As much as I want McCain to lose the election, I respect him more than Rove. It’s clear what Rove is doing. McCain snubbed Rove or didn’t heed some extortionary request by Rove and so Rove is going out and gaining leverage by proving he can weaken the McCain campaign. It’s a display of power for some self-serving purpose.

I saw this on the National Security Network website under its Democracy Arsenal section. It was written by Adam Blickstein:

All in all, a busy busy press day. So, who allowed themselves to be exposed to the scrupulous press at such an unfettered level? Sarah Palin, a GOP candidate running to hold the second highest office in the United States of America? No, try Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Yes, in total, one of the most vile leaders in the world today yesterday arguably faced more direct media scrutiny with domestic and international press then a person who could theoretically become the most powerful person in America and the world. It’s not only a slap to the face of the American people, but also an indictment of the McCain campaign’s controlling insecurities that they have allowed the press perhaps less access to Palin over an entire month than the direct media scrutiny the detestable President of Iran received in one day.”

Here’s another question. What could he possibly have to say that people are willing to pay money for? In Canada.

The Fraser Institute is basically the Canadian version of the AEI. They push for things they call “Economic Freedom”, which to you and I basically means privatization (and free trade etc).

They’re always quoted by those who argue that universal health coverage would be a bad thing. I guess there are some who can’t wait to get their hands on the private health insurance market in Canada. Take any information quoted by them with a bucket of salt.

Karl Rove’s opinion doesn’t carry any weight. His reputation precedes him and his affirmation of the GOP’s, McCain’s farce of a VP candidate Palin isn’t really all that necessary.

To argue in her defense is tantamount to arguing the earth is flat or that man has no role in climate change. Both concepts, I think, adopted at the 2008 republican convention.

Joe Biden said it all this morning when he declared that for President this Country doesn’t need a “great soldier” (much less a piss-poor Naval Aviator) but a wise leader. For those of you that are history buffs there is a great parallel not too many years ago. Can you imagine where this Country would be if General George Patton had been elected instead of General Dwight Eisenhower? Again consider our recent history with the “great soldier, Mission Accomplished” Chicken George WTF and that wise, draft dodging leader, William Jefferson Clinton. If General Patton was not fit to be President why is failin Palin the CinC of the ALASKA NATIONAL GUARD!! even out of the Wasilla City Jail?
