Inhofe runs campaign attack ad with ‘anti-gay overtones.’

Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK), who is up for re-election this year, is running a campaign attack ad that “contains anti-gay overtones, showing a wedding cake topped by two plastic grooms and a photo of [his opponent Democrat Andrew] Rice as a young man, curly haired and wearing a leather jacket.” Watch it:

Inhofe’s office has said he “does not hire openly gay staffers ‘due to the possibility of a conflict of agenda.’” Standing before a large photograph of his family on the Senate floor in 2006, Inhofe proudly declared that “in the recorded history of our family, we’ve never had a divorce or any kind of homosexual relationship.”

Add to that you’ve also never had intelligence or tolerance included in your diseased family tree , jackass……….

  5. liberal traitor says:

It’s all about the phrasing. Really.

Saying he’s FOR gay marriage RIGHTS doesn’t sound as bad as saying he’s AGAINST so-called traditional marriage.

Of course, being FOR gay rights and marriage (and therefore EQUALITY) does not mean he’s AGAINST heterosexual rights and marriage.

OH NOES!!! Andrew Rice is gonna make everyone get Gay Married!!! RUN!!! TERROR!!! FEAR!!!

OH NOES!!! Andrew Rice once wore a leather jacket and stood on a street corner! He’s out of touch! Doesn’t he know that Pea Coats are in and Leather is out?

  6. Bluppo says:

I don’t know why any homosexuals would even bother applying for jobs since we’re all so busy recruiting and pushing our “agenda” on everyone… where would we ever find the time to work?

Too bad. It’s the heterosexuals having out of wedlock pregnancies, incest and abortions.

  9. scytherius says:

Ya can’t just blame him. Amerika puts these people in office. We are the most backward, bigoted Western Society. And if you read any of the overseas news, it is clearly stated that if we elect McCain/Palin the world is going to move on without us and marginalize us. We have become way to dangerous to the rest of the world and in electing McCain we will only cement our stupidity in history. Of course, I have no problem with the world turning against us. it just means this nation collapses sooner and we can start over.

    Bluppo,
So you admit it then. That’s very brave of you. As you know, admitting you have a problem is the first step on the road to recovery. Now, the healing can begin since we all know that gayness is a curable mental disorder…or is it a choice? A choice that people make even though it means they are second class citizens?

I simply never know which one it is with these guys. Is it a choice or a mental disorder? It can’t be both.

Just for the record, this post is full of da snark.

Does anybody have a copy of the Manifesto of the Gay Agenda? There must be one right? I mean, since the Gay Agenda is so powerful and organized in its plan to destroy America (and only America, for some reason), there must be some kind of coherent set of action items, talking points, tenets, something…Right?

    No?

I would also venture a guess that, in the recorded history of his family, no one has married a relative more distant than first cousin, either.

We should thank him for his family’s service to our country. They all have come from the shallow end of the gene pool . . . but at least they are keeping it to themselves.

I went to do a little research about how many federal dollars Oklahoma receives from the federal government for each dollar it pays in. Take a look at this chart of all 50 states:

    http://www.taxfoundation.org/research/show/266.html

The pattern that emerges is that the “red” states rank far higher in taking more than they contribute, while the “blue” states contribute more than they receive.

Oklahoma gets $1.36 for each dollar contributed. Welfare state?

  34. misshusseinmolly says:

Inhofe claiming that never in his family has there been a homosexual relationship kind of reminds me of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad saying, “We don’t have homosexuals like in your country.”

I assume that Inhofe doesn’t kill family members for being gay as they do in some countries, so it’s likely that he’ll just turn a blind eye when one of his 20 kids/grandkids finally gets the courage to admit that their same-sex “roommate” is really a partner.

  35. nofltwlt says:

The most distasteful thing about Inhofe is that he is so ignorant. Oklahomans should be ashamed of themselves if they fail to terminate the political career of this whacko.

  36. Wayne says:

Inhofe is running a “gay” attack ad against a man who is married and has 2 sons? Rice’s brother also was a victim of the 9/11 attacks, BTW.

Maybe Inhofe is trying to smear Rice as being gay because he produced a documentary in grad school From Ashes about the AIDS epidemic in India.

Inhofe is one stupid, dumba$$ Republican, but I am being redundant.

Now, the great debate: Born ignorant, intolerant and hateful – or is this a Lifestyle Choice on Inhofe’s part?

(Doesn’t his declaration of “never had a divorce or any kind of homosexual relationship” smack a bit of Gary Hary’s posturing before the Donna Rice news broke?)

  39. DRxJ says:

Standing before a large photograph of his family on the Senate floor in 2006, Inhofe proudly declared that “in the recorded history of our family, we’ve never had a divorce or any kind of homosexual relationship.”

    Recorded history?

I guess that means uncle “Bob’s” inappropriate touching of little “Timmy” does not count because he was never prosecuted.
And “Steve’s” heated affair with “Tiffany”, but still remains married to “Suzy”, albiet a miserable marriage.
And what about “Wanda’s” premiscious lifestyle, with more than a dozen partners, before she turned 17.
And Mary Jo’s a mother of 3, but ain’t never been married.
And don’t get me started on “Billy’s” propensity to blow up farm animals.

All families have skeletons in their closet, dimwit!
Hell, some would be considered a cemetary.

And if I had a brother (I don’t), who announced that he was gay, I would love him just the same.
    I have a feeling numbnutz Inhofe wouldn’t!

    What inhofe said about WMD:

There’s not one person on this panel who would tell you unequivocally that he doesn’t have the missile means now, or is nearly getting the missile means to deliver a weapon of mass destruction. And I for one am not willing to wait for that to happen.”–Jim Inhofe on Meet The Press, 2002)

    inhofe:

Voted NO on adding 2 to 4 million children to SCHIP eligibility.

Voted NO on requiring negotiated Rx prices for Medicare part D.

Voted YES on limiting medical liability lawsuits to $250,000.

Voted NO on negotiating bulk purchases for Medicare prescription drug.

Voted NO on allowing patients to sue HMOs & collect punitive damages

Voted NO on including prescription drugs under Medicare

Voted NO on increasing tobacco restrictions

Rated 0% by APHA, indicating a anti-public health voting record(The American Public Health Association (APHA))

There’s more but you get the idea. A real piece of shit that says he represents Americans when he is really just doing big business’s bidding.

    ________________________________________________________

Two years ago, in the midterm congressional elections, the Republican challenger to our Democratic incumbent Congressman made many insinuations that the incumbent, Brad Miller, was gay. Never mind that Miller and his wife were happily married and had been for some time. The challenger’s “evidence” was that Miller and his wife had no children. I suppose this would mean that Elizabeth Dole (who’s running for re-election to her NC senate seat this year) is also gay, since she has no children either (never mind that she’s married to a guy who enjoys the benefits of Viagra).

It seems that if you can paint your opponent as gay or Muslim (I assume you get mondo points if you can successfully accuse him/her of being both), you will win votes. There is nothing wrong with being gay, and there’s nothing wrong with being Muslim, but in our culture both those labels are still toxic. I hope one day they will not be.
