Pure and simple. True personal religious belief is not something that can be brought by coercion or law. It seems to me that this election is all about others trying to make inroads with their own religious ideals through government legislation. Abortion and reproductive rights, sex education, God wants a pipeline or God wants a war, Creationism versus Evolution in the classroom, anti-gay rights legislation… I wish the Republicans would quit trying to bonk us over the head with some version of “God’s will” all the time.
