Honest to God, he sounds like O’Reilly, who once claimed that his encouragement of a boycott against French products cost France “billions of dollars.” But I’m quite sure it won’t be long before we hear from the trolls that Gore claimed to have invented the Internet. The only difference is that O’Reilly’s claim actually happened and the Gore “claim” was a complete and utter fabrication by the Right.

I’ve NEVER heard anyone support telemarketing, however, if theses companies persist in doing it, it must be working. I don’t even pick up there calls. I wanna know who does? And why.

Hmmm, I added all my Landlines and Cell numbers to the list and the unsolicited calls dropped dramatically.
Used to get 2-3 a day, now I am lucky if I get a couple a month. You all need to remember that there is a loophole. If you have done business with the calling company, they are allowed to call you. If they do, just tell them you are on the DoNotCall list, and do not call anymore.
Also, whenever a retailer ask for my phone number, I tell them it is none of thier business. If you give out your number to any yahoo company or retailer you’ve opened the door for them and thier “partners”.
I look at it like this.. Guard your phone numbers like you would any other personal info i.e.. SS# CC# PIN#

Yes you are both right on the lack of enforcement, or rather the loopholes. I have been getting robo-calls from “Credit Services” for a year now which I happen to know is based in Maine. They use a telemarketing shop to field live responses and they of course are just a bunch of minimum-wagers who are just trying to earn a buck in this lousy economy. The “press 2 to be removed from our call-list” is complete bollocks.

Grampy McSame says – My friends back in the day we used to get calls all day and all night, those drums would never stop, BAM BAM BAM…BAM BAM IRAN, 24/7, now I prefer rocks myself, banging them together or just throwing them, when you throw a rock you are sure to get someone’s attention, so I got tired of all the drumming day and night and especially during dinner time, it’s hard to start fires enough and get the coals glowing without those pesky drums, so I decided, that’s right, I DECIDED that the drums during dinner needed to stop, so I sent out Cindy to dance Topless while drugged up on those little pills she borrowed and sure enough the drums stopped, and it was all because of me, the POW guy, you know “Songbird” McSame…I like pork and beans in my pants.

You can take credit for the Georgia Conflict while you’re at it, nimrod.
