The look on Ms. Stockman's face during that clip is telling. She can't hide the recognition after that bund rally passing as a convention that this is no longer her party. The Palin nomination drives home the fact that this mutation of the Republican Party has withered to the point that it cannot nominate a pro choice candidate for national office and cannot put forth a ticket that does not include at least one flaming fundy.

After McCain's "careful" decision to put Palin on the ticket, he clearly has shown that he doesn't think about "much" very much.

Of course John McCain doesn't care about pro choice women. His campaign is lying about his position to win the election. Any pro choice women who votes for him is stupid. I recall seeing a so called "security mom" who worked as a teacher on TV who voted for Bush. I'm sure she's voting for Obama this time after she finally realized that Republicans are not only anti teacher, but anti union and anti high paying jobs.

Their plan is simple; create two groups of people one rich and one poor and the rich will rule the poor forever. Why do you think they continually vote to lower taxes on the richest people in the country. Not because they need the money, but to take it away from the poor who need health care, schools, jobs, and the necessities of life. The rich doen't have to worry about hospital bills, phone bills, heating bills, grocery bill, they just have the accountant pay them on time.

All of the hard working white males who vote Republican are basically hurting their own families, based on a false allegence to the Republican party. They aren't welcome at the plant managers estate or country club, but they vote to keep him and his friend rich by voting Republican. I've worked with guy in my union vote blindly vote for Republicans even though the Republicans are anti union. When I try to point out the irony in this voting habits, they get upset and don't want to listen. My point to them is simple; They are getting paid $30.00 an hour because we are union and the Republicans don't want them to make that kind of money because they hate unions.

Now what kind of sense does it make to vote for a party that is trying to cut your pay and benefits? That's like a black man voting to elect a known member of the Klan. That's how foolish it is for these guys to vote Republican. They are easily fools and refuse to investigate the facts and positions of the Republican party so they help the very people who are most against them making a living wage with benefits. Now I ask you? Does that make any sense? My example is true, and I'm not trying to offended anyone, I love those hard headed guys, because I work with them and we are very very close. I'd do anything to keep them safe at work and I have pointed out things that prevented accidents that could have seriously hurt or killed one of us.

I just wish they would listen to me and check of the positions of the two parties. If they did they wouldn't ever vote for the people who are trying to take food out of our families mouths.

Choice exists inside the GOP?

All I've seen is that one neocon who will choose another neocon as their running mate. Fiscal conservative. Evangelical conservative. Pro-Life. Anti-Gay. Pro Energy, climate change is because of the sun, moon and whatever denialists can think of to stump science. Kick education to the curb.

Since this is what one is fighting against by staying a Republican, it may be 100 years until these policies change over towards...a more enlightened view.

As Stewart brought up on TDS, they're pushing 'the right choice' was made by the teen, but want to keep everyone else's daughter from being able to make that choice. They want to trumpet keeping gov't out of our lives, but they constantly attempt to put it in. I guess McCain's willing to underpay his VP until she gets the education and training to deserve equal pay.

I saw that poster last night, "Mavrick". It still cracks me up. No wonder he talked so much about 'edukashun'.

Palen claims that they broke the 18 million glass ceiling and are now the agents for real womens rights.

I have a feeling that I will scream long and loud the next time I hear about how "historic" Palin's nomination is or how she has "broken the glass ceiling".

This was said over and over again during the Republican convention, and apparently everyone there had forgotten about Geraldine Ferraro. Palin hasn't done anthing "historic" that Ferraro didn't already do in 1984 (getting on a major party ticket as the veep nominee), and she won't have broken any glass ceiling until she actually gets elected.

And the idea of Palin and her ilk acting as agents for real women's rights is too laughable for comment.

I have a feeling that I will scream long and loud the next time I hear about how “historic” Palin’s nomination is or how she has “broken the glass ceiling”.

This was said over and over again during the Republican convention, and apparently everyone there had forgotten about Geraldine Ferraro. Palin hasn’t done anthing “historic” that Ferraro didn’t already do in 1984 (getting on a major party ticket as the veep nominee), and she won’t have broken any glass ceiling until she actually gets elected.

And the idea of Palin and her ilk acting as agents for real women’s rights is too laughable for comment.

They could also increase it if they suddenly became fiscally responsible but that ain't going to happen either......there is a long list to add to what you say.

misshusseinmolly Says:
How any woman can vote for McCain is beyond me. Oh wait — Sarah Palin will no doubt vote for him. She has a job where the pay is set regardless of gender. But I wonder how she would feel if her pay as Governor of Alaska was significantly less than her male predecessor’s simply because she was a woman?

Palen claims that they broke the 18 million glass ceiling and are now the agents for real womens rights.

Their dupicity knows no bounds.

More "work" to do? Even the so-called 'moderate' Pukes are delusional. That bint Palin wants to forbid birth-control. What's it gonna take to drive these stupid phuquing Pukes to the realization that they're actually dangerously oblivious to anything resembling reality?
Just renounce the party, you vapid, dismal piece of shit. Pukes for Choice? Just gives cover to the rest of the feculent lot.

I suppose it's better to have a president who doesn't care about women's issues and will ignore them completely, than a president who cares very deeply about taking women's rights away from them.

Still, even a leader with blinders on can be harmful -- as we've seen from McCain's position on the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act.

On the prospects of McCain overturning Roe v. Wade, Stockman said, “The only thing that gives me comfort is that Democrats are going to win the Senate.”

What difference does she think that will make. This will be won or lost in the supreme court.....if mccain gets to appoint, guess who it will be.
