The status of chile today is dirt poor largely ,except for a few lighter skinned families with the right names . Other than perhaps parts of Santiago ( los condes) most citizens can only get a hot shower if they time it perfectly because their on demand water heaters don’t cope well with the changes in water pressure during periods of demand , that is when there is water pressure .
Most people there are very poor and by the way every dictator in central and south america was helped into power and aided by the CIA , much as Saddam Hussein was the expence of their people ,inorder to provide “American corporations cheap labor and resources .
You don’t get around much do you .
