No there isnt ANYTHING to this story by the time Obama even met the guy he was a respected professor. He was someone in the chicago political machine and he had a small fundraiser at his apartment. Its not like they were best friends or like Obama is touting him to be his Secretary of State. If you want to run for office you go to whichever fundraisers the political machine makes available. Why does this whole guilt by association thing apply only to Democrats? Bushs Grandfather had his assets siezed for trading with the Nazis under the trading with the enemy act. He was good friends with Kenny Lay. McCain was one of the Keating 5.

Where does anyone here or elsewhere say that they ‘love’ William Ayres? And do you have statistics as to how many people actually killed their parents at his request?
