Even though this was obviously a gross violation of the Equal Pay Act, the SCOTUS basically said she didn't have a leg to stand on, and this is now a wink, wink, nudge, nudge to the rest of the business world that they can thumb their nose at the law without penalty. The Paycheck Fairness Act is basically to correct these wrongs. How would your wife feel if she had been working for the same employer for 20 years, been doing an excellent job, and then found out that the men who were doing the SAME job were getting paid an average of 50% more?
