Typical O’lielly cause celebre since his target audience is the 80 plus set. His grandma viewers dried up years ago thus, they don’t care and his ocotogenarian grandpas see themselves as 20 year old casanovas chasing granny around in his walker all fueled up on viagra.

Strange; just last night I was talking to my wife about her birth control and its importance to her health, and not just our family planning.

She said her doctor told her taking the Pill is helping with the onset of perio-menopausal symptoms. In other words, this particular birth control and its endocrinology most definitely has health advantages besides just controlling birth.

Republicans are full of shiite, as usual, and oh-so-anxious to control the rest of us so the Baby Jesus doesn't come down with a dose of the vapors. And Bill O'Reilly pays, all right. That's the only way that idjit would EVER get laid.

"Unfortunately I have to point out that I should not have to pay for birth control because a woman wants to have sex. It’s not a requirement for their lives to continue. Same for Viagra for men."

Same could be said for prenatal coverage. Having kids is a choice. And it's not something that's going to harm your health or kill you if you don't get to do it. So why should my insurance rates be higher for someone to birth children?

Fact is: pregnancy is a medical condition. It comes with a host of nastiness that gets glossed over in favor of "Oh, you're having a little bundle of joy." The very act of carrying another human being to term can cause:

    * exhaustion (weariness common from first weeks)
    * altered appetite and senses of taste and smell
    * nausea and vomiting (50% of women, first trimester)
    * heartburn and indigestion
    * constipation
    * weight gain
    * dizziness and light-headedness
    * bloating, swelling, fluid retention
    * hemmorhoids
    * abdominal cramps
    * yeast infections
    * congested, bloody nose
    * acne and mild skin disorders
    * skin discoloration (chloasma, face and abdomen)
    * mild to severe backache and strain
    * increased headaches
    * difficulty sleeping, and discomfort while sleeping
    * increased urination and incontinence
    * bleeding gums
    * pica
    * breast pain and discharge
    * swelling of joints, leg cramps, joint pain
    * difficulty sitting, standing in later pregnancy
    * inability to take regular medications
    * shortness of breath
    * higher blood pressure
    * hair loss
    * tendency to anemia
    * curtailment of ability to participate in some sports and activities
    * infection including from serious and potentially fatal disease
      (pregnant women are immune suppressed compared with non-pregnant women, and
      are more susceptible to fungal and certain other diseases)
    * extreme pain on delivery
    * hormonal mood changes, including normal post-partum depression
    * continued post-partum exhaustion and recovery period (exacerbated if a c-section -- major surgery -- is required, sometimes taking up to a full year to fully recover)
    * stretch marks (worse in younger women)
    * loose skin
    * permanent weight gain or redistribution
    * abdominal and vaginal muscle weakness
    * pelvic floor disorder (occurring in as many as 35% of middle-aged former child-bearers and 50% of elderly former child-bearers, associated with urinary and rectal incontinence, discomfort and reduced quality of life)
    * changes to breasts
    * varicose veins
    * scarring from episiotomy or c-section
    * other permanent aesthetic changes to the body (all of these are downplayed by women, because the culture values youth and beauty)
    * increased proclivity for hemmorhoids
    * loss of dental and bone calcium (cavities and osteoporosis)

And those are the *normal* things that go along with pregnancy.

A woman should not have to fight with the government, politicians, religious pundits, insurance companies or people who think "they just want to have consequence free sex" in order to have access to a medication that does, in fact, keep or improve the quality of her life by preventing a "natural" occurrence.

In watching not just the Viagra commercials, but the Cialis and the Levitra ones as well...they all share three themes:

1. The obvious...old guys can't seem to get it up and all the site gags of accidental discharge, excitement etc.

2. The old guys are usually married to really attractive women, so one wonders what killed the romance in the first place?

3. The guys' variations on "interesting" sexual activities are so freakin' BORING and laugh out loud funny, that I believe the people who wrote these commercials eventually use the products after the fact, haven't gotten much ever and/or use the tried and true cliches for general production.

These commercials make me feel that if I ever get to the point in my male life where I need to pop a pill to get a hormonal thrill, that my life has reached it's end in some regards and maybe I need to accept that if I want to feel like I'm a 22 year old again, I'll do so in the next life...if that's what to come.

Okay, the flat statement was retarded. That's totally obvious. Medical uses for BC go waaaaaaaay beyond just preventing pregnancy.

Unfortunately I have to point out that I should not have to pay for birth control because a woman wants to have sex. It's not a requirement for their lives to continue. Same for Viagra for men. Just because either wants to have sex, doesn't mean my insurance should be higher.

Can you imagine, in a former life Bill O'Reilly was a school teacher? Look, this man is so ignorant so far off the mark, that it would be funny if not so pathetic.

Birth control pills are not just used to prevent pregnancy. They are used for many other medical reasons as well. Viagra is used for several things. The most important seems to be so someone who, for physical or psychological reasons, cannot do the deed. If one is covered so should the other. And by the way, if we are going to not cover the pill because some male legislators say no, no. Then fella's they may stop drug stores from selling CONDOMS. It is all related now.

Surely if they are stopping the sale of birth control pills in some pharmacies, then they should stop selling condoms as well. Since the government is now back again in womens reproductive issues, then if they are now saying, that conception begins when the sperm touches the egg at that instant that is when life begins. Even though doctors say it is not.

This is what legislators are now being asked to consider in one of this idiots ideas for a new law. Legislate the bedroom now. It is too bad that the pill was not being used when Bush's mommy was doing the deed. Just think of the trouble we could have been saved. This latest idiocy reminds me of when Bill Frist, the so called doctor looked at a ten minute film of Terri Shivo and said she was alive and cognizant of her surroundings. After 17 years she was aware. Does anyone remember the autopsy? Half her brain was missing and the other half nearly gone and non functioning. Bush flew back from wherever, practically in his PJ's to sign a law. Turned out all those doctors who had examined her over a 17 year period, some of the best and her husband were right.

I don't want these barely functional barely awake legislators doing the medical war dance for political reasons. If viagra is covered then so should birth control be covered. And if as Bush wants, they outlaw the sale of the pill and we go backward to the early 20th century medically speaking then I want condoms outlawed too.

As for Billo, he should stick to phoning his aides and using the loofah for sex. He seems to have telephone sex and ideas for the use of the loofah down pat. He should stick to that. He is an idiot.

My God!! Aren't most of us fed up by now. Fed up with the weekly scandals and lunacy on the right? Tired of where this country has been taken. And tired of where the Republicans want us still to go? This is the most unhappy, and screwed up country I have ever seen. If we don't wrestle what is left of it and turn it around, it will soon be too late. I am tired really tired.

Obviously, he never heard about countless woman and children dying in childbirth before the availability of the pill. No man ever died because he couldn't get an erection.

Typically myopic. Bill doesn't care about problems that he doesn't have to deal with.
Guys should get free Viagra, women should have to pay for the results of the Viagra.

Perhaps the makers of Viagra should subsidize birth control expenses.

Excuse me but why is VIAGRA advertised to the older man, the man who already has had children. If GAWD had wanted him to continue having sexual realtions, he would have made his pee pee work well all his life. It is OBVIOUS that GAWD does not want these men to continue having sexual relations. In the advertiements, it seems that the "enjoyment" is the woman's, not the man's. Or, I should say sexual partner, which brings me to another point, I hope HOMOSEXUAL men cannot get the VIAGRA. GAWD would not want that either.

"O’Reilly: ‘Do I Have To Buy You Dinner Before You Use The Birth Control?'"

Bill, I read that four times and I'm still not sure what it means. Does it mean that you think any woman should put out to you even before you buy her a sandwich at the Dairy Queen? That a woman shouldn't expect anything from you but bad sex? Whatever it means, Bill, I know it's derogatory...because you have trouble saying anything that isn't derogatory, but you really need a brain surgeon to examine your head before the wiring comes completely entangled and nothing you say makes sense.

No, I will not be a guest on your show.

Okay... lets inject some perspective. Most insurance companies I deal with DO cover birth control. Yes this is a pretty important issue, but there is a MUCH more important issue that needs to get some attention.

Carriers are rolling out new 4-tier pharmacy plans. This is basically a backdoor way of externalizing the cost of high cost meds to the insured with ridiculous coinsurance costs.

I know it isn't as 'bowchickabowwow' as talking about birth control, but this should really hit the news cycle. It's a lot more important.

Shayne,

Exactly, you are subsidizing your employees premiums! Just as I said. They pay much less than if they were to buy that same coverage on their own.

Billo the Clown doesn't have to ever worry about buying a real "woman" anything. His "girls" have been attached to his wrists since conception. But even a guy like him can't go by yanking and the shameful remorse that follows after and has to give in to his Viagral impulses to feel the other sex's finer parts...which for him, cost him a few months pay.
