In July, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) appeared on Larry King’s CNN show and promised that as soon as he chose his vice presidential running mate, he would bring him or her on the show for an interview. However, earlier this month, McCain campaign officials were so furious over CNN reporter Campbell Brown’s tough interview with spokesman Tucker Bounds that they canceled McCain’s appearance with King. Rush PR News reports that the interview how now been rescheduled and will be taking place tonight, and will include Palin:

Ohhhh goodie, goodie, goodie, goodie!!!!!!!!!
**clapping & evil laugh**
September 17th, 2008 at 2:22 pmI thought McCon was playing payback with Larry. Oh, how the fickle change their mind...
September 17th, 2008 at 2:23 pmA double dose of mendacity. Distraction, distraction, distraction. This will be the campaign equivalent of three card monty--don't look under the shells but straight in their eyes to find that pea.
September 17th, 2008 at 2:25 pmFRICK AND FRACK TOGETHER AGAIN....HOW NICE. Does Palin need grandaddy with her...Is McCain afraid King might get some backstage...lol.
September 17th, 2008 at 2:25 pmLarry King, Hardball Interviewer.
Sigh....
September 17th, 2008 at 2:27 pmWhat a joke. Almost as bad as appearing on Hannity.
September 17th, 2008 at 2:28 pmThe couple is more like George Burns and Gracie Allen.
September 17th, 2008 at 2:29 pmHiding behind a soft baller
September 17th, 2008 at 2:30 pmdamage control before they fall too far down in the polls. bwahahahahahahaha.....
September 17th, 2008 at 2:30 pmI wonder if King will ask McCain why he is against a bill that would help protect children from child molesters.
McCain's own ad took Obama to task for his support of that bill.
Obviously McCain is pro-molestation. Will King ask him to explain that?
September 17th, 2008 at 2:30 pmMcCain and Palin to appear on Larry King Live tonight.
- - Will there be a chair for Joe Lieberman? Between Palin and McCain?
September 17th, 2008 at 2:31 pmhowever, the interview will now be taking place tonight, and will include Palin
. . . however, the interview will now be taking place tonight, and will include McNumbNuts. There -- fixed it for you. Don't ever again forget who has top billing on this Ticket to Nowhere.
Unstable/Unable 2008
September 17th, 2008 at 2:31 pmHere's a question: As President, late one night, your chief of staff tells you, "Fidel is dead and Raul is on the phone and wants to open negotiations!" What do you say? What do you do? How do you turn this into a win-win opportunity for all?
September 17th, 2008 at 2:31 pmHere’s a question: As President, late one night, your chief of staff tells you, “Fidel is dead and Raul is on the phone and wants to open negotiations!” What do you say? What do you do? How do you turn this into a win-win opportunity for all?
Answers:
McNumbNuts -- "Fidel who? Raul who?"
Failin' Palin -- "Cuba? Can you see it from Alaska? If not, just tell him to call back in the morning."
September 17th, 2008 at 2:34 pmBrought to you in glittering HD PanderVision...
*rimshot*
September 17th, 2008 at 2:34 pmI believe Palin's novelty will wear off and her idiocy shine when Biden shreds her at the VP debate
September 17th, 2008 at 2:37 pmGuido the Loving OBGYN Says:
Gonna be weird.
you can say that again. I'm wondering if they will be appearing in studio or via satellite. Also, will McCain's "itchy" ring-finger be back in effect? I'm sure the smell of rancid moose, tanning oil, and Alaskan crude that probably wafts off of Palin is intoxicating to an old degenerate like McLame.
September 17th, 2008 at 2:37 pmJust ask McCain are you pro torture? then why did you....
Just ask McCain are you pro child predators? Then why did you...
Just ask McCain if he voted for the deregulation of our financial industry...for repeal of the Glass Seagal Act?
September 17th, 2008 at 2:38 pmFolks, this is really serious!! I know we have been making a mockery of McCain and Palin for weeks, and I have been a prt of that.
As I sit back and continue to read, about this, about access to the media, a CNN headline that Palin takes first question from reporter, I'm getting really scared. This is a serious issue!!!! This person was put on an election campaign ticket to be 2nd in charge of the US, and we're joking about her first interviews??? When are the MSM and the American people going to wake the f&$# up and see what this is. It is a clear and absolute mockery of our political system, of Washington and of the American people. It is a campaign telling us that we are all too stupid to make up our minds.
The thought that people are enamored with her and think she will make a great leader is ludacris, absolutely stunning.
September 17th, 2008 at 2:41 pmWill Mrs. Palin sit on McCain's lap and will you see the puppet strings?
Reminds me of that visual of Richard Gere with Rene Zellweger in the movie, Chicago, where Flynn and Roxie are manipulating the media... ... just stay on message, dearie, just stay on message.
September 17th, 2008 at 2:43 pm.
So Johnny McCain't gonna let Sarah appear alone?
.
September 17th, 2008 at 2:43 pmWill it be live or pre recorded?
Will they take viewer questions via phone calls and emails?
September 17th, 2008 at 2:45 pmi am grateful to those who have the stomach to watch this and let us know how it goes. i cant stand the sight of either of those liars.

Calm down Blade - easy...can I ask you why you are so scared of this interview? Has McCain proven he can a whole interview - crap, an entire soundbite - without lying or flip-flopping? Did Palin really impress people with her Gibson interview? What makes you think these two idiots can equal more than the sum of their parts on LKL? Are you being sarcastic here or what?

The Larry King/CNN website allows you to submit questions, but who knows if they'll take anything that could be perceived as antagonistic or not showing proper deference to these two mopes.
September 17th, 2008 at 2:49 pmCheck 'em for wires, Larry, check 'em for wires.
Just saying...
PEACE
September 17th, 2008 at 2:50 pmAs I sit back and continue to read, about this, about access to the media, a CNN headline that Palin takes first question from reporter, I’m getting really scared.
Blade, I don't mean to pick on you, but reading this aloud, with, all, the pauses, necessary, for your, commas...it's pretty hilarious.
September 17th, 2008 at 2:50 pmMaybe Larry King will ask the really tough questions like how do you make Moose Burger Pie.
For cripes sake.
This country is going down the toilet, and this damn Traveling Dog and Pony show is all smoke and mirrors.
Why is Pallid resonating with Women? I have to laugh. Their motto: "Country first".
As the country goes down in flames these 2 people are Charlatans -- masquarading as caring for the average person.
People need to dig down deep into Pallid's scary scary religion. She's a tool folks. A dangerous tool -- to attract the Christian Right Voting Block.
I'm scared.
September 17th, 2008 at 2:50 pmWill they ad the Obama gave money to the PLO lie to their already long list of fabrications?
McCon-Pullin' "Fabric "08 America"

September 17th, 2008 at 2:54 pmRemind you of anything? Hint: George Bush could not go before Fitzgerald without Dick Cheney along. Sarah Palin = George Bush. She is the same incurious dufus as he and the GOP is trying to repackage this disaster as a gun-toting, lipstick-wearing, serial-lying mom.
September 17th, 2008 at 2:54 pmKay -
Why is Pallid resonating with Women?
Is she? Where?
I think being scared is the last thing we should do. The truth is on OUR side, and to be afraid of these liars only emboldens their effect on people who may not be well informed about the truth behind the candidates because Progressives are projecting fear, which to the informed comes off as weakness, which doesn't necessarily "sell" the idea of Progressive change.
September 17th, 2008 at 2:54 pmSo who's gonna be the primary sponsor of this circle jerk on CNN tonight -- Viagra, Depends, or Moosehead Ale?
September 17th, 2008 at 2:54 pmI'm scared -- not for myself. But, that people are buying into this whole load of crap...
September 17th, 2008 at 2:56 pmSubmit your questions here...
http://www.cnn.com/feedback/forms/form5.lkl.html
Larry Eight-Wives probably won't ask our questions, but it doesn't hurt to try!
September 17th, 2008 at 2:57 pmKay Says: Maybe Larry King will ask the really tough questions like how do you make Moose Burger Pie.
Kay: unnecessary question... (ok, I used The Googles):
Moose Pie
September 17th, 2008 at 2:57 pm- 1 1/2 lb moose steak, cubed
- 1/3 - 1/2 c. flour
- 1 md onion, chopped
- 1 Clove minced garlic
- 3 tb oil
- 2 c water
- 2 tb worcestershire sauce
- 1 ts marjoram
- 1 ts thyme
- 1 ts celery seed
- 1 ts salt
- 1/2 ts pepper
- Bay leaf
- Diced potatoes and carrots
- Frozen peas or green beans
- Pie crust
Shake cubed steak in plastic bag with flour, a few cubes at a time. Brown moose and onions and garlic in heated oil, until Moose is brown. Add water, herbs, Worcestershire sauce, salt and peppers. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer 1 1/2 hours. Add potatoes and carrots, cook approximately 30 to 45 minutes longer. Add peas. Pour into pie pan. Cover with pie crust, flute edge, cut slits in top. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until crust is nicely browned.
Didn't McStain invent the "Mooseberry", too?
September 17th, 2008 at 2:58 pmWho's dependent upon whom in this scenario? I suspect McCain cannot appear without Palin because he needs a distracting prop, and Palin can't appear without McCain because she needs somebody to feed her her lines (not that McCain is the best choice for that job).
These two have morphed into a rather bizarre symbiotic relationship where neither seems to be able to survive without the other.
September 17th, 2008 at 2:58 pmHeckle and Jeckle , appearing on Larry King Live tonight.....
September 17th, 2008 at 2:59 pmPalin is the new Lieberman/Graham. (snickers) Sorry Joe, Lindsey. You are no longer worthy.
September 17th, 2008 at 2:59 pmKay Says:
I’m scared — not for myself. But, that people are buying into this whole load of crap…
Fair enough, but I personally think that being scared is just the absolute wrong approach to that problem.
Maybe I'm just splitting semantic hairs here, but we need to keep telling EVERYONE we know the multitude of lies these two cretins have perpetrated.
We need to be confident that this time, the TRUTH will resonate with people.
"Being scared" is unfortunately, the current "branding" for Progressives and we can't fall into that this election. We need to stay confident in the power of Truth and keep on speaking Truth to Power.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:01 pmSomebody looked under Larry King's desk, saw the duffel bag full of hardballs and told McIIIrd and Palienation.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:02 pmTweedster,
I agree with you wholeheartedly :)
September 17th, 2008 at 3:03 pmOne thing,
I thing Obama and Biden need to get a little tougher.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:04 pmI can't wait for the debates.
oops. I think. (last post)
September 17th, 2008 at 3:04 pmwhy did they cancel?
September 17th, 2008 at 3:05 pmKay, Larry asked a McIIIrd spokesidiot a tough question.
Those are supposed to be off limits..Didn't you get the McIIIrd StraightTalkMemo?
September 17th, 2008 at 3:06 pmUpdateThinkProgress has spoken with CNN staffers who said that reports that McCain and Palin are appearing on King tonight are not true.
I guess Palin hasn't had time to memorize all her lines yet.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:11 pmWas this a cancellation, or a false report from Rush PR News?
Not that it matters -- the past couple of days have been such a disaster for the McCain campaign that they probably want to lay low and regroup before putting themselves on display again.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:12 pmI guess they could get their Edgar Bergen & Charlie McCarthy act together (of course, which is which, is anybodys guess--)
September 17th, 2008 at 3:13 pmUpdate ThinkProgress has spoken with CNN staffers who said that reports that McCain and Palin are appearing on King tonight are not true.
They're not done shackling Carly Fiorina yet..........
September 17th, 2008 at 3:13 pmobviously I meant they could not get from #51
September 17th, 2008 at 3:14 pmWell, well. I submitted my question to Larry and now it has zero chance of being asked. Not a surprise...
September 17th, 2008 at 3:15 pmKay Says:
One thing,

I can’t wait for the debates.
They have turned up the heat this week. Depending on where you live you'll be seeing more Obama ads that attack McCain's economic idiocy and his lying campaign.
I'm up in Vermont, so I'm sure our 3 electoral votes AND the fact that Obama will carry this state (and region) by wide margins means that we haven't been saturated, but a couple of spots have been shown on the network affiliates up here.
Obama's campaign coffers are still very full and I think they are playing it right. Let McCain and Palin keep on playing dirty politics and lying and as the debates and the election approach turn up the heat. They have started to do that and I think it will begin to crescendo once the debates start.
When people seriously take a look at the candidates side by side as they discuss issues, the gap between Obama and McCain will begin to chasm and Obama can then start really flooding battle ground states with campaign cash and create separation going into November.
It won't be as close as polls indicate.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:18 pmI guess they couldn't get their Edgar Bergen & Charlie McCarthy act together (of course, which is which, is anybodys guess–)
September 17th, 2008 at 3:19 pmI'm glad I'm in a blue state, too: Massachusetts!
September 17th, 2008 at 3:21 pmKay Says:
why did they cancel?
They are the ones that are scared. And they should be.
They've got NOTHING going for them, and the fringe morons/bigots/fundies are not going to be enough to close the gap enough to make an attempt at stealing the election plausible in the least.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:23 pmTweedster Says:

Kay Says:

Sometimes I wished I lived in a Red State, I hear they get more pork from the government than Blue States do. Those welfare loving GOOPers...
September 17th, 2008 at 3:25 pmMeant to say, they canceled.
If the LKL site was allowing viewers to submit questions, then it was NOT a rumor, just a last minute crap out by McCain camp.

For some reason I think the McCain campaign simply floated this out there, took a gander at the response (probably a huuuuuge amount of questions submitted that weren't pro-LIAR) and then decided to pull the plug.
They will get obliterated in the debates - I mean, they can't even square off with coddling reporters, let alone the other candidates.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:27 pmSomeone needs to tell this to CNN. Their web site still says this is happening tonight.
http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/larry.king.live/
September 17th, 2008 at 3:34 pmIt sure will be nice to have a president that I can actually respect.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:46 pmIt looks like the topic of tonight, not the actual guests. They'll have the usual smattering of talking heads prognosticatiing, even competing to get their side's talking points out front.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:47 pmDamn. I was hoping for a comedy YouTube....
September 17th, 2008 at 3:52 pmThat's because the RNC has made the list of soft ball questions that will be asked and Larry will of course not go off course with their commands.
Larry: Why do you think Obama is so unpatriotic?
McGonnaDieSoon: Because he's a mooslum and I'm a Pow who loves America.
Caribou Nazi Barbie: Because I can see Russia from Alaska, guys and gals.
September 17th, 2008 at 3:58 pmIt's OK -- I'd rather watch Rachel anyway.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:01 pmThis is a preview of what a McCain/Palin presidency will be like. They will hide inside a bubble just like George W. Bush. They will not be held accountable. They will repeat lies over and over until they become the truth.
The media should be all over this. What does this say about the war hero and the reformer? Barack Obama had the balls to be interviewed by Bill O'Reilly. Barack Obama was under the media microscope for 8 months and Palin gets grilled for two days and they cut and run from the media.
If McCain/Palin cannot handle tough and legitimate questions from the media are we expected to believe they are going to be able to handle the leaders of Russia, Iran, Syria, China?
September 17th, 2008 at 4:07 pmHow are they going to be able to handle the pressures of fixing the economy? Sorry McCain and Palin are a very sad and dangerous joke.
Here's the question I just sent -
Will McCain and Palin continue to interfere with the ethics investigation in Alaska or will McCain pull his lawyers and have Palin fully co-operate with it?
September 17th, 2008 at 4:12 pmMcCain's medications must not be kicking in today.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:16 pmUPDATE: ThinkProgress has spoken with CNN staffers who said that reports that McCain and Palin are appearing on King tonight are not true.
I couldn't imagine the handlers allowing these two to speak with Larry King or to be interviewed by anyone at this point with our crashing economy.
Could the timing of massive corporate bankruptcies be any better? If there is any good to be found out of this, it would be a strong foot in the door for an Obama presidency which may save this country in the long run.
September 17th, 2008 at 4:34 pmLarry King: So Sara, did you ever shoot a beaver? Heh heh heh.
Intercourse Pa. Go.
September 17th, 2008 at 5:46 pmJust saw an ad on CNN, said McCain and Sarah on Larry King tonight. Go figure.
September 17th, 2008 at 7:30 pmIn another words, I did my homework, placed calls, check facts and then the story changed. And it keeps changing.
Very frustrating.
