Fiorina excluded from McCain’s high-profile economic meeting.

Yesterday, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) defended his economic adviser Carly Fiorina, saying that he was “proud of her record.” But since her comments on Sept. 16 that neither McCain nor Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) were qualified to run a large corporation, the McCain campaign has pulled Fiorina from her role as a top surrogate:

When Republican presidential hopeful John McCain convened a high-profile roundtable to discuss the financial crisis with 12 economic advisers in New York yesterday, one absence was notable: Carly Fiorina. [...]

After at least six national TV appearances last week, Fiorina, 54, has stopped granting interviews and has spoken at just one campaign event since her Sept. 16 comment that none of the presidential or vice presidential candidates — including the ones she is advising — was qualified to run a major corporation.

Campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds told Bloomberg that Fiorina’s “status with the campaign remains unchanged,” although he refused to comment on her recent absences.

Where is the MSM feeding frenzy that this trainwreck-of-a-campaign should be generating?

Hell, the Howard Dean “yell” got wall-to-wall slamming….what happened to the mythical “liberal media?” Gone the way of the Jabberwock, no doubt…

    Thank you, Dave!

If this is how McCain deals with his staff, imagine how he’ll deal with Iran or Syria…

  5. Alecto says:

But, is BOOOOSH capapble of running the “corporation” known as the U.S.of A> ? I think not. AND THAT IS WHY WE ARE HERE TODAY.

  6. Michael Lafferty says:

I am no fan of Carly Fiorina, but life under the bus is tough.

    Poor Carly…

  7. alphainfinityomega says:

How much you want to bet that McHoover wishes he had Romney on the ticket now instead of Ms. Moose Lips?
Especially after Katy C. ripped Palin a new one yesterday.

The $42 million dollar golden parachuted, Gucci shoe wearing, spy on your own employees, no one can run a company like me girl is gone?

    Carly, we hardly knew you.

I wonder if McKeating called her a trollupy c*nt on her way out the door, or if he saves those coddling remarks for only his wife.

Now Carly’s a POW,(Pushed Outside Woman), locked out of the spotlight & forced to eat only broiled lobster.

Does anyone here today feel sorry for Carly? Not me. You are the company you keep, girl. Now, woman up & go find yourself a job…

    at McDonalds, not McKeatings

  9. Imichael says:

Odd, you would think that McCain would want the input from a former CEO from one of the largest corporations in America on how to handle a economic crisis? It appears that McCain is putting personal feelings over what is best for the country. How come we don’t hear anything on FoxNoise about this.

  12. raynman says:

I hope Ms. Fiorina can survive on her paltry $42,000,000 that she earned for running a company into the ground.

  13. DidHeJustSayThat says:

Classic McCain: He finds out about Fiorina’s background from Vieira and send a team to vet her. Learns she is a prime example of what he has railed against and she’s in seclusion. This is the man’s MO.

  16. Fred says:

mccain is running his campaign like the jerry springer show……Americans love drama….details….not so much.

  17. McWars says:

She needs to be with her fam-, er, severance package during this difficult time.

  18. texaslady says:

Mccain can’t stand to have women around that can out think him, that is why Palin is his choice for V.P.

  19. McWars says:

Speaking of aerial moose hunting, the McCain campaign probably
loves the idea of dispatching helicopters to highly-democratic precincts on election day.

  20. Leftside Annie says:

Must be nice to be handed $42 million dollars when you get fired…

  21. Gregor Samsa says:

Well, it’s not as if Carly belonged in any financial-advising role in the first place. Her execution at the helm of HP was less than stellar.

Couldn’t the McCain camp find a competent female ex-CEO and/or politicians who would agree to get aboard the “straight talk express”? Or maybe that is precisely why they didn’t: They are smart and competent. Unlike Fiorina and Palin.

  22. Anacher Forester says:

McCain’s handlers had to put Carly on ice. She’s a huge negative what with her damage done to HP, her tendency to go off the reservation, her golden parachute…There’s no way that Desperate Johnny can project himself as the populist candidate who holds the solution to our economic catastrophe with Fiorina strapped to his back.
