They still, whether innocent or guilty, do not have their freedom, contact with their familes (spouses, children, extended families), friends, or the homeland.

The JAG officer who had to deal with the Red Cross would have, of necessity, been shielded from any information regarding actual detainee treatment, in addition to even knowing how many detainees were at the facility. I wonder if Ms. Rotunda is aware that many of her colleagues and superiors have loudly condemned how detainees are treated. Is she aware that the SCOTUS just made a major ruling AGAINST our treatment of prisoners? Is she aware that the International Red Cross has condemned our actions? Is she aware that she is promoting the abandonment of one of the oldest, and most widespread, human rights in history?
