Gov. Palin spoke out about corporate interests and lobbyists.

SHE NEVER MENTIONED HOW SHE FITS IN WITH THE McCAIN CAMPAIGN’S LOBBYIST FORCE RUNNING HIS CAMPAIGN..

Does Gov Palin have any views on clening up McCain’s camp top advising lobbyists on leave to run his campaign?

While Sarah didn’t mention Republican incumbent President George W. Bush, she did invoke Democratic President Harry Truman. Bizarre, on so many levels.

She didn’t have Harry’s credibility in slamming her running mate’s “do nothing Congress”.

Sarah’s mention of torture was bizarre in light of Republican green lighting of similar treatment of prisoners in U.S. custody.

Finally, Harry had this to say of Palin’s party, “Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a Republican. But I repeat myself.”

There is so much made out of her speech last night by the media.
She has been practicing for the last two days to deliver the speech, she did not write the speech.
I do care about her record,and where she comes from and what change will she be making,for the best or the worst to this country and the world.
Speeches are not enough.
You can hear nice words from used car salesman at the car lot, but unless you drive the car,look at the engine and check the milage of the car,then you can be fooled by just leaving it to the car salesman’s sweet words..

During the Dem primaries Palin did an interview with Newsweek in which she criticizes Hillary for her response to media scrutiny. Does the McCain camp have a leg to stand on when they criticize the media for reporting truths uncovered on this little known politician?

Last night’s speech that Palin read was nothing short of devisive and bluntly partisan. Was this, the nation’s first look at the GOP VP candidate supposed to help us see their ticket as one of change for this Nation? McCain’s rhetoric of reaching across isles and bringing both sides together couldn’t possibly have been further from the spectacle of last night’s hatefest parade of failed Republican hacks. If the many stories floating around the inter-tubes bears any fruit we can look forward to the Straight Talk Express cruising of a cliff and bursting into flames well before November.
A small point: does anyone else think that hunting from a helicopter is slightly…dare I say…elitist?

As an Obama supporter, I have to say that I liked Failin’ Palin’s speech for several reasons:

(1) she is such a sarcastic, screechy personality that she will be the brunt of talk show jokes (and should be)

(2) she was so offensive, obnoxious and insulting that she is no longer “immunized” from criticism on the issues

(3) she perpetuated the lies and myths about being the “reform ticket” so she furnished grist for the mill

(4) she didn’t endear herself to the media (other than the right-wing radio rant-jockeys and FoxSnooze, I suppose)

(5) she did absolutely nothing to counter the obvious fact that she is an inexperienced political opportunist

The door is now open to dispense all the chatter about her personal life and family issues. She is fatally vulnerable on the issues. Period.
