I live in Sacramento now, but last time I visited SF, the whole place pretty much reminded me of a treatment plant. Garbage, filth everywhere, especially at high profile places. When I was a kid, San Francisco was magical. Now it’s the punch line to any number of jokes.
Name your treatment plant anything you want. My strong sense is that the world isn’t paying that much attention anymore.

I’m a third generation native San Francisan in exile in the Washington, DC area for the past 20 years. But I used to live out in the Sunset District in San Francisco, not far from this sewage plant. If I were still living out there I’d vote against this measure, because the last thing in the world I’d want would be to have his name out there, on a sign, for decades to come. I work very near the US Capitol and I’m looking forward to going outside on January 20 to watch the helicopter take off, bearing Bush away from Washington, away from the White House, and back to his ranch forever. Just go, please, just go, and let us never hear from or about you again.

I used to live near that sewage plant. From the way it smells some days, and turns the ocean foam along Ocean Beach a sickly shade of turd brown, I think the Bush name is very fitting…

I’m sure Tracy never lived in San Francisco, one of the most beautiful places on earth. Thank heavens for Gavin Newsom, he’s been really helpful to the gay community there. As for the treatment plant, I don’t think I EVER want to see the words George W. Bush applied to anything. Let’s make him a non-person – erase him Soviet style, I’m with the peeps that say a sewage plant actually does things that are GOOD for the community, why muck it up with the name of someone who can’t do ANYTHING right?
