18: impeachcheneythenbush:

Speaking of Cindy McCain, wouldn’t you LOVE to see a debate between the two presumptive First Ladies? Now, THAT would be a show!!

Well ... maybe ... would it help if Mrs. McSame went topless and bottomless? If so, Mr. McSame would probably make the little "c*nt" do it.

Cheers,

Shayne,

That was me posting to see where JimAK/Wilke was. He is always quick to defend anything negative about Stevens, Big Oil or Climate Change.

I made that 'tropical resort' comment because of the opening of the summer ice flows to possible shipping in the next few years.

JimAK Says:

Or maybe he is up in the Arctic buying up all that future beachfront property for his new tropical resort?

Just finishing up the coldest summer ever recorded in Alaska.

You really don't understand global climate change do you. Were you a POW too?

It is uncertain if the boiling water is a 211 degrees or 212 degrees.

Therefore I can put my hand in it.

_______

True! It all depends on altitude and air pressure and any chemicals that may be dissolved in the water. With all these uncertainties in the science of water boiling, we should wait for further years of testing before attempting to make pasta.

Wayne Says:

When the theory of relativity is taken into account when calculating problems using the laws of motion then the calculations are much more accurate.

And then Schrödinger came along with his quantums and his cat and screwed up relativity.

mk3872, I would argue that the number of Clinton supporters who will vote for McCain is much less than the story the media is selling. Compare the number of signers at the PUMA site to the 18 million who voted for Clinton. Make it a fraction. What does that tell you?

McCrappedmypants is going to have quite a juggling act to pull off in the coming weeks. His neocon and lobbyist masters are demanding that he back their regressive platforms on key issues that McPow has been trying to use to woo Independents. Quite a conundrum trying to convince the public that you support Roe v. Wade and want to place Supreme Court Justices who will overturn it. He's had relative success to date supporting both sides of an issue when dealing with small audiences around the country. However, when the Republican Convention and the debates begin, McSame will need a to make a final mass public decision as to which side he will actually stand on on the issues. Does he appeal to the base or the Independents? Kinda tough that he needs both group's support to even have a fighting chance. Then there is that one word which could spell a rapid and decisive defeat for McGrampa..."draft". It will be tough to flip-flop once you've stated your position in a debate or in front of America during the Convention. Stay tuned for the implosion of the John McCain Presidential Campaign...

Xisithrus Says:

Theories are uncertain, and to say all science is uncertain is itself a theory.

Most people are confused about the meanings of scientific laws, theories and hypothesis.
New theories can actually invalidate previously established scientific laws.

For example the original Newtonian laws of motion were inaccurate because they did not incorporate the theory of relativity later observed by Einstein.

When the theory of relativity is taken into account when calculating problems using the laws of motion then the calculations are much more accurate.

hussein toasterhead Says:

And just who are these “no-growth radicals” that McCain and the science deniers are constantly talking about? Groups like Greenpeace usually talk about the economic gains we will realize from investment in renewable resources and energy efficiency. I haven’t seen any environmental group suggesting that we revert to the preindustrial age.
----------

Try winning the argument with that attitude.

Or try in this context: The EVIL European/Anti-American Scientists v. American Jobs/American Security/No Gays/All English

No way I'm siding with EVIL!
