Michael Savage booted from Los Angeles station.

In the ongoing fallout from his screed against children with autism, right-wing radio host Michael Savage has been kicked off Los Angeles’ KGIL and will be replaced by conservative talker Lars Larson, according to a Larson press release. LA is the second largest radio market in the country. Already, radio stations in Ohio, Mississippi, and Virginia have dropped Savage, and a host of advertisers have done the same.

Savage Weiner should be booted off the planet ……..

  2. tom says:

Unfortunately, it looks like The Savage Weiner’s downfall is only creating opportunities for the next generation of right-wing rant-jockey vermin.

  3. belac says:

Uh-oh Michael… shoulda stuck to calling ‘liberalism’ a mental disorder. Oh well, soon ‘Teddy’ will be the only one subjected to your daily rants… but we’ll always have the bat-sh*t crazy memories!

  4. republicanSScareme says:

Michael “The Savage Jew” Weiner is one 0f those Zionist hate spewer thugs who should be cruxified.

  5. McWars says:

It’s only second nature to replace one reich-winger with another. Can’t change the pace and expand the progressive market, oh no, can’t have that.

  6. McWars says:

Michael Savage loves his voice more than his money, apparently. He’ll still be yapping when his advertisers are completely gone, his carried stations have dwindled, and he’s reduced to minimum wage.

  7. dixie blood says:

This ass-clown just lost the 2nd largest radio market in the USA.

Keep it up loud mouth…keep talkin’ moron…I love a tragedy like you!!!

  8. Saint Augustine says:

One would think that a rational person would apologize and ask his audience to forgive him, but whoever said rightwing talking heads were rational?

  9. Nevar says:

    “…conservative talker Lars Larson,”

Sh!t, I was hoping for John Johnson.

  10. Zooey says:

    Heh.

    Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy…

  11. tbone says:

I’m sure Savage thinks this is somehow liberals’ fault. I prefer to think of it as the free market of advertisers telling him where to stick his microphone.

  12. rastaman says:

WHY ISN’T ANYONE PRODUCING A LIST OF ADVERTISERS SO WE CAN EMAIL?

  13. gummitch says:

Lars? Yeesh. Homegrown wingnut from my backyard. Still, he’s a garden variety “conservative” rather than a batsh!t loser like Weiner, so it’s a step up for LA. Be nice if Lars was so happy that he moved down there, though.

just me? brother it is cuz i would have to listen to the program to discover their identities, and life’s too short to waste on shit like Mikey “Savage”/Weiner…

  15. Zooey says:

gummitch, I thought that name was familiar. Wasn’t he on one of the teevee news stations?

It takes time, we don’t listen to this sh|thead!!

  17. gummitch says:

Zooey, yes. There’s a pretty thorough bio in Wikipedia. At one point, Randi Rhodes had a commercial mocking him, which may just have run locally.

  18. Zooey says:

Oh yeah, that dipshit. He’s no Weiner/Savage. :D

    The ever-shrinking Weiner Nation.

  20. Bozo The Neoclown says:

    good riddance to bad rubbish

  21. shoeless says:

Seems the Weiner is suffering from shrinkage.

  22. dasm says:

Freedom of speech is one thing- but responsibility must be part of that. Savage’s hatred towards children is disgusting, and he deserves to lose every job he has. The best thing would be if some judge made him volunteer with autistic children. What a moron Savage is.

  23. Bozo The Neoclown says:

What’s going to happen is weinerboy is going to pull some “morton downey jr” stunt in a pathetic attempt to save his sinking “career”. Instead of being “jumped” by neo-nazi’s like downey claimed in his hoax, weiner-boy is going to be attacked by a group of liberal girl scouts and get his ass handed to him.

  24. shoeless says:

    Saint Augustine Says:

One would think that a rational person would apologize and ask his audience to forgive him, but whoever said rightwing talking heads were rational?

Whoever said rightwing audiences were rational?

  25. Bozo The Neoclown says:

Whoever said reich wingnut radio hosts or their listeners were “people”. I want to see conclusive DNA testing before calling them that.

  26. shoeless says:

    dasm Says:

The best thing would be if some judge made him volunteer with autistic children.

Why do you hate autistic children?

  27. pete says:

The important thing is to continue hanging the Savage, and his ilk, around the neck of every idiot Repubicriminal who dares open their yap. If they refuse to take responsibility for their own failings? Make them defend their raving mouthpieces. Force them to defend the utter corruption that breeds their kind.

  28. Freedom Rebel says:

Three more advertisers withdrew their support from the fiery hatemonger’s program, Direct Buy, Cisco and Radio Shack, according to Autism United.

That makes seven major advertisers in two weeks that Savage has lost. That is what the power of emails and phone calls can do.

Literally true, as a “nicer guy” would never offend so many listeners and advertisers, so it couldn’t happen to one. :)

  30. Freedom Rebel says:

Because of all the cities Mike Savage show is aired, this is the most comprehensive list I could find. These are advertisers that are heard on Mike’s show in various markets. I have deleted the ones that have pulled their advertising already.

Dude, what did kids with autism ever do to you? My son would happily stomp the shit out of the weenie boy.

  33. RUCerious says:

How’s that view from the bowl with the water spiraling down counter clockwise, Mr. Weenie?

  34. griffink says:

i thought savage was booted out of his “live” timeslot but he may still be on the station late at night, just not allowed on the station “live” for obvious reasons.

  35. Wayne A. Schneider says:

This is good. This is the way it’s supposed to work according to the Capitalist Pigs. The “Free Market” (no such thing in the US, in truth) will weed out the “bad products”. So if Savage ends up losing all of his air time, the right wing can blame themselves, for this is how they say it should happen.

And I bet the rightwingers would answer that with, “Whoever said apologizing was rational?” ;)

  38. barkleyg says:

What’s the problem for these stations. They had to wait for the most ignorant, of the most ignorant, of the most ignorant,of the most ignorant comments to get rid of this POS who represents the worst prejudices of the world, forget just America.

  39. arthurford says:

    To Freedom Rebel/All:
Chattem, Geico, and Gallo should be deleted from the list. If there were a website somewhere, I could forward their email replies.
    Excerpts:
Chattem buys local airtime and the stations decide when to run the ads. “We have requested that the local stations not air our advertising during his show.”
Geico: “GEICO terminated all of its advertising on the show several years ago. Our media buying agency has been instructed that no GEICO advertisements may appear on this program.”
Gallo: “The E. & J. Gallo Winery is not actively advertising on “Talk Radio Network” and has not since November, 2007. We have no further advertising planned for this network.”

  40. Count Istvan says:

His real name can’t be Lars Larson can it?

    From Wiki…

In 2008, Talkers Magazine rated Larson as the 27th most important radio talk show host in America.[6]

That should be good for a free frosty at Wendy’s.

  42. tomcat27834 says:

    Lets not stop there……

Hopefully some of those other ass-clowns like Hannity, Orielly and the rest of the ilk of Fox will self-implode.

  43. arleang says:

I guess Republican listeners have children with autism too. But what a shame it took this to get him off the air.

Now explain to me why Limbaugh gets a free pass. He failed the (poor) taste test years ago but still commands a large audience of people who like to listen to his lies and distortions. I guess he hasn’t been caught on air attacking childen yet.

  44. CitizenGeek says:

It’s good to see that things are finally going wrong for Savage, but it’s sad that he could away with saying that gay people were raping the minds of children, and that it’s only when he insults children with autism that he’s gone too far. Pretty soon, that kind of thing will be as admissible as the “homosexual mind rape” comments, especially if no one stands up to these disgusting, brain dead right wing idiots EVERY time they attack vulnerable groups, and not just children with autism.

  45. jerseyboyblue says:

This is a train wreck worth watching.

  46. dbadass says:

Does Lars Larson come from Wisconsin?

  47. griffink says:

    Lars Live In L.A.
    By Mike Stern

Westwood One syndicated host Lars Larson goes live in Los Angeles, grabbing the 3-6 p.m. PT slot on Mt. Wilson FM Broadcasters talk KGIL, starting Monday, Aug. 4. Larson replaces Talk Radio Network host Michael Savage, who moves to 10 p.m.-midnight.

Following Larson, from 6-7 p.m., will be fellow Westwood One host Larry King. Fox News Radio’s Alan Colmes stays in the 7-10 p.m. slot.

  48. tpkelly99 says:

Michael Savage bluntly speaks the truth and thats what scares you people so much. And he won’t back down which is what frustrates you so much. You can’t shoo him away. Too many people identify with everything he says. He is the voice of many. I’m buying my Michael Savage hat as a token of my support.

  49. tpkelly1 says:

“I’m buying my Michael Savage hat as a token of my support…”

Please consider that wearing one typically requires a head.

  50. Tim43 says:

Wow, this board really does keep th truth from you. I posted a number of comments last night and it appears that the moderator erased them all.

What are you liberals afraid of? Does a different opinion really cause that much angst in you?

By the way. Here are your democrats at work. Seems to me that the Republicans are the only ones who really care about the gas prices. http://www.politico.com/blogs/thecrypt/0808/House_Dems_turn_out_out_the_light_but_GOP_keep_talking.html

  51. tpkelly1 says:

    TripleKick 6 Says:

“Its funny how suddenly liberals here are all outraged over Savage’s autism comments given that they don’t even listen to his show.” …

Its syntactically challenged comment notwithstanding, it’s interesting to note that its argument proceeds thus:

You disagree with me, therefore you have never listened to the show.

All the rest appears to be plugs for Savage’s books, if the targets of the links it has provided are any indication.

And for the record, I would not in a million years suggest that Savage’s brother was merely in need of a good slap to the head.
