Obama will raise taxes on all Americans — that own their own planes. McCain’s constituency.

Of course in Alaska, a lot of people have to own a plane just to get to their house… so those city folk can pay more taxes and that’s ok.

As I understand it, she raised taxes in Wasilla to pay for a sports complex. Instead of grabbing the land when it was available, a developer bought it. She tried to have the property taken under emminent domain, and the lawsuit cost the town a lot of money.

If I am wrong about this, then I apologize and I need to check other sources besides the Anchorage Daily News.

Um. Missmolly. Katie Couric proved her lack of integrity when she left “the real McCain” on the cutting room floor. And I think she gave up shame when she plagiarized her personal blog entries. Neither she, nor her immediate supervisors, should still be employed by the network Walter built. And until they are gone I will ascribe no more importance to CBS than I do to FAUX.

Personally, I don’t think Ms. Couric deserves a more important role than covering washed-up movie stars who behave badly. And I wouldn’t blame them for telling her to go Cheney herself.

Steve Schmidt certainly isn’t the first Republican (or even the first member of the McCain team) to claim that Obama wants to raise everybody’s taxes.

Katie Couric should be ashamed for allowing Schmidt to get away with telling something that’s an out-and-out lie. And this goes for ALL media talking heads who just smile, nod, and allow the lies to continue.

If the media won’t call these liars what they are (and yes — when they tell deliberate falsehoods they KNOW aren’t true, they are liars), then Obama needs to do it. And his team needs to do it. And we need to do it.
