If you want to be a serious GOP candidate, here are the two steps to follow: 1. Make good friends with the media, so they won't question your policies or character...no matter how hackneyed, distasteful and disjointed they might be. 2. Say you hate dirty politics, how you've tried to reform Washington and do a complete 180 on those statements while pocketing lobbyist dollars like a thief in the night. RNC will be an interesting event now that 9 GOP Senators bailed from attending, Bush and Cheney speaking on the first night, and Cheney bailing from the remainder of the event to go to Georgia. It is a clear sign of desperation that they're nitpicking the convention instead of talking about real issues. Truth is, the GOP has nothing to run on this year. No one wants four more years of Dubya - not even Republicans. They can't gloat over their accomplishments (they don't have any, at least ones that worked anyway). So I guess all they have left is bitter, sour grapes to chew on. Republicans just need to STFU about the Democratic convention and focus on their own upcoming convention.
