Suprisingly, one of the few areas of the stated policy differences between McCain and Obama is that John wants to build 45 Nuclear (or is it Nukuler) power plants. As if we can irradiate ourselves out of our dependency on oil. I've been a long-time proponent of Nuclear power, but I've watched WPPSS completely mess things up by trying to build 5 completely different plant design simultaneously. The only way it could work, is to basically have the French come build the plants, and it's still not terribly economically viable electricity generation. Besides, as far as I understand it, we are not particularly strapped for electricity capacity, unless the oil companies let the car companies make electric cars, that is. Anyway... I find it hard to believe that JSM is out there trying to differentiate himself by taking this stance. I rarely hear it mentioned. If the Party of “Family Values” wishes to put their V.P.’s family up on a stage before the entire world, why should they be allowed to cry, “Please don’t judge us for our family’s values”?
