Why doesn’t Mrs. Greenspan keep her lib bias mouth shut when it comes to this despicable bill that everyone is happy it did not pass?(except Paulsen and Bush. She makes me want to slap her upside the head when she starts with her know-it-all imperial attitude. She’s quite comfortable on the Obama channel. Watch Fox and learn something.

Nothing will change until we demand it. Throwing the bums out and gaining control of our election process (diebold) would be a good first start.

I’m not convinced that Newt is waiting for 2012. I think he may be looking at replacing McCain for 2008 for “health reasons” or whatever other canard proves handy. That’s why he’s polishing his congressional control bona fides by holding the hoop that they jump through.

Replace McCain and hold on to Palin for impeachment insurance, and then we’ll see how authoritarian government is supposed to work, according to the newt. It has the added attraction of not having to appeal to primary voters who would have handed him his hat, but the base will play, intact, especially after the clown college performance McCain has regaled Republicans with to date.

If it’s going to happen, it will have to happen in the next week to two weeks. If it doesn’t happen in that window, it won’t happen.

So, keep your fingers crossed and hope that you don’t have to double down on your revulsion.

Didya notice how quickly the language changed back to “bailout” as it failed? No longer is it being phrased as the “rescue” but “blame for the failure of the bailout.”

I agree the bill was a mess and was happy they shot it down. But to privately finagle against it and then publicly support it is glaringly opportunistic…but what Republican hasn’t been THAT for 25 years? Talk about hurt feelings – wasn’t Newtie the one who shut down the government because Clinton wouldn’t let him in the front of the plane? Maybe the US needs to hit rock bottom before this predatory capitalism bullcrap is hauled off to the dustbin of history.
