i have a hard time beleiving rove really beleieves stem cell use is a bad thing.. my guess is “it looses votes with our screwball biblehumping base” so ergo its a bad thing…

rove’s stick is pretty much stuck in “campaign” mode even when the people he’s advising are supposed to be governing.

Not surprised Bush was not really into banning ESCR. I don’t believe he’s as religiously motivated as most people think. It’s an act perpetrated by Rove and his other neocon handlers to win over the fundamentalist vote — and Bush was too weak to push back.

Actually , I just read that the McDepends camp is now asking/suggesting that Friday’s debate be moved to the VP debate on Oct 2 , and the VP debate be rescheduled.

I still believe that Bush will issue blanket pardons “for any and all offenses committed” (kind of like Ford’s pardon of Nixon) to both Cheney and Rove right before he leaves office. He’ll sign them the morning of Jan 20, 2009.
