After trying to slam Obama/Biden for supposedly "saying one thing in Scranton , and another in SanFransisco" Palin's saying one thing in Sitka and another in Sarasota....

Talking to the Florida seniors? promise no cuts to medicare/medicade and that social security will be there.
Talking to anybody else, you'll find "efficiencies" and slash those entitlements....

Hypocrites still

Katy - glad to hear that Sheriff Scott is going to be investigated for a "possible" violation of the Hatch Act. This guy is the sheriff of MY county. And I was one of those folks that called to inquire about the legality of this. His rationale that he's on duty 24/7, 365 days per year doesn't mean do-do. He isn't allowed to do what he did. Needless to say, he was up there, bigger than life, wearing his uniform and badge. He can't even say he was speaking as an ordinary American citizen.

it’s official: delusion.

Cindy McCain: Obama’s Waged “Dirtiest Campaign” in U.S. History

Katy, that’s not delusion. I believe the clinical name for it is psychological projection.

It’s a malady frequently found among the conservative.

“What I have found is that it’s necessary to make sure the American people understand what we have to say, what we stand for as a husband and wife, and what we will do for the American people if we’re lucky enough to be elected,” Cindy McCain said.

What fu(king office is McPillPopping thief running for ???????

Since when in the hell is the presidency ever considered a husband-wife endeavor ?

Paul Krugman, on Countdown last night, said a better measurement of the credit markets was NOT the stock market but the yield on U.S. Treasury bonds and securities. The stock market volatility certainly results in large sell offs of equities and putting the money in the "full faith of the U.S. government," because investors have a tendency to panic. Naturally, this leads to an on-going downward spiral of value of either equities or yields. The real issue is lack of confidence and trust...in the financial system and in the government. It doesn't help when you see Paulson and Bernanke in panic mode and the talking heads on all news programs in panic mode too. And the "boy who yelled wolf" is still President and still telling us all that "it's going to be alright."

There's only one way this can be helped, and that's jobs and people able to pay their mortgages and spend to support the rest of the economy. It's called a jobs program and would have been far better, probably even in the short term, in saving us, than throwing $700B away + the previous $350B to buy junk from the investment bankers.

Hmm, so Cindy, this means that pointing out McCain's documented record in the Keating Five scandal is dirtier than Karl Rove telling people your husband had fathered an illegitimate Black child? Or maybe the drugs made you forget all about 2000.

UPDATE: Palin campaign spokesperson Tracey Schmitt issued the following statement on Sherriff Scott’s remarks: “We do not condone this inappropriate rhetoric which distracts from the real questions of judgment, character, and experience that voters will base their decisions on this November.”

and under his breath, "Neither do we condemn this rhetoric."

Which promise would that be, Sarah! The one he made yesterday, or the opposite one he made today? How long til she gets a clue? This woman must have the longest learning curve, ever! When is she going to get that it isn't enough to just memorize this mornings' official talking points? She has to read (and comprehend) a couple of national newspapers every day-The front page and business sections, not just the "Style" section and the comics- and she has to find out what both McCain and other campaign advisors said to the media yesterday, that she's going to have to respond to, and be in line with today. I supposed it's possible that it's not entirely her fault that she can't keep up. If her staff is as inept as the rest of the McSame campaign. But you'd think that "Sarah Barracuda" would be tough enough to demand superlative staffing and prep. Nah... I think she's just a mean dingbat who doesn't know when she's in over her head.

ah! here's one:

Feds investigating sheriff after 'Hussein' remark

LEE COUNTY: Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott may have more to worry about than just the court of public opinion. Federal investigators are now looking into whether Scott broke the law by campaigning for John McCain.

Officials with the U.S. Office of Special Counsel say they have received so many phone calls from the public that they launched an investigation into Sheriff Scott on Tuesday.

The question is - did he use his position as sheriff to influence an election? If so, he could be in violation of a federal election law called the Hatch Act.

looking at google news, didn't find that story, yet, but did see this:

Fla. Sheriff Plays The “Hussein” Card At Palin Event; Campaign Calls Remark “Inappropriate”

From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott took the stage moments ago as one of the introductory speakers at a rally here for Sarah Palin. After delivering brief remarks in support of Palin, Sheriff Scott flipped the switch and used Barack Obama’s middle name in order to incite the crowd of thousands of people who have already gathered here.

“On Nov. 4, let’s leave Barack Hussein Obama wondering what happened,” the law enforcement officer said.
