They will need armed guards, motion detectors, dogs, and searchlights as protection from the thousands of citizens who will do whatever they can to deface that structure and who it represents.
University regents and alumni might not be happy about that.

Is that supposed to be Bush in bronze? I think I saw that face in a futuristic science fiction movie.

This is the most frightening and disheartening idea imaginable to me right now. Just when these lying, murdering thieves ought to be sent to the gulag for their crimes against humanity and their every law, policy, war, and Supreme Court appointment un-done, they are hiring apologists to create good press and perpetuate their larcenous mismanagement of the nation’s wealth and trust.

SMU had to have agreed to housing the library. The President does not have the power to take land away from a private university. So, since they have agreed and apparently aren’t going to un-agree, they deserve what they get by housing this library.
