suddenly become every democrats’ friend, with positive spin to appeal to a new demographic. All the old firebreathers will have to go if that’s the case, to demonstrate a new attitude.
June 29th, 2008 at 6:29 pmBarfly,
If that is the case, where will all those Repugs that lose their seats find work? Faux has done such a great job of providing a bunch of them now with a chance to be paid to be irrelevant.

The problem for Fox, is that advertisers will be jumping ship, if the trend continues. They can’t keep playing the Paul Harvey routine, of mixing human interest stories with product endorsements. Viewers will come to negatively associate their products with news presentations, which, knowing Fox and their feelings for Democrats, will be overwhelmingly negative. Competitors will gain market share, and Fox will become a comedic punchline, again. The Fox gravy train might run out of advertisors to stoke the engine, and these poor guys might find themselves walking the tracks.

CO(KSU(KING LAIR!!! WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE A$$H0LE???
GOODBYE FOR GOOD!! AND THE GOOD OF ALL!!!
June 29th, 2008 at 6:53 pmThe “new” troll misses the point. (No surprise there.) Our national nightmare is coming to an end. The lies are being exposed and the liars will soon be kicked into obscurity. The venue is irrelevant.
June 29th, 2008 at 6:53 pmFu(ksus nOoze is an unregistered illegal 527 group supporting the Fascist, Corporate, RePugniScum Criminal Mob!!!!!!!!
If there is justice they need to taste it with gusto!!! Prosecute the entire company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
June 29th, 2008 at 7:02 pmYou REALLY think Faux is ‘fair and balanced’? How many Dems are on their payroll? (And Colmes doesn’t count. He checked his sack at the studio door when he agreed to roll under for hanitee-hee).
But go for it, keep watching your comfortable teddy-bear channel, with the ever tightening circle of supporters. BTW, have you ever watched that Faux Morning show? Are there any more Stoo-pid people on tv than that group of losers.
I get my news from BBC, PBS, and Jon Stewart, who has more credibility than most others, and it is a COMEDY show!

Go JohnSomeOneElse PIG!!!
June 29th, 2008 at 7:11 pmHey Johnsom,
Refute this statement if you will: AIPAC is about as NeoCon and Zionist as it gets. SO, how do you argue the statement about him being a NeoCon? DO your research or crawl back under the porch. K?
June 29th, 2008 at 7:13 pmI’m with you upside. In fact, I refuse to subscribe to cable because I refuse to support corporate media. There’s no effing way in Hell I’ll pay anyone to lie.

His courage to post his lies probably comes from two lines… neatly seperated on a mirror with a razor blade.
June 29th, 2008 at 7:15 pmWe need some better trolls; this isn’t even any fun any more. All the challenge has left when we get nothing but the Junior Varsity here.
June 29th, 2008 at 7:15 pmCan’t let this little lie pass unhindered. It’s called the fairness doctrine. When the republicans repealed it then the corporate media was free to put whoever they wanted on the air…..thus….only republicans. It has nothing to do with clocks or the choice of the people watching.
Sorry you just don’t seem to understand how the big wide world works.

Did you ever stop to think that those more intelligent people that can actually go to the web or to nontraditional sources for news, actually does? That may explain why the TOTAL numbers of tv news audience has been steradily declining?
And why Obams has been so successful in fundraising on the ‘internets’ and Mc Depends admitted he can’t even use a computer?
All very important bits of info, don’t ya think?

Absolutely.
Most of the rightwinger I know are almost DISDAINFUL of computers and the POWER of INFORMATION that can be accessed.
Dumbing Down ACCOMPLISHED!
June 29th, 2008 at 8:08 pmHas johnsom gone out to the garden to eat a worm…?
johnsom…?
June 29th, 2008 at 8:08 pmReturn to sanity?
I’m not so sure. Aren’t these people just fair weather Fox friends who showed no judgment in watching Fox –for years– to begin with? No, its not sanity. Just feckless, unprincipled posers who will side with those on the ‘winning’ side regardless.
June 29th, 2008 at 8:38 pmWhy would anyone fool with johnsom when Dennis D is souch a more obvious target?
June 29th, 2008 at 9:26 pmHeck, before Fox came around, we used to call CNN the Communist News Network. Then when Clinton came around, it was the Clinton News Network. Talk about propaganda, ever listen to Christiane Amanpour? Man that station used to ooze with news that portrayed America in the worst light possible.
And Blitzer made his bones on the Clinton scandal, publicizing every salacious tidbit the “elves” leaked. You can’t credibly argue that CNN was actively pro-Clinton, given the frequency with which they covered every lie, including the Vince Foster right-wing fantasies.
June 29th, 2008 at 9:59 pmFox is bound to lose viewers, but not soon enough. There will always be idiots that think it is journalism. And as long as the corporate media does such a stinking job, it really does not make a difference.
In case anyone has not been following the media coverage of the war, CBS gives it three or four minutes a week. And the other ABC and NBC don’t even give it that. A war that is costing thousands of lives in Iraq both citizens and our military, not to mention over two million displaced persons not to mention the hundreds of millions of dollars etc. And the media cannot be bothered to cover it.
And look out. Iran is next. As reprehensible as the Fox network is, it is not much worse then the main media.
We have no free objective press. The US used to be rated number one in the world. Now it is rated #44th in the world and falling. The Netherlands is now number one. And as long as people don’t demand more, they won’t get it.
The news in the main media has gone from a separate department to the ENTERTAINMENT SECTION. And it’s not all that entertaining either. We deserve what we have.
How often do any of you write your major broadcasters and demand decent coverage? When was the last time any of you contacted your local television and asked for more?
Fortunately, I don’t get my news from this country. I get it from overseas to know what is going on. Other then a few random sources like the McClatchy newspapers, or pbs, or sometimes the Christian Science Monitor, I get mine from BBC or the scandinavian countries. Not here. Never again here.

With all due respect, I started working in the semiconductor industry (you know, that material that is at the heart of the PC) BEFORE the Windows based PC even existed. So, I suspect this right winger might know just a tad bit more about it than most other folks.
In the amoral words of Darth Cheney: SO!!!
