Tonight on MSNBC, Countdown aired a video compilation showing the similarity in rhetoric between George W. Bush in 2000 and Sarah Palin in 2008. Keith Olbermann reported that “the people around [Palin] — the top-level campaign staffers crafting her message of change and reform — are almost all from the inner-circle of the same Bush campaigns and administration from which she offers that change.” He concluded, “Small surprise then that even in the very act of claiming her background, her experience qualify her to offer us that change from Bush, she does so sounding almost exactly like Bush.” Watch it:
Progressive Accountability put together its own Bush-Palin video compilation earlier today. Check it out here.
Idiocy is a time-tested and traditional GOP value.
October 3rd, 2008 at 10:22 pmWhat’s the difference between President Bush and Governor Palin?
(lipstick)
October 3rd, 2008 at 10:35 pmNot new’s to me. I made this comment of the similaratie’s in an earlier post my self..Not that any of this crap make’s a diffrence, the only thing all these rat basterd’s have left to do is steal another election and you can bet piss ant palosi and spinless parasite reid would help them out….Gonna sleep with my 357 under my pillow from now on….Blessings
October 3rd, 2008 at 10:35 pmrepug campaign defies gravity.
October 3rd, 2008 at 10:35 pmSince their only goal is to win (they have no interest in governing), they do this because, in their minds, “it works.” Never mind that the results are disastrous for the country, “it works.” These people are as un-American as they come. Friends don’t let friends vote Republican.
October 3rd, 2008 at 10:36 pmThere’s an old saying in Missouri — I know it’s in Alaska, probably in Missouri — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again. No sir-ree-bob. Fur sure.
October 3rd, 2008 at 10:39 pmYou’d think they would get a different plan seeing as how unpopular Bush is – even in a female variation.
October 3rd, 2008 at 10:40 pmThis could be an Obama/Biden campaign ad.
October 3rd, 2008 at 10:42 pmAhh man, I have seen complete idiots making a circus out of democracy. The rupug media think this ok.
plain your closing rehearsed speech was chilling*. We will tell our children and our children’s children what complete asses the repug campaign was. How America was stolen.
And the band played on.
*blood, kill, fear won’t work either dummy.
Thank God for Sen. Obama.
October 3rd, 2008 at 10:46 pmw00t!
i was looking for a suitable thread to call attention to this.
rachel has a great show tonight also…
October 3rd, 2008 at 10:53 pmtoo bad you didn’t include a few more seconds at the beginning,
the explanation of her inclusion in GOPAC…
she’s a good learner…
October 3rd, 2008 at 10:58 pmHas anyone given any thought about Nov. 5th, if indeed the election is obviously stolen? That once again, the exit polls do mot match up with the voting machine numbers. Angry protests in the streets may not be a good idea.
A caller on Thom Hartman mentioned one thing we could do is protest peacefully in huge masses… maybe carry signs asking the world for help.
anyone have any ideas or feedback?
October 3rd, 2008 at 11:14 pmRemember how the repugs pushed she played high school basketball. Big F9cking deal. The repugs acted as if Sen. Obama would challenge her in a friendly game. P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C. Could they really think that basketball in a girly game?
I don’t want no proud war president. I want a thinking, the best of the best, a President just like Sen. Obama.
No more dumb Americans.
October 3rd, 2008 at 11:15 pmShe is not a choice, she is an echo…
October 3rd, 2008 at 11:44 pmKaty@10
rachel has a great show tonight also…
Rachel is one amazing woman. I love how she keeps it right.
October 4th, 2008 at 12:05 amhad, I know they can’t steal this election. Look at the candidates on the repugs side. The Jokers. Even repugs don’t like mcchimpy. Look where we are because of chimpy’s play-around wars.
repugs are dangerously funny.
repugs are ready for a riot. halliburton/
I will not tolerate the repug f0cking with the count again.
Will I know Africans-Americans will be pissed the f4cked off.
Another injustice.
October 4th, 2008 at 12:16 amGame, I agree, they can’t steal this one.
If they could steal an election that has a huge gap going into election day, they would have done so in 2006, so that they could have maintained control of congress for the final two years to finish their agenda, and the looting of the national treasury.
Oh, wait… they didn’t need congressional majority to achieve that last one. The Dems were all too happy to comply.
I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK!
PEACE
October 4th, 2008 at 12:23 amhad enough you need to relax. The thing to remember is the Democratic party did not fight for Florida. If the Democrats aren’t willing to defend their own candidates in elections then it really is pointless to protest. I’m not particularly interested in getting shot for the Democrats, either. But I must say, an American soldier shooting at Americans on American soil will end the Union.
No one needs to relax and I must say I am speechless as you refer to yourself as a bystander not wanting to get involved.
My point was that a plan may be a good idea for this election as how many elections have we had stolen for the past 8 years?
October 4th, 2008 at 12:24 amALERT!
Brian Williams on LETTERMAN says to
call 1 800 NBC NEWS, press 1,
and tell them how much you LOVE
OLBERMAN and MADDOW.
thanks!
October 4th, 2008 at 12:33 am“… they can’t steal this one.”
DON’T SAY THAT!
THEY CAN STEAL IT AND THEY WILL TRY.
DO NOT BECOME COMPLACENT.
.
OVERWHELMING DEMOCRATIC VOTER TURNOUT.
THEY CAN’T STEAL IT IF IT’S NOT CLOSE.
IT CAN’T BE CLOSE.
EVERYONE MUST VOTE. DEMOCRATIC.
.
October 4th, 2008 at 12:40 amyes, game, rachel is outstanding!
she makes me so proud, and she’s better each show.
October 4th, 2008 at 12:42 amA Heartbeat Away
October 4th, 2008 at 12:46 amSeems like all the Dem or should I say, groups grounded in competence and practicality, are throwing the anvils like they are about to be put into Prohibition. If Sarah wants to save herself and her angry pants sugar daddy, I suggest grabbing Billo’s cameramen, getting dressed in blackface and hope to the deity in deep space that doesn’t care about us, that Barack is drunk as hell and doesn’t notice the woman claiming to be his wife has a black face and a pasty white body.
Hope for the GOP is like the movie Less Than Zero, just in title only.
October 4th, 2008 at 12:53 amKaty, you’re right. I don’t trust the Republicans, they’ll pull every trick they can, right up to election day.
October 4th, 2008 at 12:58 amHad Enough-sorry i just got online after finally taking the computer away from my teens–but I WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE WITH YOU
They lied and told us the WMDs were in Iraq so we would invade–they have lied about 9/11 or we would be looking in Saudi Arabia for the terrorists’ cells (’cept they have the oil we are so tied to), they have stolen elections in the past and screwed this country into the ground so far that my grandkids, if I have them, will be paying for it just so they and their cronies could make a buck and f**k us all
SO WHY WOULDN’T THEY TRY TO DO IT AGAIN?
I think it is a very serious prospect that we should be concerned about and guard against.
October 4th, 2008 at 1:00 amI wish like hell this was one of Obamas TV ads…It actually gave me chills watching her parrot the same lines…Of course, she DID have the same coaches!
October 4th, 2008 at 1:22 amShe reminds me somewhat more of Vlad the ImPaler.
October 4th, 2008 at 2:12 amDamn! Lipstick on a pig after all!
October 4th, 2008 at 2:20 amhad enough Says:

Send out Guy Fawkes masks, hats and capes….

You shoulda mentioned the Dems did not fight for Ohio or any other state in 2004, either Exit polls in Ohio said Kerry won by 4.2%. Official version was Bush won by 2.5%. It is not possible to have that large a difference. Yes, I heard the one about “shy Republicans” and it’s a lie. Kerry won the entire nation by 3 million. Gore won Florida by 300,000. The REPUBLICAN computer expert said Ohio was stolen in 2004. Read about it at BradBlog.
Gahanna, Ohio-Ward 1-B had 638 total voters. Bush got 4,258 votes! That’s only one example out of a thousand.
That they did not try to steal 2006 is also a myth. Exit polls said Dems won by 11.5%. Official version is they only won by 7.6%.
As for last part, I remember the Ohio National Guard killing four innocent people at Kent State, which was on American soil.
October 4th, 2008 at 6:15 amThe real reason “conservatives” going to blow up is because, like in their defense of Bush (who’s only redeeming value is the “R” next to his name) they are forced to defend the words and actions of an idiot.
October 4th, 2008 at 6:44 amI’m not to worried. Even Redstate has pretty much given up
October 4th, 2008 at 7:25 amon a mccain/palin win. They really don’t care for mccain and
palin has not impressed them. Also there is a sleeping giant
of unpoled democrats with cell phones (no land line). 62% dems VS 28% rep that are not being polled.
A caller on Thom Hartman mentioned one thing we could do is protest peacefully in huge masses… maybe carry signs asking the world for help.
Were that to happen would the media cover it?
Think of the massive war protest marches that were barely covered, and when they were covered, the crowds were vastly underreported.
An army brigade recently back from Iraq has been given the mission of crowd control on domestic soil. What do you think that’s for?
This cabal of criminals can and will attempt to steal this election – and they may succeed despite record turnouts; voter disenfranchisement is one of their hallmarks.
Corrupt machinery; poorly trained judges; and discouraging misinformation deliberately told to potential voters are common tactics.
Perhaps if we turn out in heretofore unmatched numbers, we can prevent a theft, but don’t count on it. Be vigilant; do your part.
October 4th, 2008 at 7:59 amThey are practiced criminals – do not trust them.
i particularly like the wink she gives at the end. almost as if she’s acknowledging even she doesn’t believe in the happy horseshit she’s spewing and if you do…well, then she has a bridge to nowhere to sell you.
October 4th, 2008 at 8:35 amWhat’s the difference between Bush and Palin?
One’s a twit; the other is a twat.
I’ll let you decide which is which.
October 4th, 2008 at 9:43 amWhoever compiled the Keith Olbermann and Progressive Accountability videos needs a raise. Quick!!!
October 4th, 2008 at 10:21 amI’d like to see a whole video comparing Bush and Palin with all their winks, interspersed with Bush failures related to the same McCain policies (iraq war, economic troubles,…), with the sarcastic backdrop of “it’s a wonderful life”
October 4th, 2008 at 11:03 amsatirev Says:
Split screen: Palin’s now famous suggestive “wink” juxtaposed with McPappy’s sleazy “hhehh”.
Followed by Bob Dole’s Viagra ad?

“““““““““““““““““““““““
Guido I hear you but haven’t you heard…a couple of months ago the US & Canada signed an agreement where one country can use the other countries military in times of natural disasters, civil unrest etc, etc.
And of course there is always UN forces or BlackwaterUSA type merceneries who could be used. If America wants to protest they should protest on April 15th by not paying their taxes.
Are we being represented by our government? What would they do if one million Americans refused to pay taxes on April 15th and held a protest noting this?
American Taxpayer Revolt of 2009
No Taxation Without Representation
October 4th, 2008 at 12:34 pmWhat are our options if Nov. 5 the election was again obvious stolen?
1. We can sit here another 4 years typing complaints on our computer.
2. We can take to the streets in anger risking harm, loss of property and destruction.
3. We can now all agree to meet peacefully at a capital building or nearest federal building @ noon in masses showing support for a recount and carry signs in protest and asking the world to help.
#3 was from a caller, a professor of social science, on Thom Hartman’s show. She is right.. we need to prepare now.
October 4th, 2008 at 2:30 pmToday we live in era where everything is a gamble and gambling often brings losers , Gambling with investors money caused a melt down in our financial entities . The GOP is loaded with gamblers and gambling with our our security or our financial condition is of less concern to them than being able to be in a position to continue gambling . Their VP selection is a gamble and with their media and voting machine control they know they can divide the electorate enough to win legally or illegally . Our congress just handed the gamblers $700 billion to continue gambling without any rule changes . SO it is business as usual and by the time the next admin takes over that money will be blowing in the wind and our treasury will have not enough funds to operate , which means massive cuts in something the electorate will not like .
October 4th, 2008 at 3:35 pmThey’re stealing the election now. If Obama is installed, however, it will be because he did his bit by passing the Big Heist.
One thing you can count on—the neocons won’t change. Having no conscience is a physiological condition that cannot be altered or willed away. At least the left might learn to stop trying to appeal to a conscience that isn’t there.
October 4th, 2008 at 6:23 pmOne thing I have noticed about Sarah Palin, the bigger the smirk on her face, the bigger the lie she is getting ready to tell.
October 4th, 2008 at 8:05 pmI don’t know if there is a line you can’t cross in American politics. But this is it. McCain is betraying his own country. I never liked his policies much. But I know that is the foundation of democracy – not agreeing. Right now I am starting to despise the man and everything he stands for. He is a greedy bastard. With no honor. No decency. He is an unAmerican unpatriotic pig. And no matter how much lipstick he wears. You can’t hide your true self for ever. We can see who he is. Unpatriotic and UnAmerican.
McCain, what you said is not American. What you said is not patriotic. What you said is not in the interest of America. What you said is a lie sold to all Americans. What you said is about your own greed. What you said is fearmongering. What is said was unethical. What you said is without honor. What you said is the type of thing the enemies of this great country and real terrorists will say.
October 4th, 2008 at 11:22 pmhttp://angryafrican.net/2008/10/04/mccain-is-unethical-unpatriotic-and-unamerican-and-without-honor/
I watched the debate at a bar. I was sitting next to “joe six-pack ” Let me say from the bottom of my heart I don’t want that a**hole anywhere near the White House let alone a 72 year old heartbeat away from the presidency Like Palin he had no understanding of one of the main purposes of debate It’s to demonstrate the ability of the candidate to think on their feet by answering a question Not as Palin did supply the question and then answer it with your prepared text Fear of offending this monster keeps anyone from calling her on her lack of understanding the process or the job
October 5th, 2008 at 10:37 amFacts on the McCain Health Care Plan==
Barack Obama And Joe Biden Have Consistently Lied To Americans About John McCain’s Plan. Their claims have failed every fact-check – from CBS to the Washington Post. John McCain is not going to raise taxes on middle class families. Barack Obama and Joe Biden are the only ones in this race that plan to raise taxes.
Transforming The Tax Code To Create Greater Equity: The McCain plan transforms the current tax code to provide all American families – including the self-employed and the uninsured – the same tax benefit, a $5,000 refundable tax credit ($2,500 for individuals) that was previously only available to those with employer coverage. Families can use this credit to purchase insurance of their choice, including keeping their current coverage. This is an approach supported by Barack Obama’s own Senior Economic Advisor Jason Furman who wrote that “we could scrap the current deduction altogether and replace it with progressive tax credits that, together with other changes, would ensure that every American has affordable health insurance.”
Better Than “Members of Congress”: Under the McCain Plan, your employer can provide you with health insurance as good as a “Member of Congress”, and you would pay no more in taxes – regardless of your tax bracket. In fact, you would have some additional money left over from the McCain tax credit to put in a health savings account.
On The Issue Of Congressional Plan – There Are Options, But All Are Under The FEHB Program: A good example is the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Service Benefit Plan, which has combined monthly premiums for family coverage of $1027.95, for an annual cost of $12,335.40.
