One of the disservices is that Americans back home that are supporting them. Aren’t supposed to see the actual price we pay in war?

That Americans can only cheerlead and never remorse the cost of life.

Soldiers are killed in action. Not sacrificed, lost or fallen. They are killed.

We should know the cost.

I live in L.A. where her and Dennis Prager get paid a lot of money and smile down from billboards. there’s a lot of advertising time to sell on shows which mock and ridicule Liberal Democrats.

I see this one upside down from most people. I think ignoring the Laura Ingrahms is the WORST thing we can do. look at Corsi and all these guys doing the media mambo again. they still act like their attacks on Kerry were completely true and justified? how can they do that? because not enough people screamed and hollered about it the first time – that’s my opinion.

People who passed on bad info before are doing it again. why shouldn’t they? they were never made to pay a price before.

She might have nightmares about accidentally gunning down a family coming through the checkpoint because an idiot lieutenant from west point that just came in country thought they looked “terror like” and had all ready soiled himself and didn’t want his troops to see he had shit all squashed in his seating arrangement.

With each passing day it seems the Reichwingers become more childlike. Rather than take any responsibility, for anything, they just hide their role. Just like a four-year old who kicks a broken vase under a rug, or hides a broken toy and, when questioned about it’s absence, replies, “it’s too nice to play with every day”.

And the really sad part is that it doesn’t matter what they’ve done. Minor screw ups that could be redressed with a simple, “oops! I effed up, I won’t do that again” are allowed to fester because the people in charge are so arrogant/stupid that it’s more important to defend failure than fix it. And the 20%ers eat it with a spoon.

I think Uncle Ho, RU and some of the fellow Vietnam vets as well as those from Iraq can tell you that, Yes, those things can be seen and were seen. As to the long term impacts, I can only tell I still have thoughts, sometimes dreams and always some anguish, and that is 38 years later.

Dumb Question: In a war, are there things seen which are too atrocious – so that they aren’t put into the Hollywood “truth”?? Are there innocent civilian babies blown apart with entrails spilling out, etc ? Scenes which the soldiers say will haunt them for the rest of their lives ?
