Rove calls Biden a ‘big blowhard doofus.’
Today, the campaign of Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) criticized Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) for saying that McCain is “out of sync with the whole rest of the world.” McCain spokesman Ben Porritt said that while McCain “has called upon Americans to serve and assist our fellow citizens in the gulf states,” Biden “clearly has no limits when it comes to political attacks.” Today, however, McCain adviser Karl Rove took the attacks even further at the GOP convention, calling Biden a “big blowhard doofus.”

The Republicans are really scared and it’s showing in the things they are doing.
Also, McCain is not the only one who has called people to serve in the hurricane zone. He’s the only one who has gotten publicity for it. Obama has asked his volunteers to go help all they can and he has asked his contributors to contribute to hurricane relief. At this time Obamas front page of his website is all about hurricane relief. I’m betting that a lot more Obama supporters contribute to the Red Cross to help than McCain supporters do. It really makes me angry that the MSM is being so partisan. We have to work so much harder to get the truth out. I talk to people at work every day to overcome the misconceptions they have and the lies they have bought.

Bush I referred to Clinton & Gore as “Mr. Bozo - Ozone Man.” It smacked of the desperation of someone who is about to lose. I think it has something to do with reverting to 4th grade linguistics.
“Big blowhard doofus” is really close to that. If McCain speaks those words, or something similar, then we know the race is over.

Well, it’s certainly getting played out in the national media.
I thought I was just being funny when I kept asking, “Geez, did anyone bother to vet Palin BEFORE offering her the slot???” It now appears that, NO, they did not… at all… in any form…
One thing I find, ah, “interesting” about her daughter’s blessed pregnancy… we won’t know for sure if she’s actually pregnant until AFTER the election.

That’s not “capitalizing” on the misfortune of others to demonstrate the party’s newfound good will. That is compassionate conservativism, so don’t go injecting any liberal politics into this hurricane by criticizing McCain in any way.

2) Palin belonging to an organization that was encouraging secession from the Union is quite amazing. There are other organizations in other states, including Vermont, that want to secede from the Union as well. While her reasons revolve around the Second Amendment and abortion, others just want the hell out because of the violations of the whole Constitution and the danger associated with this crazy administration, as well as the general “american exceptionalism” meme that makes us appear as a threat to much of the world. Amusingly, it’s the only thing that I find appealing about her. But then, I’m just some old 60-something radical.
3) Haven’t seen any coverage of the RNC Convention (truncated now), but there IS coverage of a very large anti-war demonstration in St. Paul on C-Span.
