Cheney not speaking at McCain’s convention?

cheneymccain.jpgThe right-wing American Spectator reports today that Vice President Dick Cheney will not be a speaker at the Republican National Convention next month, “according to sources in his office.” The magazine says that “Cheney has not sought a speaking slot at the convention, nor has his staff sought a role for him at the convention.” Asked by the Los Angeles Times, Cheney’s press secretary Megan Mitchell did not deny the report, only saying that “the vice president has a great deal of respect for John McCain and as of last Friday was out campaigning for him.”

Digg It!

Cheney , it was reported , insisted on being on-stage with a shot-gun in hand …………..

They have Lieberman already to speak for him.

Joe Lieberman and Eric Cantor, with their Jewish roots, can cheerlead from the stage.

Instead the GOP will just play a video of the 60’s “Batman” TV show with Burgess Meredith as the “Penguin” , so it will appear as if Cheney is present ………

  9. Above the Clouds says:

Well then, who will mount the GOP stage in September to share all the great things the Republicans have done the past 8 years? No wonder the GOP have invited Lieberman to speak–no one in their right mind would want to stand in front of the world and–with a straight face– say they are better off due to Republican leadership.

  10. Wayne A. Schneider says:

Or maybe the Vice President has finally realized that most Americans don’t care what he thinks or has to say. He should stay out of sight, because if the American public at large knew just how much he has done to subvert and destroy our constitutional government, he wouldn’t be safe any where. And he shouldn’t be. He has to be one of the most un-American Vice presidnets we ever had.

  11. Above the Clouds says:

Since Cheney can’t be there in September, the GOP have invited Lieberman to put sprinkles on their turd and take the first bite.

  12. Wayne says:

Was it the part where he drains a live puppy on stage that made them not invite him?

…my extreme excitement for the GOP. There are great things in our future.

You mean like the GOP convention in 2004? That sounded very exciting!

Mistress Natasha, 29, a striking black-haired dominatrix in a midtown dungeon, had just finished flogging one of her clients when they began chatting, as they often do at the end of a session. “I mentioned that I had seen Fahrenheit 9/11 the other night. He asked me what I thought of it, and then he said he was voting for Bush again. It always surprises me how many of my clients are not just Republicans but Bush supporters. I think, You wanted me to force you down to your knees when you’re in a pink tutu, but you support Bush? Maybe that should be part of my punishment: ‘You’re going to vote for Bush? Now you’re really going to get it!’ ”

Like many sex workers in Manhattan, Mistress Natasha is anticipating a dramatic upswing in business late this month as 5,000 delegates—and an entourage of 45,000 others—arrive for four days of work and play. “August is usually slow, but I think I’ll be rather busy,” she says, planning to increase her hours. “I’ve already gotten several e-mails from men who say they’re coming into town that week.”

Transsexual escort and adult-film star Allanah Starr, 26, is even more confident: “I’m sure business will pick up for strip bars and escorts.”

Any official announcement yet which particular religion they plan to exploit for the convention?

We have to support those who want to ensure that our country is going down the straight and narrow path.

Then why are you supporting one of the crookedest parties in American history?

Even Lieberman (D-CT) will speak. This shows that we are making great strides to cross party lines.

Wrong, again. Lieberman is no longer a Democrat, ever since they decided not to nominate him. (You might remember, it was in all the papers.) As for this being some kind of evidence that the Republicans are “making great strides to cross party lines”, again you are deluding yourself. Lieberman is speaking at their convention because the Republican Party supported him in his re-election bid even over the guy they nominated!

I am so excited that I am bubbling inside. You guys might want to attempt to attend the convention out of curiosity. You will receive alot of info.

You can’t be serious. Excited? Bubbling? Please, don’t exaggerate. Besides, you may “receive alot of info”, but I can promise you that a lot of it will be wrong.

So, if I’m going to ask this question, which one is more believable?

    August 4th, 2008 at 2:22 pm

If you mean between Obama and McCain, I think a more helpful perspective would be “Which one is less unbelievable.” McCain, through his well-publicized changes in his positions (and through the lack of intelligence and sound thought in those positions), has shown me that he is highly unbelievable. I have yet to come across the same level of information about Obama’s unbelievability.

dbadass, Darlyy sounds like one of those nerdy freaks, who make up shit trying to be cool, and wind up farting into the wind and thinking it smells better…

  93. Saint Augustine says:

Daryll made a spelling error, but I fixed it for him.

I am actually looking forward to meating Sen. Craig and others.

I wonder if, after a god fearing, Family Values guy like Daryll enjoys a session with a fellow traveller like Larry “I am not gay” Craig, I wonder if the next time he takes a dump if Jesus’ face will appear in the bowl?

I mean after appearing as a cheeto, in a cat’s fur, in windows and all the other forms where the faithful see him, why not a Jesus turd? I wonder if Daryll would save such a holy piece of crap?

Sadly, I believe, when I am an old lady, we will find out that Dick Cheney is mentally ill. His mental illnesses will be found to be the cause of the paranoid policies that have lead us into the current mess.

  95. vinylspear says:

    OOH OOH !!!!
I know why Cheney will not speak at the McCain convention.
It’s because McCain isn’t enough of a hard core neocon for the dark lord to acknowledge.
100 years of war isn’t enough for a cyborg warmonger, he wants total commitment for the next millenia.
McCain can’t give that to him.

  96. vinylspear says:

On a lighter note: Could we please stop dignifying duryyl’s absurd tourettes outbursts with reponses. It’s a lot of fun but, the thread goes to hell in a hand bag too quickly to be much fun.

  97. DRxJ says:

    Wow! Parodyll is on fire!
    Lieberman with a (D).
    Equating Christianity with Republican values.
His giddiness towards “shaking hands” with Senator Craig.

And probably the most disturbing posts of all:
Parodyll’s admittance that he is all “bubbly” inside and can’t wait to “release” the excitement at the Minnesota convention.

I am so very thankful that the pharmacy is extra busy today. I don’t think I can stand anymore not-so-subtle homo erotic posts by Parodyll.

    Now, about this president-elect Huckabee…..

  98. Leftside Annie says:

Darryl, boy, he ain’t MY Vice President. And you can just eat sh*t and die – er, go home to Jebus.

    Love,

    Annie

  99. sacopenapa says:

Chenney should be speaking at all! He should be behind barrs and waiting for his WAR CRIMES trial and execution! HAGUE 2009!

I bind the spirit of perversion,in the name Jesus! Satan must flee from your life. We are going to the RNC to have a good wholesome time, which is part of true conservatism

It looks to me like brainwashed stupidity is the MAJOR part of conservatism and you are such a good example. I noticed later you asked someone if they support America because they criticised Darth Cheney. You really are an idiot arent you? Tell us you arent dumb enough to think that Darth Cheney is America? No administration is America. When will you morons ever see the distinction between the politicians who WORK FOR US and America or what we do and who we are? Is there a single one of you capable of higher brain function? It is abundantly clear YOU arent.
