By insisting on using the term “Islamic terrorism”, the GOP is insulting every Muslim all across the world by association their religion with the violent, extreme acts of a small group of people. It would be like judging all Christians based on the actions of the “Army of God” or “Focus on the Family”, or some other “Christian” hate group.

Terrorism is a TACTIC. It has been used by many groups throughout history. Some of those groups have been Muslim, some have been Jewish, some have been Christian, etc. It is a gross oversimplification to associate this tactic with one particular religious group. Also, by associating Islam with terrorism – and acting as if the religion itself is the source of that terrorism – we are alienating the very people we need as allies in fighting against the extremists within the Muslim world.

A real leader would know that. You know, someone like Barack Obama.

I couldn’t bring myself to watch one second of the bulls$#% thrown last night, but already from my reading, I can see that they will stop at nothing to discredit the Dems and smear them anyway possible. It appears to me that the Repugs, at least the ones that can’t think for themselves, are falling for this crap, hook, line and sinker. In my brief switch onto MSNBC last night…I saw one woman say how “proud” she was to be a woman!!!!If THAT isn’t the apitomy of stupid, I don’t know what is!! It’s like a friggin’ cult..they brainwash you, then when you finally realize what’s happened to you, it’s too late! I saw someone last night say that McCain already has 85% of his base sown up…that this was talking to the Independents..please hope THEY have a brain! The moral of the story is…I can’t DO one more second of this country being this way..we can do so much better. So for all the chatting we do here amongst ourselves, and I really do enjoy reading this and conversing wirh people that are like minded,PLEASE do something (if you’re not already)to support our cause. It’s not good enough to just complain and say how hosed this whole thing is.I surely don’t mean to insult anyone on here…maybe all of us ARE sending $$$ and registering voters and getting the message out to take our country back…I have no way of knowing.I just don’t want to be disappointed again. I’m sick of the lies,sick of our standing in the world, sick of the ideals and I will do everything in my power to make sure that these Bastards aren’t sitting there with the trigger in their hands….cause I’m really afraid for us if that happens. Remember what happened with Michael Mukasey? He eeked his way past the confirmation hearing to vet him, promising to uphold the law and then he refused to uphold the law.

I believe that McCain must make seemingly well intentioned promises, but in the end he will take that wrong-head lead of George Bush and build upon them.

We cannot afford any more of the kind of leadership the GOP has provided.

And I am certainly tired of the negativity of McCain and Palin.
