At troop deployment ceremony, Palin links 9/11 to Iraq.
Earlier today, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin linked the Iraq war to the attacks of September 11, 2001, “telling an Iraq-bound brigade of soldiers that included her son that they would ‘defend the innocent from the enemies who planned and carried out and rejoiced in the death of thousands of Americans.’” “America can never go back to that false sense of security that came before September 11, 2001,” said Palin at the deployment ceremony. Watch it:
As the Washington Post’s Anne Kornblut points out, “The idea that Iraq shared responsibility with al-Qaeda for the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, once promoted by Bush administration officials, has since been rejected even by the president himself.”

TODAY, there’s still a AQ detachment in Iraq.
Her speech was apparently badly misleading, but she did not explicitly link the 9/11 terror to Saddam’s Iraq with that quote.
Seriously; the Republicans tell a lot of nonsense, but copying that just 180° around is not better. Some reports and many comments here are too extreme and misinterpret only to get the worst possible result.

The foot soldiers of AQ Iraq are new, but the leadership of AQ Iraq was already in AQ in 2001. The same pattern is true for the whole AQ today, including whatever of AQ is today in Pakistan.
And of course was the entire Iraq war BS, the ‘reasons’ weren’t reasons at all, even before they were exposed as lies.
That doesn’t change the fact that she had a misleading instead of flat-out wrong speech.

The status of chile today is dirt poor largely ,except for a few lighter skinned families with the right names . Other than perhaps parts of Santiago ( los condes) most citizens can only get a hot shower if they time it perfectly because their on demand water heaters don’t cope well with the changes in water pressure during periods of demand , that is when there is water pressure .
