EPA’s Johnson says he’s not resigning.

Last month, Senate Democrats called on Stephen Johnson, Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, to resign his position after continually stonewalling Congress, offering misleading testimony, and caving in to Bush’s radical anti-environmentalism. In a press conference today, Johnson declared he would not heed their request:

Johnson quickly sidestepped on Thursday a question on his reaction to the [senators'] calls in a teleconference with reporters.

“If you want to talk about that you’re more than happy to talk to … our press officer. But no, I’m not,” he said. Then the teleconference ended immediately.

Why would he resign now? He's in line for a medal.

  2. Zooey Says:

I bet he's friends with Tappy McWideStance.

  3. Above the Clouds Says:

Rumsfeld, Gonzales, and Brownie said they weren't leaving, either.

That's just so sad, had enough.

What do they get points for? Whooppee cushions and giant pencils?

    lol...

this shows the trolls do exist and where some come from... only 5 sites were mentioned and TP is one.

Do these perverts have any respect for congress, our government the law?
The culture of corruption from this administration runs deep... and until enforcement is brought about, such as IMPEACHMENT hearings, we will see more disrespect.

More likely Viagra or Haloperidol, and a little Lipitor thrown in for good measure.

Spread the word??? What word? Confusion? Stupidity? Cluelessness?

We're all too aware of what McBush stands for, no need to spread the word.

Although I prefer several words for him, like "old and in the way."

Even more fun is sending the old fart an email.

Just put in a fake email and phone number then "voila"!

    SPEAK YOUR MIND, REAL HARD.

It's also a good way to fight back - relentless, endless emails.

Hell, maybe one of us should write some code to spam the shit outta the old grey mare.

  11. burro Says:

This guy revels in his vision of himself as a steaming cow turd that everyone has to step in. They're disgusted and he's in heaven. He's always warm and runny. He's always in the way. He's always very, very happy to know that he's pissing someone off. He ain't going anywhere. It's naive to think he would. He's priding himself on his ability to be a f'head 'til the end. And praying for a McBush win so he can keep on keeping on. Stephen Johnson...SuperToady.

  12. PeaceMonkey Says:

Johnson's 'Guaranteed Lifetime GOP Pension' will compensate quite nicely for the 2 grueling months he *might* spend inside a quiet, cozy jail cell writing his memoires.

  13. MapleStreet Says:

#4 had enough - I don't get it. Does he keep a list of liberal blogs with the hope of making baby trolls ?

    Back to the EPA:

In Fahrenheit 451, the Fire Department set fires to books.

In 2008 the Environmental Protection Agency is out to gut the environment.

    Got it ?

It was Rachael Maddow, a few hours ago - delayed broadcasting, who announced McCain's action page which has TP and 4 other blogs sites for these goppers to troll on. Notice how no one has come to TP yet with that agenda?

    Because...

    * No one goes to McCains site

    * If they make it to the site, they probably can't read or write

This guy should be fired for his inability to construct a proper sentence. Anyone who doesn't have the ability to construct a proper sentence has no business being the head of a large Federal government agency.
    Who hired this dunce?
    Oh yeah...that's right.

    Baby trolls? They wish...

I suspect the goppers would love to see TP and the other 4 sited mentioned closed down, or at least badly cluttered` with their nonsense.

  17. Roket Says:

Johnson was quoted as saying “I’m not leaving and you can’t make me. Nya nya nya.” [He then made the raspberries noise at which point he got spittle all over his Armani.]

  18. Gregor Samsa Says:

Should Johnson continue with his arrogant, defiant attitude, Congress is going to send him a letter explaining how appalled they are.

That should put him in his place. So there.

  19. old_hack Says:

Why would he resign? after seeing how Bush is still a free man he can only follow his lead. this Congress is absolutely WORTHLESS. screw democrats

I hear Obama is tied with McCain now. If Obama doesn't quit with that stuttering he's gonna lose.

just so you know...THEY'VE ALREADY GOT YOU no more conspiracies

  21. ricchase Says:

We know this guy is a sleazeball corrupt Bush appointee. He (Johnson) knows he is a sleazeball corrupt Bush appointee. He knows that what he is doing is wrong, quite possibly illegal and immoral. He simply does not care. Bush simply does not care. It can not be too soon for people to realize and understand once and for all this administration is a puppet regime with the strings being pulled by the Council on Foreign Relations, The Trilateral Commission and the Bilderburger Group. They have an agenda that bent on a "One World Government" brought about through the chaos they create and implement throughout the world. Elite bankers, megalomanical politicians, the Vatican(Jesuits) are the powerbrokers and decision makers for the world. The truth is the truth.

  22. Paul W Says:

Why would he resign, he's the model of Bush loyalty.

Bring on McIIIrd's sock puppets. They can tell their tales of goodies and tell us what flavor McIIIrd tastes like.

  24. Kay Says:

No, Johnson is just resigned to espouse more BushCO Lies.

(Yup. the air was safe to breathe after BushCO caused 9/11)
