POLICY ? MCCAIN WOULD BE A FOOL TO TALK ABOUT POLICY !

A recent poll was taken where those who cared about issues were more likely to vote Obama and those who voted on personality would vote McCain.

So we went from a frat boy who barely made it through school to a guy who graduated almost last in his class in the military academy (even though his father was high up in the military and they supposedly always held scintillating conversations over the dinner table).

So may I nominate the sure winner for the next election is John Belushi for President ?

Senator Barack Obama accused his Republican rivals on Wednesday of stirring “phony outrage” over a colloquial comment he made one day earlier about putting “lipstick on a pig,” which he said was a clear reference to Senator John McCain’s policies not a derogatory slur against his running-mate.

“Enough!” Mr. Obama said, interrupting a speech on education to address the latest controversy in the heated presidential campaign. “I don’t care what they say about me, but I love this country too much to let them take over another election with lies and phony outrage and swift boat politics. Enough is enough.”

misshusseinmolly Says:

I don’t expect McCain to talk about Iraq policy — or ANY policy — any more than he absolutely has to. He knows that his only hope is to run as “notObama”, and he’s going to attack Obama for all it’s worth, lying as much as necessary, and hoping that Americans are dumb enough to get suckered in again.

Indeed. They should just run with the motto: "We're regular white people, just like you!"

Virtually every American atheist blogger I know has been writing about Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, McSame's VP selection. Heck, a Christian blogger even compiled many atheist reactions to Palin! Initially, it appeared that she was grossly unqualified for the job and that her selection was insulting to women. As more details emerged about Palin, it became clear that she was far worse than unqualified. If you are an atheist, agnostic, secular humanist, freethinker, or other member of the reality-based community eligible to vote in the U.S. election, you owe it to yourself and your country to vote against the McSame/Palin ticket. Even if you like McSame for some inexplicable reason, he age and health make Palin's proximity to the presidency an unacceptable risk.

Other than voting against her, what else can you do? First, if Sarah Palin does not speak for you, join me in signing this letter from People for the American Way saying so. Next, keep blogging about her and what she would mean for America. Much has been made about how Palin will help rally the Christian extremist base around McSame. Well, Palin can do that for us too - she has already convinced me that this election is far more important than I previously realized.

To Whom It May Concern:

During her speech in St. Paul on Wednesday night, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin purported to speak for women, small town residents, and everyone who isn’t a member of the “Washington elite.”

Sarah Palin is an intelligent, well spoken woman, but it must be made clear:

We don’t want a country in which women who are raped are refused the right to choose abortion.

We don’t want a country in which religious dogma is taught in public school science class.

We don’t want a country where gay and lesbian citizens are discriminated against.

We don’t want a country where books are banned from public libraries.

America is strongest when we are united, not divided. When our Constitutional liberties are respected. When our politicians rely on ideas and opinions instead of distortions and attacks. The challenges we face are too big to be reduced to name-calling.

Sarah Palin doesn’t speak for us.

Sincerely,

The difference in how FoxSnooze and CNN are covering Obama today. FoxSnooze airs three minutes of his comments about the phony outrage over the "lipstick on a pig" baloney; then they cut to a bunch of their idiot talking heads about whether he put the issue to rest (of course, by doing so, they are keeping the matter alive so their fair-haired boy McNumbNuts doesn't have to talk about issues).

CNN, on the other hand, is still airing Obama's comments as he is presenting his policies and plans.

I am left to conclude that FoxSnooze is the primary culprit in the media that is aiding and abetting the whiny, dishonest, intellectually-bankrupt McNumbNuts campaign.

The irony of McCain's 'expertise' in running the country is that his experience in Viet Nam would be precisely the same. America will be going down in flames under his leadership.
