During a speech at the Fraser Institute in Canada last night, a Toronto businessman asked former Bush political adviser Karl Rove “if he thought Sarah Palin would make a good President.” Rove’s response? “I don’t know“:
Last night, he did party spin but said something significant. A Toronto businessman asked him if he thought Sarah Palin would make a good President. “I don’t know,” said Rove.
Rove made headlines earlier this month when he declared that Palin was a “political pick.” Before that, he told the Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza that Palin “was not a governing decision, but a campaign decision.”
Here piggy-piggy-piggy-piggy…
September 24th, 2008 at 1:32 pmGenius has nothing to say?
September 24th, 2008 at 1:32 pm“I don’t know?” Let me fill you in Karl. She wouldn’t. Not even by your standards.
September 24th, 2008 at 1:42 pm“Rove on whether Palin would be ‘a good president’: ‘I don’t know.’”
Oh, wait…I know!
She would SUCK!
September 24th, 2008 at 1:43 pmwho the hell is karl rove to know and understand what a ‘good president’ would mean for this country. a country he is committed to destroy.
September 24th, 2008 at 1:44 pmSince Karl was probably the one who picked Palin for McCain, his failure to “sell” her when given the chance means that even he thinks he looks like an idiot when doing so.
Does anybody else think it’s weird that those Republicans who vocally support Palin tout what an “inspired choice” she is, but nobody says what a “great president” she’d make? Or has everybody forgotten that the ability to be a good president is one of the main qualifications to be vice president?
September 24th, 2008 at 1:44 pmLike Rove cares what is good for this country. Puhlease.
September 24th, 2008 at 1:45 pmWhat the heck is this guy eating? He seems to be fatter with every picture.

loyalty.

September 24th, 2008 at 1:46 pmWhy is this unindicted co-conspirator allowed to come and go as he pleases from this country?? And why isn’t his name on the no fly list?? And why do they call this dufus a genius?? Real Americans want to know. (I could go on forever with these type questions.)
September 24th, 2008 at 1:48 pmKarl Rove telling the truth?
Yet another sign of the Apocalypse.

September 24th, 2008 at 1:49 pmThose in the process of looting every last dime from our treasury are now hoping Obama wins so they can blame all Democrats for the upcoming Depression.
I guess they now think they’ve successfully shredded or electronically deleted everything that could implicate them in their 8 years of crimes.
Hi ho, hi ho, to Paraguay we go!

September 24th, 2008 at 1:54 pmIf Tubby McTreason Rove says that he doesn’t know if Palin would make a good President, then that is a clear indication that the GOP party is in deep trouble. Rove is certainly showing a lack of confidence in the McPain ticket unlike the 2004 election.
September 24th, 2008 at 1:55 pmRest easy, there, shoeless. There’s a simple explanation: KKKarl is lying, as usual.
He knows whether Sarah Palin would make a good president, but he also knows that all his lucrative right-wing speaking engagements would dry up if he admitted that she would suck. Possibly even worse than the Chimpster. After all, look how much more executive experience HE had than Palin.

September 24th, 2008 at 1:59 pmI know!
September 24th, 2008 at 2:01 pmA “I don’t know” probably means NO in Rovespeak. Otherwise it would be a glowing response along the lines “A perfect match”
September 24th, 2008 at 2:02 pmI like the new color lipstick, Mr. Piggy. It matches your conscience, skin color & fat ass.
September 24th, 2008 at 2:05 pmJoe Biden said it all this morning when he declared that for President this Country doesn’t need a “great soldier” (much less a piss-poor Naval Aviator) but a wise leader. For those of you that are history buffs there is a great parallel not too many years ago. Can you imagine where this Country would be if General George Patton had been elected instead of General Dwight Eisenhower? Again consider our recent history with the “great soldier, Mission Accomplished” Chicken George WTF and that wise, draft dodging leader, William Jefferson Clinton. If General Patton was not fit to be President why is failin Palin the CinC of the ALASKA NATIONAL GUARD!! even out of the Wasilla City Jail?
September 24th, 2008 at 2:07 pmKarl Rove’s opinion doesn’t carry any weight. His reputation precedes him and his affirmation of the GOP’s, McCain’s farce of a VP candidate Palin isn’t really all that necessary.
To argue in her defense is tantamount to arguing the earth is flat or that man has no role in climate change. Both concepts, I think, adopted at the 2008 republican convention.
September 24th, 2008 at 2:09 pmWhat’s his opinion of the Bush presidency? We need baseline of measurement here even to consider his statements.
September 24th, 2008 at 2:11 pmPorky lied. He said he didn’t know when – in fact – he bloody well does know. She wouldn’t.
His honest response would have been (right before his head exploded from “truthifying”), “Are you freaking kidding me? The Moose-Whore of Babylon? She couldn’t make a good cup of coffee if it was Sanka!”
September 24th, 2008 at 2:11 pmRowdy of Rove’s opinion: Who gives a flying one!
September 24th, 2008 at 2:17 pmKKKarl knows all about running unqualified candidates for national office. Competence is not an issue. Electability is.
September 24th, 2008 at 2:29 pmIt figures Rove would be invited to speak to the Fraser Institute. They’re birds of a feather.
September 24th, 2008 at 2:37 pmAPEC not OPEC Says:
Here’s another question. What could he possibly have to say that people are willing to pay money for? In Canada.
The Fraser Institute is basically the Canadian version of the AEI. They push for things they call “Economic Freedom”, which to you and I basically means privatization (and free trade etc).
They’re always quoted by those who argue that universal health coverage would be a bad thing. I guess there are some who can’t wait to get their hands on the private health insurance market in Canada. Take any information quoted by them with a bucket of salt.
September 24th, 2008 at 2:42 pmI saw this on the National Security Network website under its Democracy Arsenal section. It was written by Adam Blickstein:
“A major speech in front of the international community. A freewheeling press conference lasting more than an hour. An hour-long, prime time appearance with CNN’s venerable Larry King. All in all, a busy busy press day. So, who allowed themselves to be exposed to the scrupulous press at such an unfettered level? Sarah Palin, a GOP candidate running to hold the second highest office in the United States of America? No, try Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Yes, in total, one of the most vile leaders in the world today yesterday arguably faced more direct media scrutiny with domestic and international press then a person who could theoretically become the most powerful person in America and the world. It’s not only a slap to the face of the American people, but also an indictment of the McCain campaign’s controlling insecurities that they have allowed the press perhaps less access to Palin over an entire month than the direct media scrutiny the detestable President of Iran received in one day.”
Interesting. Wake up, America!!
September 24th, 2008 at 2:53 pmAs much as I want McCain to lose the election, I respect him more than Rove. It’s clear what Rove is doing. McCain snubbed Rove or didn’t heed some extortionary request by Rove and so Rove is going out and gaining leverage by proving he can weaken the McCain campaign. It’s a display of power for some self-serving purpose.
September 24th, 2008 at 2:55 pmArrest ROVE NOW!
September 24th, 2008 at 3:20 pmJoe @ 9 , you have insulted my puppies
September 24th, 2008 at 3:44 pmbetter to compare KKKarl to a maggot

George Will disses McCain.
Somebody is having a bad day.
September 24th, 2008 at 3:53 pmNo, try Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Yes, in total, one of the most vile leaders in the world
well, yes, except that the Iranian president has almost NO power, can lead almost NOTHING (mebbe a parade) in Iran, is totally under the control of the Mullahs, you’d be right…
