Black not traveling with McCain to Colombia.»

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) is traveling to Colombia today, but he won’t be accompanied by one of his top aides. Charlie Black, who has extensive lobbying ties to Colombia, isn’t traveling with McCain this week. Asked yesterday about Black’s absence, McCain claimed he was just rotating his aides:

“I have Mark Salter along,” McCain said, pointing to senior aide Mark Salter. “These guys generally rotate. It’s too much to take in large doses. It’s just rotation.”

Black has been a controversial figure on the McCain campaign due to his lobbying background. Recently, he caused an uproar when he suggested that McCain would gain “a big advantage” politically from a terrorist attack against America.

  6. Marie Says:

Yeah, it would be all too obvious if Black traveled with McCain, as he goes on his tour of the country where Black has strong lobbying ties.
These guys who claim to be all so patriotic are all too willing to do business with countries whose leaders are corrupt, and where American companies can set up offices to avoid paying US taxes.

If we had a functioning media instead of a pack of suckling pigs, the public would know more of these details. As it is, these stories barely hit the conscious level of the public.

  7. Aanya Says:

The press televised McCain’s departure, and don’t worry guys, McCain’s two nannys were right next to him. No worry that McCain will mis speak about anything when Lieberman and Graham are right there! I wonder which of the two wipes his rosey red ass?

  8. Marie Says:

correction if you don’t mind, Aanya: “sagging, wrinkled, flat, shitty white ass.”

….despite the intolerable poverty and hopelessness created in central and south America by 60 years of our policies in what Nixon referred to as the back yard nobody gives a damn about about , Mc shame will offer the Colombian military further military aid to combat evil in the Americas…..
a coke money debt in central America ….
to FARC or al Qaeda… perhaps democracy abroad.
    …Hugo Chavez …….
    needs to be kidnapped …
    AGAIN …. !!!!!!!!!!
    .
Hey anybody heard if Manuel Noriega still remembers being the highest paid CIA employee in history of the agency before we invaded the sovereign nation of Panama and arrested it’s president for moving our cocaine during Herb Bush’s war on drugs , where probable cause became the standard for invading the privacy of the American citizenry rather than a warrant?
Got to save little Johnny and Suzie from all that heroin and cocaine the CIA was importing into the US thru the backdoor in order to fund illicit covert operations such as the destabilization of governments and the training of death squads denied to the Ray..gun administration by our elected representatives thru the democratic process.
The democratically elected President Aristede’s statement on the coup in Haiti was that the US had him kidnapped ,held at the airport against his will and forcibly flown out of his country …. while Georgie Bush invaded a country uninvolved in 911 and propagandized about democracy …
    Mc Shame !

  15. freeman Says:

The US has bombed Guatemala , months before the Cuban revolution.
The US has created death squads , taught toturers to torture ,co ordinated the capture and extradition of left leaning dissidents all over south AMerica to these same torturers ( operation condor )and generally screwed the poor and indigenous peoples inorder that multi national corporations doing business there would be insured acsess cheap to these same peoples natural resources and labor .
The US has supported brutal dictatorships and overthrown democracies all over Central and South America over the last 60 years and continues these disasterous policies as Venezuala , Bolivia and the support of Columbian military ,amply illustrate.
The ease which the American people live today and over the last many years is directly related to the poverty of central and south america’s poor and the hardships of it’s millions today , this very moment.
