McWars Says:

Free market means one is free to provide a service or not. It’s not negative regulation if it guarantees a right to choose whether to provide the service.

Name one major medical inventor who intended their contributions to be for-profit.

Your comment really doesn't pertain to people being able to choose which services they will provide. But, as long as you wish to change the subject, I've never seen any data on which, if any, medical inventors invented for profit. Data on which medical inventions are patented would give you a clue. I'd be interested in the seeing the results if you choose to research it.

MissMolly, I don't believe goony is redeemable. I've been flagging every single freaking troll this morning. I'm tired of them and their idiotic spewing.

And goony? I know a troll elsewhere who is up to his 38th iteration.

You've got your work cut out for you.

I can’t argue with that MCMetal. I personally have spent a lot of time in Los Angeles. And while I love it there and would be happy to move there any time it’s not the same kind of city. My daughter wants to work on Broadway when she’s old enough so I suspect I’ll eventually get to spend time in NYC. I can’t wait.

It is a tough place ; and the weather reaches opposite ends of the the extremes.

But as the song says : "If I can make it there.........."

You are such a child Gigi. I wish the Bushco style of politics was half as clean as the Chicago style politics. Don't tell me, you watched the Untouchables and you believe that people in Chicago still ride around in Model Ts with machine guns ablaze. Get a grip.

This is from your link above Gigi. The one you intended to be a smear. Even if you read your own links you don't know what they mean.

good_golly5 Says:

The New York post has posted a summary of BARACK’S FAVORS FOR CORRUPT CRONY, Tony Rezco.
August 22nd, 2008 at 9:59 am

* Obama cosponsored the Illinois Housing Initiative Act of 2003, which required the governor to develop a plan for more low-income housing and "provide[d] for funding for housing construction and rehabilitation and supportive services."

* In 2003, Obama voted for the Affordable Housing Planning and Appeal Act, which required Illinois municipalities to make 10 percent of their housing units "affordable" (by definition, this included subsidized housing). This forced 46 communities just outside of Chicago to create more than 7,000 new "affordable" units - a huge boost in demand for area developers. The bill also provided loopholes for developers to circumvent local ordinances and regulations.

Don’t get me wrong, Syayne. I love Chicago as a City and Metropolitan area. I just don’t like its dirty Democratic politics and dirty Democratic politicians.

You really do have reading comprehension problems. Zion and Waukegan politics have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with Chicago. They're in Lake County while Chicago is in Cook County. BUT there are many strictly Republican towns within Cook County. The dirty politics Chicago was known for are basically gone. You complain about Obama helping pass legislation for low income housing. This scattered site housing was to get people out of the projects so they can advance themselves in better communities. The projects were an advantage because there was a high concentration of Democratic votes in a smaller area. How does working for scattered site housing dispersing these votes show Obama's corruption. And really if that's not what your getting at what is your freakin' point.

Are you going to be in the free speach cage the Democrats have set up for you?
__________

Well, seeing as that bloated, drug-addled sack of porcine offal from hell Limbaugh was using his national radio platform to urge his mindless followers to go to Denver en masse and cause trouble, having some sort of security measures in place would appear to be a necessity.

I mean, where else are you going to hold mobs of drunken, unwashed, unruly GOOPer stooges bent on disrupting the convention?

Why doesn't McSame know how many houses he and Cindy own? Maybe Cindy hasn't told him about all of them because she uses one or two of them to get away from her husband. This is a really good way to keep extra-marital affairs from your spouse (men are not the only ones cheating on their spouses).

Hell, Cindy knew very early on that Johnny boy was married, so she probably knew he would never be faithful to her and decided she would enjoy herself, and probably with a man younger that her.

Then there is the possibility that Cindy's father sent Cindy out to find a potential politician that he could buy an office for in exchange for that politician's protection. That might be the reason Cindy got the bulk of her father's money and businesses.

O.k. missmolly, I guet it. TP and its minions can cite to whatever they wish, but if we want to debate with contrary authority, we are limited to the few sites (which you refuse to specify) that you consider objective.
___________________________________________________________

Hey, I'm trying to help you here, and all you're doing is whining like a petulant child.

What I am saying (and have been saying) is that your posts have a greater chance of being taken seriously if you cite sources others find credible. Just as you are more likely to take me seriously if I cite sources you have at least a modicum of respect for.

Yet you are blowing what I am trying to tell you into some congflagration of double-standards and restrictions, which I have NEVER said or even implied. You are certainly entitled to use whatever sources you want to make your points. Just don't be surprised when you get ignored, laughed at, or eventually flagged when you become too annoying.

It basically boils down to what role you want to play here. A conservative contributor who presents thoughtful and intelligent opposing rebuttal, bolstered by sources that carry some weight? Or a troll? I had hoped you might want to be the former, and I'm trying to help you become that. But if it's your goal to be the latter, you are only worthy of being flagged and removed.

Oh, and I know one of your favorite points -- where you feel you have "scored" somehow, is that I have not given you a list of objective news sources. I haven't, because others have already done so, and I stand by their choices. Gummitch had a pretty good list up at post #139.

“The county is part of the Chicago metropolitan area.”

“Its lakefront communities, along with some in Cook County, are part of an area known as the North Shore.”

I was raised on the North Shore Gigi. The North Shore that is still in Cook County. Zion and Waukegan are not the North Shore and your quote shows that these two town are not even in Cook County but Lake County. In no way part of Chicago except that the resident are able to travel to the city easily. Regardless, what does any of this have to do with anything. Chicago is one of the few cities that is surviving during this financial downturn. Since this Mayor Daley has been in office tourism has skyrocketed because the city has been improved constantly. So much so that it is a finalist for the 2016 Olympics. Washington DC on the other hand has been left to rot by the Bush administration that refuses to put any money into infrastructure, you know the kind of work that creates jobs here. 60 Minutes had a segment on how bad DC looks to tourists now. But where to you get off denouncing a great city because something some sh*tkickers it mostly Republican areas pulled.
