What’s amazing here is the scale of how wrong he is. Hickory has the highest BTU per cord according at 2,770,000 BTU. A single barrel of crude oil, on the other hand, holds approximately 5,800,000 BTU. You would need a little more than two cords of wood to equal a single barrel. 40 barrels in a single tree is just silly.

Ok, I gotta sorta defend the Idiot Sali. There was a story on CNN about the Jatropha tree. Heres the link:

Supposedly it can produce oil from its seeds, but I think it was only like 1 barrel per tree.

My guess is Idiot Sali saw this story and got it wrong on numerous levels.

He is still and Idiot tho.
