I think it’s particularly relevant, Bilbo, since her public record confirms that she would seek to impose her parenting methods on the whole country. Public schools would be reduced to “God did it” and “keep your knees together or you’ll go to Hell”. And if that idea doesn’t raise one’s hackles, one needs some counseling.

While I was driving home tonight I heard Randy Rhodes read a letter from a woman who lives in Sarah’s home town. She has known her since 1992. The letter was quite enlightening. It wasn’t horribly critical of Sarah, but it wasn’t complimentary either. It was just a bunch of facts like her taking over as mayor with the city having zero debt and when she left six years later the 6,600 citizens were saddled with 22 million in debt. Now that’s impressive.

Questioning her role in her family is not sexist either. She is the mother to a special needs baby and a out-of-control teenager. Her husband is obviously not taking on the role of Mr. Mom, so that leaves the mothering duty up to Sarah Palin. She is allowing her political ambitions to take first place over her children who need her. There’s nothing sexist about that. If she was a man who was abandoning his family, I would say the same thing.

True JMOHR. However, I still think most of the psychochristians were going to vote GOP by default. While it’s possible that she will retain a few who may have voted Barr, or stayed home, I don’t see her attracting anyone from outside the GOP base. And she may drive off a few who agreed with McSpin’s estimation of the Radical Right as “agents of intolerance”.

I think her selection is good news for the Obama campaign and anyone invested in seeing an end to the GOP’s largess.

Frankly, I don’t know how Ms. Fiorina got to be a spokesperson or surrogate in the political arena, anyway. She has proven time and again that she is not very good at and nobody seems to listen to her. She should go back to what…ooops…she wasn’t very good at that, either.

The whole Palin debacle is confusing enough in its own right, without adding the lightweight Fiorina quips to it. Somebody get her outta here!

Truly, those idiots just don’t get it.

If they want a woman as veep, fine. Hell, we Dems did it 25 years ago.

But, for God’s sake, PICK ONE WHO IS QUALIFIED.

I can think of at least a half dozen highly qualified Republican women (Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, Elizabeth Dole, Kay Bailey Hutchinson) — but none of them are beauty queens.

And probably none of them are ideologically rigid religious freaknuts, either.

Crikey – if McLoser had picked a woman like Susan Collins of Maine – then, I’d be scared.

Now, with the Palinator? I’m just laughing my v*gina off.

I object to Ms. Palin on very simple grounds. She’s bat-scat crazy. And, apparently, a growing number of Reichwhiners are reaching similar conclusions. It’s truly difficult to imagine a worse choice for VP. Or a less electable one.

Her positions on abortion, contraception and teaching creationism within the public schools will be exactly what McCain seeks to develop a ground game.
