Heh and then I just realized after saying “rock and hard place”, Bush actually does have a way out of this. He needs to GO DOWN THERE and help. Take off the suit, get dirty, pitch in wherever help is needed.

I’d bet a good chunk of change that he won’t though. He never showed interest in helping people before, why break a grand tradition like that?

Either way, speak or not, I’m not sure it matters much. Bush is between a rock and a hard place.

If he speaks, the shadow of the hurricane is hanging over his head while he talks to America, he’ll have to address it. If he doesn’t, surely every Democrat under the sun is going to remind everyone about the disaster 3 years ago.

Again, this is clue to President McCain of Hanoi Hilton that the GOP and the rest of the nine GOP Senators that bailed from attending the RNC event are not comfortable for their pick for President to lead the third Bush term.

Bill Clinton gets a heroes welcome at the Democratic convention, and the Republicans come up with an excuse to keep Bush from coming to their convention.

The Democrats should set up a stage in Minneapolis next week and invite Bush to speak.
