Except bit didn’t reach this “understanding” through logic, and bit doesn’t mean to suggests that this one example describes all homosexuals.

It’s a little too convenient to blame the way homosexuals “feel” on the way they are treated by het ero sexuals. It’s not that bit necessarily disagrees with you, it’s simply too convenient.

That’s a fair point because I actually do believe in a “Higher power” and that that higher power created, or more, allowed evolution. The reason I didn’t frame it that way was an attempt to allow for easier communication with someone of Daryll’s apparent world-view.

based on your 1 example? If I know of a heterosexual male who has raped women, by your logic, I can make the assumption that most strait guys are rapists and I’m sure we could agree that that would be utterly ridiculous.

I’m not gay, but I have enough gay friends and relatives to know that it wasn’t their “choice”. They would have “chosen” a much simpler life if it were really up to them… some of them even did “choose” to live that simpler life, but it really just didn’t work out because it was a lie.

O.K., I realize how that sounded. But let me say this: during the Age of AIDS, some doctors REFUSED to give an AIDS diagnosis because of their “beliefs!” It was a time when layman had to look through medical records and find out if the t-cell count was low enough so that people could avail themselves of San Francisco services (note: “FAITH-BASED” agencies didn’t exist. The Southern Baptist Convention still doesn’t have a single one, except in Africa).

Organized religion has been making “outcasts” “lepers” “heathens” and “pagans” for many years. It won’t give up on stigmatizing gays. Ever. The doctors who refuse to treat patients because they are gay are not doctors in the true sense.
