In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) reveals that his favorite superhero is Batman:
He does justice sometimes against insurmountable odds. And he doesn’t make his good works known to a lot of people, so a lot of people think he’s just a rich playboy.
So according to Glenn Beck’s logic…McCain’s favorite superhero must also be President Bush.
E Weekly – not even good enough to wipe your dogs a$$ with.
August 7th, 2008 at 3:52 pmThe difference is, of course, McCain really is just a rich playboy.

A new low in trivial.
And your post, another low in irony.
August 7th, 2008 at 3:54 pmMy favorite is Green Lantern, the man born without fear…. that’s why I never vote republican….
August 7th, 2008 at 3:56 pmOh I get it! McCain fancies himself the caped crusader – doing justice sometimes against insurmountable odds and making his good works known to a lot of people. A new low in pandering for the Pander bear.
And as far as the “rich playboy” part — well why don’t we ask the former Mrs. McCain about that?
Just saying . . .

The difference is, of course, McCain really is just a rich manwhore.
sorry, i couldn’t resist
August 7th, 2008 at 3:57 pmThe Dark Knight (Batman) is about sexual repression and transexuality. It’s got a man in costume, childhood traumas, a live-in male butler, a relationship with a girl that never works out, violence. It writes itself.
So yeah, I can see why the GOP wants to claim a kinship with Batman.
August 7th, 2008 at 3:58 pmI’ll take Spiderman. Always liked him as a kid, he struggles with his acquired power, and always gets hot chicks.
Batman, I believe, prefers boys (remember Robin the sidekick????)
August 7th, 2008 at 4:00 pmAre we sure McLame’s hero isn’t Droopy Dog?
I could swear they are twins!
August 7th, 2008 at 4:03 pmMcC*nt is jealous that Leahy got a part, eh?
McC*nt may get the next ‘Penguin’ role, however..ahee, hee, heh
August 7th, 2008 at 4:06 pmDieNowForPeace Says: Are we sure McLame’s hero isn’t Droopy Dog?
Nah, Droopy shows much more passion in his speech & thoughts.
August 7th, 2008 at 4:09 pmI would have thought Hellboy…
August 7th, 2008 at 4:09 pmI thought John was a bit batty.
August 7th, 2008 at 4:13 pmThe Thing from the Fantastic Four????
Nahhh, then McSame would have to be tough and fierce, and strong!
August 7th, 2008 at 4:14 pm“according to Glenn Beck’s logic…McCain’s favorite superhero must also be President Bush.”
Not exactly. That would imply that Bush actually has some good works that “he doesn’t make known to a lot of people”.
“Are we sure McLame’s hero isn’t Droopy Dog?”
You’re thinking of Lieberman. John Stewart does a great impression of Lieberman/Droopy, by the way.
August 7th, 2008 at 4:18 pmGary Kleppe Says:
The difference is, of course, McCain really is just a rich playboy.
You mean a rich playboy brought and paid for by Cindy. McCain is certainly no Bruce Wayne where Wayne inherited his money from his wealthy parents.

Actually DareDevil is the man without fear. Green Lantern was a regular guy until he was given a powerful ring.
August 7th, 2008 at 4:23 pmI myself prefer The Greatest American Hero, reminds me of John Edwards, cept for the whole cheating on his wife with cancer thing.
McC*nt may get the next ‘Penguin’ role, however..ahee, hee, heh
I think Darth Cheney has the Penguin part all sewn up. Actually, I think he may have been the original inspiration for the character . . . life imitating art imitating life, you know.
August 7th, 2008 at 4:24 pmBatman is a superhero without any superpowers, who is forced to use both his intelligence and physical will to bring down villains who deal in homicidal rage and are well beyond the diagnosis of sociopaths. The fact that Batman chooses not to kill as a key rule, so he doesn’t become one of the villains, has been put to the limit numerous times as he’s watched his loved ones either be killed, maimed or crippled at the hands of those he battles. So McCain saying his favorite hero is Batman is dripping with irony, given his pro war stance among those things on his list. Batman/Bruce Wayne has proven you may be pushed, but the rules you live by will define who you are because being a champion means your enemies will never stop coming at you since you can’t win the fight, but only keep going at it.
August 7th, 2008 at 4:25 pmOOOOPS……SOUNDS TO ME LIKE MKKKAIN HASN’T SEEN THE LATEST ONE YET…..HE’S STILL THINKING OF “BATMAN BEGINS”

What IS IT with the rights infatuation with everyone’s private sex life? Even unproven ones?
It has to be the envious complex.
It just has to be.
I think I’ll call you “Plastic Man” because you have no back bone, and your posts are quite a stretch!
August 7th, 2008 at 4:28 pmMcC*nt is the one handing out tire gauges, dipshit.
August 7th, 2008 at 4:30 pmNope, themis. We are all being silly in a purposeful, satiric sort of way. You are being juvenile.
August 7th, 2008 at 4:32 pmGlenn Beck and Flippy McSpin agree. The best hope for a GOP victory in November is Batman. The only question left is, will he be McSpin’s running mate or will they send Flippy out to pasture at the convention?
August 7th, 2008 at 4:38 pmAnd yet you were the first SOB to post. It always amazes me how the people who hate you are your most faithful readers.

Fcuking terrorist sympathizer, why give into the left’s so-called “propaganda” regarding tire pressure????????
August 7th, 2008 at 4:59 pmIs Amanda a supporter of Glenn Beck’s logic?
August 7th, 2008 at 5:14 pmIs Amanda a supporter of Glenn Beck’s logic?
It don’t get any dumber than this people.
August 7th, 2008 at 5:45 pmChances are Batman is just his favorite super hero since that’s the movie that’s out right now.
Anyway, I love comic books. My favorite superhero is still Captain America, as surprising is that is even to myself.
August 7th, 2008 at 6:27 pmWhat’s
THIS??
John McCain, the DORK KNIGHT, resorting to using Democrats to defeat evil?
ILTGTPIBI
August 7th, 2008 at 6:47 pmlucky for me I have a backup tire gauge
Too bad for us there’s no “backup brain”.
You desperately need one.
August 7th, 2008 at 11:30 pmit will not read anything over 35 lbs.
Ah yes, and you’ll need a more robust gauge to help inflate your Jihadi love doll.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:22 amIsn’t Batman gay?
August 8th, 2008 at 12:26 am.
… But I thought that the war criminal Shrub was McCun’tz hero.

Well since everyone is being juvenile here…..
I think Obama’s favorite superhero is Captain Underpants.
Well since all you EVER do is post the most ignorant drivel imaginable we didnt expect anything else from you.
August 8th, 2008 at 5:28 am“He does justice sometimes against insurmountable odds.”
Senator McCain, Batman doesn’t “do justice”. Hell, that’s not even a valid phrase!
And he doesn’t make his good works known to a lot of people, so a lot of people think he’s just a rich playboy.
Actually the whole point of the Batman persona is to make sure his works are well-known. That’s how he drives fear into evil-doers’ hearts! Duh! The alter-ego Bruce Wayne is a convenient mask Batman wears. Bruce Wayne IS just a rich playboy, he DOESN’T do good works.
Oh, and a private citizen fighting corruption in society and government, and protecting the poor and helpless? That’s hardly the definition of a Republican, Batman obviously leans Left.
