AND i got to meet the inimitable Shayne!!! the genuine article! such a sweety, to me! didn't have enough time together as she was part of the "staff"... heh... the ONLY thing wrong about the event, and it was a biggie - not enough water... i think it could be a story... they made everybody toss their bottled water... but you could buy big cups of water for $2... i passed a water stand because i couldn't get a bottle and didn't want to bother with a cup - which i think most everybody else felt the same... it didn't take long, in the hot sun to know that i had to go back and get some water - good people kept my spot in return for an extra cup... the press of the crowd made that trip near impossible... but i think it was a mistake to not allow bottled water - which is much more convenient to sip on and re-cap... many people were suffering... there was not enough water. but, damn, it was a great event... at the spot where barack announced, the old capitol building... i was there THAT day also - Feb 07, bitter cold... at least it was a georgeos sunny day... today we were cheering the clouds! just glad it wasn't in the 90s or more! not enough water…
