NBA clears basketball teams to negotiate with Iranians.

The Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control granted NBA teams clearance to negotiate with Iranian center Hamed Ehadadi. “The NBA sent out an email to executives late Wednesday afternoon informing its 30 teams they were free to enter into negotiations with the 7-foot-2 Iranian Olympian, as well as one of his teammates on Iran’s national team: guard Mohammadsamad Nik Khahbahrami.” The NBA had originally advised teams that it would be illegal to engage in business dealings with Ehadadi.

Hey it’s sports and they have lots of money to throw at our elected officials, besides Uncle Dick’s old company sure hasn’t had any trouble doing business with Iran.

    – - I can’t wait to hear NBA announcers, especially Marv Albert, go on an elocution safari with these guy’s names.

I can hear the reichwingers now: But, but, but some of these players might be super secret terrorists posing as basketball players…

Since when did our country become the home of the cowards? It really must suck being a republican these days, your party is dying and half of your day is spent hiding under your bed, lying in a puddle of your own urine, in the fetal position, cowering in fear thinking that a scary brown skinned person is going to kill you at any minute. Man up you pussies!

Shhhhhh…the American people aren’t suppose to know this as Iran is considered our evil enemy and to most Americans and the constitution this would be considered treason.

This is all good. If this guy turns out good you will be seeing a lot of NBA in Iran. That would be a great oppurtunity for the USA.

So is this an unofficial “read between the lines” message that Iran is no longer on the U.S. sh!t list? Because if so, that means we should expect saber rattling to intensify by a factor of 1,000 on the Russian front.

John McCain plans to use the Georgians as a means to strike at the Russians. Because in his mind, the N.Vietnamese were Soviet surrogates.
