Fox report: ‘More and more’ McCain rallies are taunting Obama as ‘traitor, criminal, and even terrorist.’

Fox News’ political reporter Carl Cameron is on the trail with John McCain. Reporting from a live McCain rally this evening, he said:

You’ll hear the booing behind me. In recent days, when Barack Obama’s name has been mentioned, it has gone from boos and hissing to actual chants and calls of traitor, criminal, and even terrorist.

The McCain campaign says they don’t condone it, they don’t want to see it happen, but it’s happening more and more every day.

Watch it:

The crowd reaction may have something to do with the frequent charges from the McCain campaign that Obama “pals around with terrorists.”

Update During one of McCain's rallies, a man could be heard yelling, "Off with his head," when McCain spoke about Obama's tax plan. (HT: Jed Report)

We need to talk about when John McCain sat on the board of the World Anti Communist League in the early 80’s. There were anti-Semites, neo-Nazis, racists, and fascists all in the organization.

  6. impeachcheneythenbush says:

Huh…wrong video. As for the McCain campaign…”don’t condone it and don’t want to see it happen.” Yeah…not much they don’t. Maybe they need to tell both McCain and Palin.

  7. 5th Estate says:

re all of the above…and if McCain doesn’t start telling these yahoos to stop acting like a braying ignorant mob it will just get worse.
This isn’t a matter of striking the right tone, there’s definite risk attached to allowing such behavior to continue unremarked.

  8. spencers mom says:

I’m a big supporter of the First Amendment, but perhaps the Secret Service should just shut down these rallies until McCain/Palin can assure them that they will not allow such rants to continue.

McCain is so far in the ditch, his last hope is that Obama is not “on the ballot” on November 4th, and he’s inciting the very redneck lunatics who could and would do his bidding, all in the name of “country.”

I hope and pray that Obama’s Secret Service squad is the elitest of the elite.

That is a very scary thought . . . especially because I believe it to be true.

The saddest thing of all is that this divisiveness will make it all the much harder for us to come together as a nation after Obama’s election and get on with the business of the country.

GDumbya has dug such a large and deep hole that it will take the efforts of all Americans to begin climbing out. From the looks of it, we have some fellow citizens who are going to continue to be dead weight after inauguration day.

If they truly don’t want to see it happen then why don’t they start each rally with a caution that they do not condone calling people names, threatening people or acting in an uncivil way.

Cindy made a pretty big financial investment in some day being first lady. It’s not working out for her so it doesn’t surprise me to see her becoming unhinged. I used to disapprove of McCain. Now he disgusts me.

  28. fletc3her says:

Of course the McCain campaign is organizing these cries from the audience. This is no different from the “spontanous” chants of “Drill, Baby, Drill” which are heard at the rallies. McCain staffers in the crowd start the chant at the appropriate time and the crowd joins enthusiastically while waving pre-printed signs containing the slogan. Now, McCain’s campaign has added the unsavory shouting of epithets to their crowd control repertoire. McCain and Palin could nip this in the bud tomorrow if they wanted.

Or, to put it another way. If they cannot control the crowd at their own campaign events then what kind of leaders do we expect them to be in Washington?

The information these man were tortured for was not for terror but for information about China only. What as McCain the Military POW have to say for his vote of support. The United States takes pride in being the leader of human rights but no longer. Hearing of the torture and false imprisonment of innocent people brings back the Hitlers of old. ____________

The Youtube this phony links to is really, really dishonest. Here’s the truth about S. 900, “Comrade”…

    From Wiki:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gramm-Leach-Bliley_Act

    Congressional history of the Act

The bills were introduced in the Senate by Phil Gramm (R-TX) and in the House of Representatives by James Leach (R-IA). The bills were passed by a 54-44 vote along party lines with Republican support in the Senate and by a 343-86 vote in the House of Representatives. Nov 4, 1999: After passing both the Senate and House the bill was moved to a conference committee to work out the differences between the Senate and House versions. Democrats agreed to support the bill after Republicans agreed to strengthen provisions of the Community Reinvestment Act and address certain privacy concerns.[1] The final bill resolving the differences was passed in the Senate 90-8-1 and in the House: 362-57-15. This ‘veto proof legislation’ was signed into law by President Bill Clinton on November 12, 1999[2]

    S. 900 was introduced by Republicans. The Republican majority in both houses passed it at the time. John McCain voted YES for the bill when it first came up on the Senate floor.

McCain DID NOT vote against the final version. He simply didn’t vote.

Yes, Clinton signed it, IN THE FACE OF VETO-PROOF GOOP MAJORITY.

Gee, is your little Youtube shi’ite bomb just little misleading, or what?

And as for McCain and regulation of Freddie Mac, we find this:

    http://mpandgs.blogspot.com/2008/09/on-john-mccains-warning-about-fannie.html

John McCain’s 2005 “Warning” About Fannie, Freddie & Dems “Blocking” Regulation

A bit late passing this along, but John McCain’s claim that he issued a warning against the excesses of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac during the 2005-06 legislative year was given a “barely true” by Politifact. On 25 May, 2006, Senator McCain signed on as a co-sponsor to Chuck Hagel’s effort to overhaul Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (which Senator Hagel intoduced in January, 2005) following the publication of “a 340-page report from the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight.”* However, as Politifact points out,
his attempts to depict those efforts as some sort of early warning that could have lessened the current credit crisis just don’t wash. All McCain was talking about then was the potential fallout of accounting troubles in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. He didn’t say anything about a freewheeling climate among creditors that had major financial institutions becoming badly leveraged on bad loans.
Additionally, those rumors that Democrats alone blocked GOP proposal, S.190, to regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Questionable claims, for the bill never got out of committee:
Last Action [July 28, 2005]: Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. Ordered to be reported with an amendment in the nature of a substitute favorably.
    Status: Dead
So the bill was never brought to a full Senate vote. Recall that the Republicans were the majority in 2005-06, and the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs consisted of 11 Republicans and 9 Democrats (for a full listing of the members of the 2005-06 Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, see this entry at Sourcewatch). In other words, the proposal could have been voted out of committee and brought to the Senate floor had the GOP members had supported it.

And so on and so on and so…

But yer right about one thing, “Comrade”…

You can find all sorts of things on Google! ;-D!!

It’s time for the American people to get it right and NOT vote for McCain-Palin, instead vote for change. It’s time for this country to turn the page and seek a new and better future for ourselves and our children. It’s time for REAL change in Washington, it’s time to elect Barack Obama for president !

Obama-Biden are the wiser and stronger team to solve the crucial challenges we have in this nation and abroad !

I can’t even say how utterly disgusted and enraged by this despicable – utterly effing DESPICABLE – conduct by McCain/Palin!

John McCain and Sarah Palin are hand-feeding the beast, inciting the lynch mobs, tacitly encouraging the assassination of an American presidential candidate.

I have never, ever in my life been more ASHAMED – and absolutely enraged.

THEY ARE TRAITORS TO THIS COUNTRY.

  83. AmandaBlow says:

Racist republicans. They are the reason this country is headed straight to hell. I don’t hear anyone calling the idiot a criminal for what he has done. He’s the one whose head should chopped off. He’s the one that staged 9/11 and misled this country into a criminal war.
I am very ashamed of these criminals. I think the republican party should be abolished. No more racist warmongers traitors! I want the idiot’s head cut off. Shame on all you racist republicans, you are the stain that just won’t wash off!
