Know that McPalin will jump all over this as another instance of run-away judges rewriting the law. Problem is that the judge was correct, like it or not, because the law didn't address this situation. If it isn't written right, it's going to be allowing things not intended

If McCain wins the election, he'll have David Copperfield make the Constitution disappear. Then reappear in a nice, toasty bonfire.

He can't have judges ruling through "their" interpretations of rule & law!

Cool.

You can't treat people as less than human, simply because you don't understand them.

Well, you can. But you can't get away with it.

Go Diane!

Mr. Evil Says: "Republicans are so afraid of people who just want to be themselves."

Mr. E,

You are so right because the Republican Party is dedicated to the assumption that every party member is in lock-step with every other member of the flock and the herders. In the Democratic Party the reverse is true: most party members belong because they are individuals and not members of any flock, group, cabal, coven, or collection.

Earlier today I made some less than flattering remarks about the Pastor in Sarah Palin's church. This is a bit more civilized.

Most of us treat our politics as we do our religion: our minds are usually made up and converting us is hard to do. That is generally no problem within our religion because all religions, for the most part, have the same objectives in mind: a better life here and in the hereafter. We go to our church on Sunday and listen to the preacher preach to the choir and to us. With politics it is not quite so easy. If we only listen to the preacher as he preaches to the choir we cannot be sure that he has our best interests in mind and he certainly doesn't have the interests of the other party in mind. In our religions the message is usually how we can be better. Unfortunately today, in our politics, the political message is how the opponent is bad, not how the party preaching is good. It behooves us all to attend the other political churches during election time to determine who is really telling the truth. There is no problem listening to a political preacher preaching to his choir as long as you are sure you are not in the wrong pew. Read, research, reason, react, register, and vote for your principles, not the preacher.

I wonder what the mother of Family Values, Sarah Palin, recent Grandmother, has to say about this…

NOW it is correct.

One of the best ongoing sites for all the machinations having to do with Trig, Sarah...Bristol...Willow's child.

Oh the twists. Don't they issue birth certificates up there in Alaska, or is just expected that the birth could be happening in the wild during a moose hunt, and everyone is on the the honor code? Jeeesh, just produce the birth certificate already, how stupid.
